  1. Hey guys, I own a H&R pardner protector, love the gun. Wife doesn't. Length of pull is waaaaayyyyy to long for her. Since Rem 870 stocks fit, I was looking at getting an adjustable stock with pistol grip(she seems to like the pistol grip configuration as well). My concern is the grip, she has smaller hands and I'm concerned about thickness of grip. Looked at ATI talon, but looks very chunky in the grip department, the Knoxx looks kinda slender as does the Promag. Any suggestions??? Thnx....
  2. Been reading for awhile, finally got to the end and waiting for more updates.......
  3. Duly noted... will definitely be more prepared next time. Will also not let the Irish out either.... 8)
  4. It would be if it fit the question.... "HOW" not "WOULD". This was my issue, and maybe I read into it to much....
  5. Krd, sad thing is I already work for them. This was a promotional interview, and via the interviewer(who knows me from a hole in the ground), I have already been labeled a racist per conversations and past dealings with. Anyone who actually knows me, knows I will do anything for anyone to help them. I am a product of Irvington, was a white boy(blonde hair blue eyes) growing up in a DOMINANTLY black neighborhood, to say racism is something I'm not familiar with is a joke. I spent most of the days running home after school because of the color of my skin. So yes I AM racially apprehensive, but after initial meetings, I have more black/Hispanic friends, than I do white. I find more in common and have more to talk about.
  6. So I went for a job interview yesterday, and the first question(which was VERY poorly worded) asked how would someones race, religion, creed, or sexual preference effect your job performance in interacting with said person in a supervisory manner. So my question would be, if an employer cannot ask about your religious affiliation, sexual preference, etc... , how can they ask said question? After interview it was explained to me, that they were looking to see if I had any problems with being racially biased, and that saying I have no problems with any race, creed, religion was the answer they were looking for. The question as I heard it was, would someones color, race creed, effect their performance and how would you deal with it? I'm pretty sure this question killed me, and by no means I believe I'm a racist or advertise myself as one. But in the end, I did not provide the answer they were looking for....
  7. My daughter is 7, was thinking about picking up 795 anyway. Cant beat that with a stick for $100. Hopefully when she hits 10 i can start bringing her to Cherry Ridge.....
  8. Oh yeah.... and if anyone knows where the guy is that sells the rainbow and lollipop shooting guns, fill me in, my daughter would love one...... (that was some funny shiat right there)
  9. Thnx Bob, so now anyone that has specifics on how PA gun shows work, fill me in, plz. Do you do the NICS check at the door, or do I need to first find FFL dealer that will do the transfers at the show?? Also, looking for SKS, Mosin, maybe Dragonov(not sure of the legality of the last), any vendors I should seek out?? Thnx again... Mike
  10. WOW..... I did not mean for this to get so out of hand. I was hoping that there were some guys on here that have been to these shows and bought Nosiness or something and could give me some guidance. Like maybe they have a NICE check there so I can use it thru the whole show? I am not looking to buy illegally and hopefully with the knowledge presented here I can keep myself out of any potential jams..... Thnx again!!!!
  11. Hey all, sorry first off as I'm sure this has been covered, but I can't search the forum on my phone(mobile version have a hidden search I'm not aware of?). Looking to go to PA gun show in Allentown this year. What would I need if I want to buy SKS or some other long gun?? Have FID but do I need to bring my own CoE? What should I look for when buying military surplus as for legality?? Thnx Mike
  12. They beat the crap out of some kid with a skateboard. Open fire on a drunk in a car, shoot a student in handcuffs on a subway platform, taze a man perched on a ledge, but stand there and watch as a man tries to hack another mans head off with a pocket knife...... LoL
  13. Not trying to be overly competitive, just dont want to be a heal either..... I'm decent in the shooting, but not sure how well the gun and I will perform cutting a 2x4...
  14. Love my 17, not sure why the awe or shock, but just looking for a way to increase my capacity to 15the over the dismal 10 that you can buy.....
  15. Being the clip retainer is the same between 17 and 19, any feasible way of lengthening a 19 clip?? Would be an easier route as you can order them at any local gun shop, and wouldn't have to drive to PA.
  16. So I guess when this starts up again next year you'll be hearing?Mike H.... that would be me... Was up there with a friend that is a member. Fun time, liked the banter. All I have is a 9mm, any chance of being able to go with that? Or should I be looking for a 45?? Once again, had a great time...
  17. Looks easy.... will give this a try.....
  18. Thnx guys, thinking I'm gonna do this too.... but seriously drive to PA and work in your car??? LoL, that's a good one. I'll just work on them in his house... LoL. After they are modified to only hold 15 there is no trouble you can get into correct??? I was actually thinking of soldering two empty cases together, and figuring them to the bottom of the clip that pushes the ammo up. But if you looked in the sight holes it would look like 17 rounds....
  19. Hey, a friend of mine who is an officer has some Glock mags left from when he used to be issued a Glock as a side arm. They are the 17 round kind and hence illegal for me. Is there anyway to modify them to just accept 15 that is legal?? Someone posted that Mastodon does this, would I have to mail them, or just have him drive them up there with me?? Thnx for the help....
  20. As a mechanic/tech as you may, steps or no steps missed, does not negate the fact that's parts are heavy, positions you need to place yourself in to get at stuff are not required coherent to a long and healthy life. At 40 I am more knowledgeable than I was at 19 when I started, but I cannot lift or access things I could then. As for pay commensurate to knowledge /experience, don't do it. I am making a living, but there are other hands on positions that pay much more(brother in law is an HVAC tech, doubles what I make). Did I also mention the 80kfact in tools you have to purchase just to be effective?? There is a reason there is a shortage of mechanics, and it isn't because no one wants to do it..... Oh yeah, got to love them 6.0L Fords eh??
