  1. ...then make sure to visit Allen Arms (http://www.allenarms.net). I was just there yesterday, and they have a top notch facility and a large selection of rental guns, including full auto AK's, AR's and even a full auto Glock. I rented a full-auto AK...what a blast! (quite literally).
  2. A Taurus Judge! dude you have to bring that to the next meetup
  3. It was great meeting you. Thanks for letting me shoot your CZ. Definitely the best one there last night.
  4. It's right next to the pool and the park. When you get there you'll see a basketball court. The range is right next to the court, parking is in front of the court.
  5. This guy is going to become the anti's poster boy now. But I think he makes a compelling argument for the right to carry anywhere...period. If any one of those board members had been carrying, I think it would have ended rather quickly.
  6. I say let's get this here....and the new bill being considered by the Florida Senate to allow open carry....but I ain't holding my breath
  7. Bah...who needs him...let him go to the NL
  8. Yeah, I am definitely considering the SP-01 steel frame. I've never liked the feel of plastic guns. I'm spending the holidays with my brother and his family in SC and will be visiting a range that carries and rents the CZs (http://www.allenarms.net)...hell you can even rent a full-auto there. Looking forward to that.
  9. So far this has been my experience. I've been to two dealers (Caso's, and Bullet Hole) and they won't even talk to you about a handgun or show you one unless you have your FPID.
  10. Yeah...I just realized that...I guess I need a little more coffee to kick-start the brain this morning...it is monday after all.
  11. OK, I'm just trying to understand the rules around handgun permits here. I recently (two and a half weeks ago) applied for my FID and three handgun permits. I understand that I can only purchase a handgun every 30 days --and-- that handgun permits expire in 90 days. Does that mean that I would have to purchase my first handgun the very same day I get my permits in order to be able to purchase all three within the 90 day window and not have to request an extension? The reason I ask is because when I turned in my paperwork at the Bayonne PD, the detective questioned why I wanted three permits, and said "make sure you use them before they expire, because the chief will not be happy if you have to ask for an extension". WTF? This state is really f****d up!
  12. That Phantom model is the one with the plastic...I mean polymer...frame...right?
  13. ...which is probably what I'll do. I'm assuming the 10rd mags are the same size as 19 rounders, just pinned for 10 rds?
  14. The CZ-USA web site says it's 19-round magazine, but they also sell 15-round mags for it. I've emailed a few dealers and their initial response was "can't sell in NJ, 19 round mag..why don't you look at <x> instead?" Can't they just sell me the gun WITHOUT the 19rd mag and I'll get the 15rd mags for it?? Still trying to wrap my head around these ridiculous NJ laws...this was way easier in FL.
  15. :icon_e_surprised: :icon_e_surprised: Hey Sasha, it was great meeting you (and everyone else) last night. Was my first time there, and had a blast!
  16. I still have another 10 days before my appointment to get my prints done in Newark. Anyone have an idea of how long after that it will take the Bayonne PD to finish the process?
