  1. Here is the relevant paragraph of 2C:39-6g (the actual law). I thought you would tact the 60 seconds to read the actual law that is referenced at the end "For additional exemptions refer to Chapter 39, namely 2C:39-6g". The part you highlighted in red is not part of the law. "g.All weapons being transported under paragraph (2) of subsection b., subsection e., or paragraph (1) or (3) of subsection f. of this section shall be carried unloaded and contained in a closed and fastened case, gunbox, securely tied package, or locked in the trunk of the automobile in which it is being transported, and in the course of travel shall include only such deviations as are reasonably necessary under the circumstances."
  2. I have never seen a person be so consistently wrong on every topic that he posts in. You were wrong once again and were proven to be wrong, yet you continue to argue as if you were right. The web page where you copied and pasted from has the correct information. As usual, you choose only the information that supported your opinion. Here is the relevant portion from the exact web page: All firearms transported into the State of New Jersey: Shall be carried unloaded and contained in a closed and fastened case, gunbox, securely tied package, or locked in the trunk of the automobile in which it is being transported, and in the course of travel, shall include only such deviations as are reasonably necessary under the circumstances. The firearm should not be directly accessible from the passenger compartment of the vehicle. If the vehicle does not have a compartment separate from the passenger compartment, the firearm and ammunition must be in a locked container other than the vehicle's glove compartment or console. For additional exemptions refer to Chapter 39, namely 2C:39-6g.
  3. Just finished ordering the Henry Model X in 44 Mag. I own two Marlin lever actions and like them a lot. Both are "JM". One is a Model 336 (30-30) that was made in 1973 and the other one is a Model 1894 in .357 Mag that was made in 1979. I have not seen a single Marlin made since Remington Outdoor Company bought them that comes remotely close to the quality.
  4. I have hunted and killed with 44 magnum. I am just curious about the X Model in particular. I think I will order one tonight.
  5. The M1A standard with walnut stock is 9lbs 3oz. How much does your AR10 weigh with AR accessories like optics, etc?
  6. I have been spending some time looking at these online and have been tempted to buy one in 44 Mag. I was wondering if anyone on the forum either owns one or has any experience shooting the X Model. I really like the side loading gate. My primary interest in this is for hunting whitetail. My property on my new house is much more wooded than the other spots I have been hunting. It looks like a perfect brush gun. I also have an old Ruger 44 Carbine that can be used for this purpose but I don't own a Henry lever action.
  7. I just saw and read a rebuttal from the guy stating that the megaphone was not his and was handed to him. He states that he is in no way a white nationalist and has a muti-racial family. Smear campaigns are used all the time to discredit people that are opposing the government. This seems to be just the kind of attack. I get that the guy drove drunk and killed someone in 2007 and served time in prison for it. You state that he has "known ties to a white supremacist group". Do you know that this is in fact true? If not, then this is a pretty reckless statement to make on the forum. I don't know the man or enough about him to judge him. It could be true, or not. It is irresponsible to post a statement like that without proof.
  8. People in NJ just need to say screw you to the Governor and the cops. If enough people had the balls to show up the show of defiance would make a difference. I just saw that here in VA our shitty governor's order for people not to use the beaches for sunbathing and swimming were ignored. Here is the link: https://www.foxnews.com/us/virginia-beach-weekend-crowd-northam-reopen-memorial-day?fbclid=IwAR0np26du6SU-pmejcJpiMWQRQAPe4ukcWVi9yEr62x69SZEamGw9eeZAh4
  9. You can choose not to read or react to the posts, it is not just a function of the Ignore list. You are choosing to be annoyed by the posts.
  10. I agree with this 100%. To say "The fact is a law doesn't become unconstitutional until a court says it is." is simply not true. This would be akin to the Nuremburg Defense "Just following orders". A police officer should use judgement and experience to decide.
  11. Here in VA the VCDL (I am a member) informed people and groups organically in each county. They get the word out and people locally get together using Facebook and standing in front or stores and at festivals. The gun culture in VA is very strong. I wrote about this before that we had a county meeting to vote on our county becoming a 2A sanctuary county. The meeting location was moved to the county high school and thousands showed. A very large percentage of the population here cares and gets involved. In NJ people want others to organize for them and most of the time will not show up for things like protests and political meetings. I see too many posts about worrying about getting in trouble, having to work, etc. It appears that the 2A is simply just not a high enough of a priority for most people in NJ. Civil disobedience is not just for the left.
  12. I stop by and talk to the older couple every couple of weeks and have gotten t know them. The shop is very close to my office. He offered me the same deal on a Ruger Super Redhawk 480. I may take him up on it.
  13. Got home tonight and shot 9 rds of Georgia Arms 158gr Speer Bonded HP +P ammo and 9 rds of 125g JHP. The 158gr ammo was awesome with a nice fireball. The 125gr felt like 38 spl. The gun is very accurate and smooth. I am really going to like this.
  14. I couldn't have said "I'll take it any faster than I did" It is in really good shape.
