I don't see states like Utah doing that either. What I can imagine is Bloomberg and Soros funded organizations filing lawsuits against states, claiming CCW laws are unconstitutional. If SCOTUS rules that "bear" does not mean carry outside of the home, those lawsuits will not only carry some serious weight, but it's likely any decisions against us would never get appealed all the way to SCOTUS. Our enemies have both limitless financial resources and the media on their side. If we get a bad SCOTUS ruling, it's all over. Not right away, but over time. -
Love mine. I got the youth model. I have to fight my 12 year old for it. :-)

Isn't there a training requirement? If so, I can't imagine many people taking the time and spending the money for certification knowing they will be rejected anyway.

"Take out the big cities" - the same could be said for PA, which is consistently a blue state in presidential elections. Problem with that is......you can't take out the big cities. :-) And I agree with what you're saying regarding grant and deny powers of the court. Our only hope there is if a) a case makes it to the Supreme Court; and b) they rule in our favor. We are one Supreme Court Justice death or retirement away from losing our already shaky 5/4 support. -

Yes, I'm aware. But NY and CA aren't NJ. And although NY and CA are "supposedly" anti gun, they each have a much larger percentage of gun owners than NJ, so they both have a gun culture that is absent here. You really know it's bad when we look to CA and NY for a ray of hope. -

I hope you're right. But with upwards of 90% of the population of NJ being non-gun owners, a hostile press, hostile courts, almost certainly a future hostile Governor, I think the future looks rather dim. I would LOVE to be proven wrong. Either way, I will keep writing and donating money. I hope to escape NJ someday, and if I do, I will still donate money to NJ2AS. They rock. -

None whatsoever. Our current environment is as good as it will ever be. I believe Christie will be replaced by a far more liberal Governor who will actively seek further firearms restrictions, and he/she will be successful in getting them. -

Possession of a firearm is prohibited in NJ unless you are exempted from the prohibition. I think we've got "infringed" pretty well covered from the get-go. -

Interesting, but really, the existence of FID's is unconstitutional way before we even talk about combining it with a driver's license. It is a permit to exercise a constitutionally protected right. NJ law states that everyone is prohibited from possessing a firearm unless you are exempted from the prohibition (by obtaining an FID). It's total insanity.
