  1. Wherever you end up diving, make sure you have a float and a flag. I dove the inlet with a group of people within the acceptable time frames at the time and the fishermen all try to cast their lines on you and snag your gear. Plus, based on the tide, you can get pulled out quickly. Enjoy the weekend, I need to get back in the water. Last year got scrubbed as my dive buddy (wife) was pregnant with our first and there's not enough research on diving while pregnant for us to chance it.
  2. +1 for Heavyopp. I bought one of his tumblers and haven't looked back. Well built, easy to use, and I can do a ton of brass at a time, the best part is no lead dust in the air for my family to breath in.
  3. Thank you all for coming out to the Trauma class last night. It was great to be able to put faces to names. I'm sure our paths will cross again at a class, or on the range. Nice meeting you all.
  4. Class is on for tonight. For those of you from the forum that will be there, I'm looking forward to meeting you. The most common complaint seems to be the GPS coordinates. The entrance for the facility is on Clawsen St, even though the physical address is Baekeland Avenue. The Baekeland Ave side of the facility is blocked with shipping containers for storage and training props. So the intersection of Baekeland Avenue and Clawsen St is the physical location for you to turn at. See everyone tonight.
  5. Thank you for that review. RedRiverII-Thank you for that incredibly generous offer. The next open enrollment class will be: Monday July 21st 1900-2300 hours Piscataway Fire School (Due to difficulties with locating this facility use Field Rd. and Clawsen St as your landmarks) Registration will be handled on our website, www.alphaomegatrainingsolutions.com under Course Registration. Look forward to seeing some of you there.
  6. Nice meeting you all today. Thanks for attending and I'm glad that we were able to share knowledge and develop a comfort level with some medical equipment. If you'd like to share your thoughts on the program for the rest of the members, feel free to write up an AAR.
  7. Thanks. I ordered the pouch that I wanted, we'll see how long it takes to get here. Then I can do a brief review on it once it's loaded up and I get to work on it a bit.
  8. I have a few spots left for Saturday's class if anyone is interested in attending. We are doing the class either way as it hit the minimum enrollment, but extra students contribute to a better sharing of knowledge.
  9. I wish they were in stock, I would pull the trigger on it and if I really hate it, so be it. It's not going to see a hard life so I can't see spending $100 on a pouch to hold supplies. I love the D.A.R.K angel design but once again, it's pushing $100 for the pouch itself. I looked at TT, but the pouch that they have it way too big and also quite expensive.
  10. In the trauma course, we discussed a personal on belt kit and a secondary larger kit for traumatic injuries. I have been searching for a decent, not super expensive on belt Primary kit. Does anyone have experience with Grey Ghost Gear? Specifically the Slim Medic Pouch? It seems a bit wide, but I like the design of it, the clamshell, and the recommended load out is sufficient for what I would want on belt for immediate reach. They are currently out of stock or else I would just order one and test it out. This won't be going overseas, it would mostly just ride on my belt for training and range trips. This is the pouch that I'm referring to: http://www.greyghostgear.com/pouches/medic-pouches/slim-medical-pouch
  11. Thank you all for coming last night. I had a lot of fun, it was a great class and we had a lot of good information exchange. I read the reviews, I had discussions with a few of you, and I'm going to take all of your suggestions and see what we can do about a fully hands on, scenario driven course now that you have the knowledge base and familiarity with the materials. Thank you all again for allowing us to teach you.
  12. World Class Auto Body on Handy St in New Brunswick, I asked around at work and everyone seems to think that they are the best. I'm looking for a shop currently but have no direct experience with them.
  13. He likely would have suffered a terrible "accident" while driving his vehicle, or a sudden unexplained food allergy to something so severe that he wasn't able to be saved.
  14. Blake, We can do it. Someone's bound to not show up, and worst case scenarios, myself and the other instructor will play victims for the hands on portion. Make sure you register her on the website please.
  15. We're a week out of the first course, and ready to rock and roll. If you haven't already done so, please visit the website: www.alphaomegatrainingsolutions.com and register online. I am using your information to set up the certificates and don't want to address them to your screen name. If you have held multiple spots for people, you can either register them all or they can register themselves as long as I have their information. Those of you registered for the 5th, see you in a week. Any questions, my email is on the website or PM's work.
  16. Got an opening in the June 5 class. If you are interested, either PM me, or post here. There's still openings in the June 21 class, mornings or afternoons.
  17. As Alec said, no fees/hour. 3 Guests at a time, no more than 3 times before a "guest" is asked to become a member. The work hours can be anything from administrative when they need help sending out membership cards, to cutting the grass at the outdoor range, running the lead vacuum indoors, building benches/target stands etc. In the last year or so, there has been a lot more hours offered up for members to meet their requirements.
  18. Yes. Shoot me a PM and we can discuss it.

  20. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQRckiC2F54 It's long but detailed.
  21. With any new course, you're always worried about not being able to fill it. I'm sure there's more members that want to take it, but these two dates didn't work. If someone wants to step up and suggest three weekend dates, I'll check with my other instructor and we can probably make it happen.
  22. I'll second YouTube. Be careful with the plunger in the grip, it tends to bend the hammer strut if you don't put it back together perfectly. I have the same gun and it is a pain in the @$$ to get back together again.
  23. Got it updated. 2 1 more spot in the Friday class. Friday's class is full. If we need to do a weekend course (Saturday or Sunday) we can do that as well.
  24. Second Course Offering: Friday 6/27/2014 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM Location: Piscataway Fire School, 171 Baekeland Avenue, Piscataway, NJ. GPS/Google Maps to Field Avenue, Piscataway, NJ 08854 (Field Avenue runs right through the academy property) If you are interested, please specify which course you are requesting 1. fishnut 2. ataimwolswol 3. fishnut 4. fishnut 5. fishnut 6. david 7. theron 8.
