Fort Lee, Bergen county I started the paperwork for 2 handgun permits in early May, paid the $20 online on 05/05/14 then my first reference never received her paperwork, so i had to use a second one who sent it back immediately (from rockland county NY) it took them 3 weeks to receive it by this time its mid august so now it is almost October and I'm being told the same thing i was told 4 weeks ago. "its the next one on the detective's desk" needless to say I'm a bit annoyed that they're dragging their feet UPDATE: received my permits on 14 nov total wait time ~6 months -
thats tempting, but I want to learn a little more about what to look for in a good ak before i buy
-
ive been looking at a few american made ones, but if i get a century arms, how much would it cost to replace the hammer springs if necessary? and what makes the wasrs low quality? Hell I even thought about building an ak style just for shits and giggles, it sounds like a fun project

I'm really interested in getting an ak style rifle, i dont want to spent a ton, but i want something that will work, ive been looking at some of the rifles K-var offers (nj complaint 7.62x39) but they seem pretty expensive. after reading around this forum a bit i like the idea of getting a regular rifle and having it converted here. so what should i be looking at? and are there any places in north-central jersey that sell any? How much should this all cost?

i had the exact same problem, (rental g19 gen 4) it was frustrating at first but then i saw that my right middle finger was just barely hitting the mag release causing the mag to drop just about two inches after each shot. I just modified my grip and kept shooting, didn't have anymore problems after that. I thought the problem was my grip/fat hands but a worn down rental makes more sense

im going to call tomorrow and ask if i can hand deliver it and then if that doesn't work ill ask to speak to a supervisor and see where that gets me

i put in the paper work for 2 handgun permits in early June, when i checked up on them earlier this week they told me that they never heard back from one of my references, (my neighbor, she never received anything in the mail). I was there on Monday and asked if they could send it again, its now Thursday and she still hasn't received anything. I was told that if everything gets sorted out that i might have the permits by mid sept - early oct this seems like a VERY unreasonable amount of time and i'm not sure what i can do. It seems like they are purposely dragging their feet and loosing documents
-
not to jack this thread or anything but, its been about a month since i paid the $20 fee and i still have not heard back anything at all.......?

a few weeks ago I was back home in Bergen county and i drove past sports authority in Paramus. While browsing I wanted to checkout what kind of ammo they had (its usually over priced shit, but its convenient) Their "outdoor" section was gutted and covered in tarps, after asking an employee, they said all sports authorities in the area stopped selling guns and ammunition great......one less place i can buy stuff from -_____-
-
ok thanks, i went in today and they instructed me to do it all online, but didn't let me know how long the process is
-
I just applied for one, and i did it online and the back ground check cost me $20? does that sound right? I thought they were only $5 per permit?
-
yeah, I'm gonna have to agree with him i remember a lot of their products breaking on paintball guns

I'm looking for a double rifle bag, it has to hold an ar and an 870. The cabelas tactical case looks good, but I'm not sure if it's made to hold two rifles. any suggestions?

i got a brand new m&p15 sport about a week ago and had the opportunity to shoot it today after about 3-5 rounds, the bolt stopped cycling. I was shooting independence 55 grain 5.56, after the first failure to cycle i changed to m855 and a pmag but no dice i noticed that the hand guard was a little loose, then noticed that part of the gas tube was exposed (much more than normal) in the pictures you can see the wear marks on the barrel where the fsb moved i already sent an email to s&w about it UPDATE: I received the rifle about a week ago and put about 200 rounds through it this past weekend with no issues at all next order of business is to put a new stock on this thing
