  1. Before we get carried away reality check - 'real SHTF' is not going to happen in the US. In case of Katrina type of event or downfall of economy the government will disarm you. Yes, you can arm yourself to the tooth in your house but once you step out its a different ball game. If the national guard comes knocking at your door forcing you to evacuate they will not let you bear arms. Downfall of economy during great depression you did not see people walking in arms. Just saying... To answer the question probably conceal carry G23.
  2. Great! I actually need one for my G23 G3 and I'll take you up on that offer. At least I just need to buy the Sig. I'll PM you.
  3. Anyone know if Sig sight pusher works with Glock or Glock sight pusher works with Sig? I have to adjust both at the range for perfect zero. Universal pushers (good ones) are a lot more expensive than gun specific.
  4. Any suggestions based from product use? I agree, I won't pay $500 for these but I hate to buy 3 -4 different products as a result of trial and error. Surefire and Remington are also contenders but Surefire is not electronic noise canceling.
  5. Anyone ever use Etymotic GSP (Gun Sport Pro) 15 High-Definition Electronic Earplugs? They look promising! The electronic earmuff really gets in the way when shooting rifle especially scoped ones http://www.etymotic.com/hp/gsp15.html Alternatively there is the EB15 High-Fidelity Electronic BlastPLG http://www.etymotic.com/hp/eb15.html
  6. have it shipped to FFL and get it pinned there. Otherwise you can be found guilty of "possession with the intent to build". At least that's what everyone has been telling me.

    Clay Target Holder?

That's it, rebar! I have no idea what its called. With Suresite, rebar, and clay holder I can use my imagination to make some good clay targets. I can tie the holder to the rebar and hang suresite to a clothes hanger. Even use wire frame shelves as baseboard. Thanks!
  8. Anyone can suggest or know of where to get clay target holders? I found this but its too low on the ground - http://www.amazon.com/Champion-Clay-Target-Holder-Pack/dp/B001SH1LTI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1316531912&sr=8-1 Maybe something made of metal like what they use for IDPA. I don't have the means or facility to make my own.
  9. Got it - chamber, 18 1/2" Cylinder Bore fixed choke and a non-ported barrel. I wanted to put a choke for skeet and trap but it looks like changing the barrel will be a better option.
  10. I got this response from Mossberg support "Thank you for your e-mail. Sir if you have a mavierk 88 with an accu barrel , The chokes for the 500 12ga will fit on your model as well as stocks, barrels, and inner parts". How can I tell if its an accu barrel? As far I as can tell its Cylinder Bore without treading or groves/notch on the lip. But I guess for defensive or tactical this is an ideal setup. Just don't do skeet.
  11. I ordered custom Oakley with VR28 Lens. Since I need high contrast to see the targets under flat to medium light. Make sure you get the tint for your POU. http://www.oakley.com/innovation/optical-superiority/lens-tints (under sport performance) http://www.oakley.com/custom#/sunglasses http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=oakley+shooting+glasses&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=8839750847266047968&sa=X&ei=pAdxTq6BIojW0QGn0KmxCg&ved=0CFoQ8gIwAQ
  12. Hey Rob, thanks for the pointers how to reload shotshells faster from a side saddle. That will help me too when I get a speed carrier.
  13. Wombat, this is the boot you are asking about - http://www.propetusa.com/product.aspx?pid=482 Not too combat looking but still does the job well. Ray-Ray, I was there, we met Some videos I took - http://gallery.me.com/lgalang#100153 Let me know if you want it taken down for privacy.
  14. True - he insisted on slicing the pie. Strict and almost by-the-book (allowed dropping of mags). During briefing they said its not necessary slicing b/c zombies do not shoot back. But whatever, I had fun and not concerned on points. Don't care about my score, just want trigger time. I still appreciate the efforts of the organizers and leads. At least I know more now than before. Just think of it as a drill Sargent; Discipline-discipline and in the end, its for your own good. Helps with muscle memory. This is all voluntary and I appreciate the efforts of all those who are responsible for running the match. Thank you thank you! Bottom line, I had fun and learned things.
  15. How do I join you guys? Can I?? I've have not met anyone from the forum yet to identify a member.
  16. Ah, makes sense - if you are shooting plenty then semi is the way to go. I personally don't mind the kick (I tried other full size pumps) but bought low recoil shells in case my wife need to shoot it. I just bought a Maverick 88. I guess its still going to be too much for her if she's shooting 20 shells.
  17. RayRay, thanks! I'll check if they are entertaining at all. Smokin .50, its only if the establishment is within reason to accommodate. I did not mean to be insensitive and would certainly not impose but needed a direction who to ask.
  18. Any recommendation of a gunsmith that can change Sig sights and ZERO same day AND open Mondays? Paterson Gunsmithing (which is my area) is closed Monday and does not allow wait jobs. I happen to be off tomorrow, otherwise it will be two weeks downtime for me (Sat drop off then Sat pickup). I don't mind driving 1 hour if it means I can have the gun same day.
  19. I have not fired mine yet. is the 00 low-recoil shots much noticeably tamer than regular 00?
