  1. I'd definitely go with a lightweight built AR. Plenty of options out there to make it to your specs.
  2. Wish my safe was big enough to fit the ammo. I much prefer to have everything secure in a safe and nicely organized rather than packed into plastic containers with dinky padlocks on them. Unfortunately, in my current home there is simply no space for that. I'm hoping in the future my current safe will get shelves put in and become just a big ammo safe, and then i'll get something larger for strictly firearm storage. That'd be cool.
  3. I decided not to purchase it but sent Blueline his info to see if he can work out a deal with the guy. I'm not too skeptical, i got a never fired DD rifle for 1000$ instead of 1700$+, it just sat for a while. I don't think he's an FFL though i could be wrong. Could just be the guy is going out of business.
  4. Exactly. I'd take my chances with PayPal, haha.
  5. Who protects me if he deposits a MO and i never get my stuff?? Fairly gray area.
  6. Forget about the safes... I want to see what the hell is under those to keep them from going through the floor! What the heck do you have in there?! I think i see THREE of them, each about the size of my darn house. Oh, wait, is that like a single huge double door safe? That'd be cool.
  7. On the contrary. I don't think ANYONE want's to die at the hands of a pink firearm.. Certainly not terrorists. I Don't see why it matters. I'm sure my daughter will be getting the same thing to learn on; a pink 10-22. Not like it makes it any less accurate/reliable/deadly in the right hands.
  8. Lmao. Good news is, during the next civil war it'll be the republicans who are willing to fight (most) versus Liberals drawing straws for who gets to play soldier. My bet is, we'll win... Hahahaha.
  9. Any suggestions on a reasonably priced comp? Trying to get an estimate as to what it should run me to get the thing compliant and in my safe.
  10. I'll let you know if i end up not picking it up. Not a bad price at all, lol. Send me a PM so i don't forget. I'll let the guy know to consider it sold regardless. You'll have to pay with paypal or something because the guy is in like alabama or arkansas or some shit and is shipping it to here.
  11. Oh, ok.. not bad at all. It does in fact have a flashhider. I'm seriously considering picking the thing up.. Any suggestions for FFL Transfers that are cheap and can do the compliance work around Woodbridge? Heritage guild is up the street but i think they were expensive. Also, any suggestions on something compliant that'll work? My understanding is the F.H. is just threaded into the barrel, so i'd like to just find something i can thread into there and have them weld it. Thanks!
  12. ^ha... Newark Airport may as well be the mountains in Pennsylvania compared to the area of Newark i'd be in.
  13. Any idea as to what it'd cost to have something compliant pinned/welded?
  14. I'll contact the guy and find out now. Certainly something that needs to be taken into account.
  15. Found this for sale from an out of state seller, willing to ship it to me for 600$, so i'd only have to pay for FFL Transfer ( i believe). "NIB PTR 32 KFR Gen2, 7.62x39 caliber, 16" tapered match grade barrel, HK91 length hand guard, welded scope mount, (1) 30 round PMag, factory papers and case." Obviously i can't have the 30rd pmag. Are these any good? Online they seem to go for 900$+, so 600$ doesn't sound bad. I can probably knock him down a few more bucks (even though hes already going down quite a bit) because i can't use the 30rd pmag obviously. I've wanted something more compact, and this might not be too bad. 7.62 is a fairly common caliber, too, and is fairly cheap. I'd probably just get some steel cased for it. Let me know what you guy's think.
  16. Not too big a deal for the older folks on here, but i'm 22.. By the time i'm of retirement age, kitchen knives will have to be dull so the libtards don't slip and kill themselves. Ugh..
  17. With my luck, i'd be stuck in F**king Newark..... Hahaha
  18. Regarding the fixed thing, my home is technically a mobile home, wonder if i am allowed to carry here or not. Its on blocks and can't go anywhere without a tri-axle and without removing the blocks and what not, but in reality, it IS just a big trailer.. Has wheels underneath and all.. LOL
  19. Precisely. That's what i'm not sure about, and again, every time i went in between one tenant to the other i'd have to lock up the firearm and head over to the next.
  20. Make sure you get something you like the first time. Bought a sig m400 for over 1200$ after nics, taxes, etc. only to pick up a really nice DD a few months later off a member on here... Paid less for it, but performs much better IMO. Haven't put enough rounds through it (only 100 or so so far) to see if its reliable or accurate, but the recoil seems to be much, much more controllable for a small guy such as myself with the comp and all on there.. The Sig may become a safe queen, or, get traded for a new toy. The MP Sports are great entry level AR's. You get what you pay for, but you wont be able to build anything comparable for the price. Definitely a good place to start, and you can do what i did and swap out grips, handguard, etc. to make it your own. I Threw FDE grip and handguard and probably going to do the stock too on the Sig. Generally speaking, i'd say build your own, but you won't really be able to build anything nice for the price point you're looking at. Honestly, if you don't mind picking up a lightly used rifle, i'd probably just keep an eye out on gunbroker, armslist, and this forum for a good deal on a rifle. I Got a new Daniel Defense rifle that was sitting in a safe for a while but was never fired, in still new condition with original case and papers and all for 60-70% of its original MSRP. Plus, didn't have to do any compliance work, pay for any ffl, etc... not the deal of a lifetime, but i wish i waited and got this instead of buying the sig originally. I'd have spent the 1200 on some type of 308 AR or something of the sort.
  21. No code necessary. Prices shown aren't the discount prices, the discount will appear once added into the cart. It won't show you what the ammo costs per round after the discount, but you'll see the discount in the overall breakdown. Just spent way too much money on ammo, but won't need to order any for a while. PLUS, new customers get FREE SHIPPING. Ordered 1,000 rds of reman .223 to try out for 25 cents a a piece (25.2 cents each, i believe)... about the same cost as steel cased via SGammo when you factor in shipping. Plus, i can either send the casings back in, donate them to a user on here @ Scrap price or just take them to a scrap yard to scrap when prices go up. Isn't much, but it adds up fast. Already have a huge bin full of casings.
  22. In her defense, the Katana is more of her thing. Leave the whole gun thing to Rick and Carl.... haha
  23. Maybe we can all open mobile jewelry stores in our vehicles??? LOL
  24. It never got off topic.. All related, if you ask me.. Just trying to come up with some sort of SHTF to-do list. I have an F150 super crew 4x4 with a 5.5' bed and cap, so i can fit a fair amount of crap in there. I live in Woodbridge in a mobile home community, so it's a fairly shitty area to be in with paper thin walls and being vulnerable in general. I'd probably have to risk driving down to east brunswick where at least i have some family, and my parents house is brick so its fairly secure. In reality, way too many entry points be it windows, rear entrance which is a sliding glass door, etc.. Definitely not the best location to hunker down. I'd probably go there, meet with them, and take the two trucks out to the boonies.. Problem is, like you guy's said the roads would be so backed up in reality that we wouldn't be able to really get anywhere. Maybe i should get a big push bar on the front of my truck mounted directly to the frame instead of my winch and light bar mount.
  25. I already loaded the mags. Not about to unload them. And i have a speedloader, but 10+ ar mags, 4 1911 mags 4 15-22 mags and all my buddies as well take time to load. And thats on the light side lol.. nevermind having to unload a few before going anywhere.
