  1. Sorry for the mistake but still holds true. I did see however that the 6.8 ammo is like $1 a round. Not sure if reloading is an option. Maks, I haven't looked to far yet, just beginning the search.
  2. Okay so we all know that .556 is standard but since I saw something that the .556 is supposedly not deadly enough, I am thinking about getting the 6.8mm .270 caliber. This is available in a hunting version of the AR/M4 http://www.bushmaster.com/catalog_xm15_BCWA3F16M468_bg.asp?zoom_highlight=6%2E8mm Any advice/ opinions are welcomed.
  3. You can wear a gun in a holster on your property, but you can't threaten someone with it if they aren't breaking the law. A census worker walking up to your house is not something you can pull a gun over. He also resisted arrest, which just tells you the guy is out of line. There are not a lot of residents getting arrested for anything in Westfield; the Westfield PD will do anything to avoid arresting a resident. In my opinion, this guy should spend some time in federal prison. It's a federal crime to threaten federal employees, and it has nothing to do with the 2nd A. or gun rules. In my own observance, it doesn't take much to get charged with resisting arrest. I have seen men get a summons for public urination, prior to actually commiting the offense. When I commented on the office giving the ticket to my buddy for a preparatory offense, I was aksed if I wanted to be arrested for obstruction......I don't take much stock in what cops charge people with.
  4. haha......is that your 1911 or are you just happy to see me? Is that a Garand that Clint is holding?
  5. Lunker, that was great. Brought back a lot of memories shooting at that thing. That Garand is sweet. Maybe three on the rifles. My daughter is twisting my arm on a 15-22......lol Thanks again guys for a great time. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and thinking of joining Sunday. I am trying to get my daughter to shoot .22lr there on Sunday. Is there an age requirement for the range?
  6. If your shooting shotgun, I believe you need to pick up your shells. That is all we heard all day. Thanks again Chris for taking us. I had a great time and shooting the Garand was fun.
  7. Are we meeting up at 1 today?
  8. Chris, I am not a member, can you guest me in? I will give you a call. I am down for 1pm or later.
  9. It looks to be DA/SA so it won't have a safety.
  10. I really can't add anything that hasn't been said but I will add to Don's post. When people bring their toy's, it costs me money because either me or the wife wants it. I joked about an AR but now after the wife shot Don's, I got the green light! lol Stop costing me moolah!
  11. I think Lunker had a HK with him. It was great seeing everybody. Thanks Tony! I will call you about the Bushmaster.
  12. :text-yeahthat: Dina and Caroline are sisters and Chris is the brother of Dina and Caroline. It's not like I know them personally, this was all said on the show. I remember them in the offices around South Beach and they treated me well when I brought food upstairs to them. Oh and it's not just the Ny'ers giving NJ a bad rap. There is plenty of trashy NJians that contribute.
  13. I like that avatar Don. I was able to check out Don's BUSH.....uh..bushmaster that is last night. Nice! You got me jonesing for one. Ever since all this asault gun ban stuff is in the air, I am thinking of getting one. I will be there tonight. My better half will be making an appearance to try her Kimber out. I hope she likes it.
  14. Chris, I took Friday off to go shoot at Coliers Mills with the local PD guys. I might have to stop by and join Dix.
  15. I thought they notified your employer, not actually sent a questionare....That's news to me.
  16. Hey hey...I am from Staten Island........................ Let's be honest, NY'ers spend a lot of $$ at the NJ shore. We rented houses as late teens/ early twenties and they were a fortune. Three houses were 30K each. It was like 1.5K each person and if you were a couple sharing a rm, it was like 2K each. Not bad considering is was for like 5 mos...
  17. When you live 3 minutes away from the flags, you know that the town get's lots of money from speeding tickets. All those towns do. It helps pay for the PD.
  18. I watched it last season with my wife. I lost interest really quick but did happen to hear familiar names on the show. The two sisters are married to the Manzo brothers. Their familiy owned a carting company in Staten Island years ago. I believe it was bought by Waste Management when their father died. They had their office in the town I grew up in. Bernard Kerik was also on the show last year, guess the prison sentence will mean he's out for this year!
  19. In my opinion, this is sound advice. I would seek legal representation. Especially a lawyer that does gun license cases...It may cost you a little but if you take a chance and lose, it will cost you more by not being able to get a permit in the long run.
  20. Congrats on the XD. Great gun, I like it a lot.
  21. what the heck is this? Looks like a mop!
  22. Who are "we" ? Did I miss something? I thought we were talking about a puli Ah..hahahaha.. This happens, get used to it. What exactly is a puli?
  23. Anybody know where I can get some? Seems to be out of site. Ammo to go had some a couple of weeks ago and I waited so.......
