  1. I haven't been there in a while but since day 1, I always felt there ammo prices were pretty good when you compared them to other local merchants. Which was probably why I was so surprised when I saw there pistol prices.
  2. Been there a few times, real nice store with a pretty extensive inventory. But have to agree with HavocMan there prices are off the charts. Unless you have to have it today, i'll save some money and buy it at another shop.
  3. That's my point as well. Maybe it's just me but I find it surprising that that many people are fine with that price. It's not that can't afford a $300 - $500 a year membership I just can't justify it to myself. I would never go enough. I realize not everyone has the same schedule or pocketbook but I don't think people realize how often you need to go to make it worth it. Just my opinion obviously enough people think different. Good luck with the new facility maybe ill try it out one day.
  4. Did you ask if anyone could order one? I think your gonna have a hard time finding the .22 version sitting in a showcase.
  5. Did you try Ramsey Outdoor in Ramsey? I got mine their about a year ago. Ron ordered me one got it in about a week. Not sure how long it would be now but if you decide to ask for Ron he's a great gut to deal with.
  6. I have it in the .40 Cal and the trigger is the v3 with a safety. My buddy bought the same one in the 9mm. We both agree that nothing compares to the H&K P30. Just wish they made more models in other cal.
  7. Why open Pandora's Box, say nothing! In this state you never know what type of cop your gonna get. Your be surprised how uneducated most cops are about civilians & firearms.
  8. I think the whole reason for the forum is to share each others personal experiences with an establishment, good or bad. The fact is most people don't post or write a letter about good experiences usually just the bad ones. The fact is since they've opened people have complained about their attitudes. If 10 people posted bad experiences with what would it matter if each post went into detail about how the owner did or did not rectify the situation. After that many people complain about the same thing I don't care what the owner did because obviously the problem still exist so I would choose another establishment to shop. Most problems with staff attitudes come from the top down. If their still having the same problems 16 months later than either that's the normal attitude of the management or they seriously lack customer training.
  9. The range in Woodland Park is quite a bit more than RTSP. I'm sure it will take some of their business just not sure how much
  10. I was only there once and got an attitude from the girl behind the counter when I asked to see one of the pistols. She acted as if I just asked her to change a tire on my car. After looking at it I gave it back to her and before I could ask her a question she walked away! They seen to be no different from most gun shops in NJ. They seem to think that their doing you a favor by letting you buy something from them!
  11. It definitely should be private for the price. I think more people would consider memberships if it was private.
  12. I didn't take a tour so I can't say first hand but the range doesn't look much different to RTSP. Based on the photos I've seen, I don't think it's that much nicer. The gold membership seem on the pricey side especially when you still have to pay a hourly rate. Getting pushed up in the que is a nice feature but not sure it justifies the membership fees.
  13. I agree! If I'm going to pay that much money for a range membership it better be in a nicer area and most of all a private range not one open to the public. I'm sure it cost a small fortune to open up a new indoor range but you can't expect to make most of your money back the first year. As far as the other 2 stripped down memberships, the amount of times you need to frequent the range to break even is way over the amount of times I could go but that's me. If it works for you great but in my estimation I couldn't justify it.
  14. Yea ok, put the crack pipe down! Last time I checked the zip code was Woodland Park not Alpine. Are you sure this isn't a late April Fools Day prank? $500 a year and I still pay $10 per hour! For $2500 a year it would be cheaper to become a member of a indoor/outdoor range in southern Jersey or PA and have a car service drive me their and back 3 times a month and still have $700 left over to purchase another gun.
  15. How much and what do you get for being a member?
  16. I agree, their probably going to follow RTSP's prices. I hope they follow some of these blogs cause it seems like alot of people are complaing of RTSP's prices. Unless your going to go to the range a couple times a month, you can't justify the price. Just my opinion!
  17. I can't believe that RTSP has as many members as they do. Sure the range is really nice but their prices are insane. Everyone complains about the ammo prices but I think their membership rates are overpriced as well. Unlesss you get to go to the range a couple times a month its cheaper to pay as you go. I hope that Luciano's keeps their membership prices reasonable but I have the feeling they are going to be in line with RTSP but hopefully I am wrong.
  18. Paramus store is the worst. The Ramsey store is much better but still overpriced on its ammo. I think a box of 9mm American Eagle is up to $16.99 per box. Typical over priced NJ.
  19. Someone posted that they heard the membership was going to be $400 for the range. Hope this is not the case. RTSP is $350 and I think thats overpriced so $400 is insane. Hopefully that was just hear say. Guess we will find out once the range is built,
  20. I hope the $400 membership cost is inaccurate. That's crazy for an indoor course. Unless your going a few time a week, I don't think it's worth more than $250 for a membership. I wouldn't mind even paying a small yearly registration fee and still paying when you use the range. This way you can track everyone who uses the range and keep out the rif-raf. Last time I was in, the owner told me 16 ports. I guess its all hear say until it is built.
  21. How much paper work do you need to fill out? Never heard of having to fill out paper work unless you were applying for a membership. I went there a few weeks back for the first time but there was at least an hour wait and being I wasn’t a member, that hour could easily turn to two. It's a really nice range but I personally feel it's over priced, especially for a membership + the rifle charge. With those prices you would think they were in the heart of Bergen County or Manhattan. But I guess not everyone feels that way since it was pretty busy when I went. I am hoping Luciano's range when it opens is a little more down to earth with their membership prices.
  22. I am a little suprised with the service or lack of service you received but then again I am not. I've purchased a few guns their and never really had a problem but I also learned who to look for. Ron is the best and Fabio is real good to. There is 1 or 2 of the other guys that are slightly on the arrogant side but usually they are pretty good their but if their busy, you have to let them know you want help since they seem to get alot of window shoppers. As far as them being very pricey, I dont see that at all. The last Sig I bought, they were $120.00 cheaper than Meltzers. My friend and I always had great dealings with Ron or Fabio so maybe give them another chance before you cut them loose. Good luck
  23. Made my first trip to RTSP today. What a really nice range. Clean, spacious and fairly freindly staff. But who came up with their Ammo Prices, has anyone ever actually bought a box of ammo at those prices? The last time I paid that much for a box of 40 cal, they through in the gun for free. Besides that, nice place to shoot.
