I just read a thread that most competition shooters use the McMillan and Manners. I just need to get a stock on this one before I go nuts and blind from sitting in front of this laptop so much

So $800 (backorder) for an aics and it doesn't have to be bedded. How does the detachable stock box magazine work with the ADL? The other stock options would be the same price with the bedding..Hmmm. How much weight would the AICS stock add to my already heavy rifle?

Scrap, Shane, and Bullzeye, Thank you. I didnt know about the bedding part. I got an email from McMillan today, and quoted me a price of $488 plus shipping for an inleted finish of my choice hunting stock, pachmyer decelerator recoil pad, and 2 sling studs.

I was told not to register it by many Leo's, but I did. Some say I was stupid for whatever the reason, but I did just to have a clear head. If I was in that position again, I probably wouldnt have.

My grandfather left me a glock 36 in his will. All I did was use the register form and checked next of kin. No permit was used. When I went in for my permits months later, the pd asked me about it and just wanted to make sure it was next of kin. No problems at all. That was my only experience. Weird thing was, when I asked several state police about he handgun and my grandfather leaving it to me, they said I didnt have to register since NJ was a voluntary register state? Any input on that?

Straw purschase? He has a FID. Its my brother. No crime was being committed. I was gonna shoot the .22, put a nice scope on it, and Merry Christmas. He was not going to obtain this firearm without a legal transfer, nor was it going to ever be in his possession without a legal transfer.

He hasnt contacted me. All I needed was a phone call or text saying "I cant make it", "Ive decided not to sell it", "Im sick", "My car broke down", "My BOYfriend and I are fighting", or anything so I could get my 4 year old home at a decent hour and not wait in a parking lot from 840-1020pm. So that is more than an hour and 20 minutes. Guess its my fault for asking them to take the ride with me, and actually thing someone would be that late. Thank god I wasnt alone and waiting, then I woulda been pissed. And that is my story, its true, and I am sticking with it. I hate tattletales, but in the case, maybe I can save some of the members the time and aggravation that my family went through on a Tuesday night. At least I still have my $350.

Agreed to sell his S&W AR 22 rifle for $350.Was buying it for my brother, then transfer to him. We were supposed to meet at 9pm tonite. At 840pm, he texted that he was running late and he was sorry. Long story short, he never showed up. I left a vm, no return call. Not a text from him after 840pm Like idiots, we waited an hour and 20 minutes for this guy to show up. Why the hell would someone do that? I was with my pregnant wife and son waiting at a rest area over an hour away from my house. This was when he was last on the forum. At first we thought something happened bad, but then he was active at 1041 pm tonite. Just stupid..I looked over all the pm's and texts again, and never did he say sorry Joe, I cant meet, or sorry, dont wanna sell the rifle. Im not mad, but my wife is pissed! The bottom was his last activity time, it is now 1136 pm. Last Active Today, 10:41 PM

I have decided I do not like my stock on the remington 700 ADL.It is the camo one from dsg. It has a 26" barrel, so its not light. I need a different stock, budget about $300. Any recommendations? I like the lightweights, but I do not think it is wise to use with such a heavy barrel. I have been looking at Choate, Bell Carlson, and H-S(used). Gonna use for hunting and target. Try to keep a tac look.

If it definitely flush to slight underflush. I am not messing with drilling it, LOL. I do not want to mess anything else up. First time and the last. Still cant believe I didnt notice the different size screws! I am bringing it to Tips Hardware tonite, they said it will be done in 2 days. Wonder how much this stupid mistake is gonna cost?

I just got off the phone with Leupold tech. He said the screws in the front are shorter, SOB! This happens all the time. Next time I better double check to make sure all the screws are the same length. I checked my other set i ordered, and yep, 2 screws are long, 2 are a little shorter, god damn it! They are sending me out 4 new torx screws, but I still have to find a gunsmith in my area to get it out and maybe retap it. Will try Tips.

Tried to put a set of Leupold QR 2 piece mounts on my Remington 700.. Well one of the torx screws snapped. The front mount was loose after tightening. So I tightened a little more, and it snapped. Inow realize that the screw was hitting the bolt action. Guess the torx screw was too long. The screw snapped off flush with the receiver, so now I need to get this screw out. The bolt wont action now either cuz of the screw is holding it in place. I learned something today... Anyway, where can I bring it to get the screw out and have the mounts put on? I am in Barnegat, NJ.
