I've decided to do my first AR build and I cannot get a clear answer, I'm sure I will get it here.. In NJ, does a muzzle break or compensater on a threaded barrel that is already 16" need to be pinned and welded to make it NJ legal? Or will pinning it alone make it legal? Thanks in advance

NPA? no adjustable cheek piece, it may of had one since i can only find them online with the cheek piece.

I was told by Chris, that with the setup the way it is he was able to be accurate at 800 yards with this. im gonna try it out the way it is first, since i dont have to spend extra $$. But i agree with you, the scope could come down a lot, looks like there is close to a 1" gap there

After doing some web surfing i came across the Remington 700 SPS varmint .308 W/26" barrel. I called Shore Shot and they said they could order it, but Chris who works there has one for sale with a few mods. He gave me a good deal on it, so i brought it! Up Grades: Knoxx Spec Ops Stock (A big problem people had with this rifle that it wasn't free floating, well with this stock it is) Harris Bi-Pod Bushnell Banner 6-18x50 Scope CAA heavy duty rings What you guys think about it for my first bolt action rifle(yes, i know it might be a bit much lol)??

I'm going to go to Range 14 this weekend to test it out. any advice on ammo type and ammo deal? hows Herter's .223 Remington Ammunition? its pretty cheap ammo.

I'm new to shooting and I usually shoot at shore shot (i usually shoot 200-250 rounds per visit), they don't allow aluminum casings there.. Any other ranges in the area that allow Aluminum casing ammo besides BA? Because at the end of the day i don't get a deal if i go to BA's range since it cost twice as much to use their range vs SS. I'm just trying to see if there is any way i can save $ by using this ammo. (by the way i use .40 S&W ammo) Thanks in advance for any help!

I shot about 400 rounds threw her already and she shoots straight, and the recoil isn't bad for a .40. You should definitely get one, its only $425 at shore shot!
