  1. I just told you... I depicted the whole transaction and what I had to go through. No bs... it's what happened. Not my fault... whether someone screwed up, I dunno... Final word came from the Trenton State Police.
  2. Oh, it's true... and that's what I was going to do.. In the spot where the reseller is suppose to go on a permit, I recall it said a licensed ffl dealer or similar. Why would any of this sound strange guys... It came right from Trenton... It's what I had to do without permits it worked. They were all content. Just saying.... Anyone happen to have a current permit they can take a photo of and blank out their personal stuff? I apologize... not trying to hijack the thread.
  3. Not taking anything personal. I can care less if someone likes the look of my weapons. What works for one and not another is always what matters. I will reiterate once and end this tirade. "It's about the presentation".... that's it! You condescend me, thrash me, dump on my crap, I'm done listening... There is a difference between constructive criticism and downright beating down someone or something. The sg round thing is considerably a reasonable critique, but to each their own with their choice of weapons for whatever reason. You have a few people on this forum that insist on being the leading authority on everything. I have a problem with that. We can converse civily... that's all I'd expect. So like was said above.. Let's get back on track. Let's see more photos... No more arguing and pissing in each others ears....
  4. I agree with everything except the pistol purchase I think. Ok: Scenario... When my boy transferred to Okinawa, he couldn't take his handguns. I told him I'd buy them from him to help him out with much needed funds. My Detective told me to apply for the 2 permits. Went through the whole rigamarole... (sp?) Mind you I have't done a private pistol purchase in years. Started filling out the permits and low and behold... NO place to enter a private seller anymore like years ago. Now what.... Detective was clueless. So in a panic, he was shipping out the next day... I called Trenton... They said the permit system is total fubar and when they revised the permits, they caused mass confusion with the state. They told me there really isn't a way to use the permits like that anymore. They hate the new permits down there and supposedly getting revised again. Ok, so now what... Simple she said. Download the transfer form, fill it out completely and mail out the copies like normal. They would take all the guns and enter them under my FID... That was it. Would have cost me nothing more than a few stamps. I had to void the permits and lost all the fees. Told that to the detective and he basically said holy crap. So correct me I'm wrong but is there any other way without going through a dealer even in that scenario or should he just check with Trenton? Have they changed the process recently or? I realize he still has to get the initial FID... My wife just got hers a few years ago... Took about 2 months... Sent from John's iPad 2 via Tapatalk HD
  5. ...and I appreciate that. But you guys left a bad taste in my mouth since day one here. You tend to condescend and treat everyone like newbies. If you brushed up on your presentation, you'd be better off. Not everyone is new here... Trying to expand on opinions and start what my initial attempt was just normal conversation, was met with aggressive 'tudes. I showed nobody disrespect, but was told I had to earn it. Sorry young man, but you start out with 100% respect for everyone. Anything less than that is like spitting on everyone as you walk down the street. It will either maintain its integrity or wither away. Quite frankly, I always respect people older than me and show younger the same as long as they are respectful. My boy is 36 and a Staff Sgt in the Marines.. We've had countless hours of weapon conversation with an argument not even once. We discussed, weighed differences and came to a resolve. We both learned from each other and not once any animosity. But having a 20 some year old cram things down my throat simply won't work whether you are right or wrong. You remind me of a priest I met long ago. Great guy, but insisted on cramming his beliefs down peoples throats. You won't get far with many people like that. I yes'ed him to death then walked away. Some of yaz here are like that. You insist on being persistent that you are always right. Not so.... But you also need to let people be. Speak your peace and drop it. The receiver will either heed it or not. So remember who you are talking to. You don't know me nor do I know you. You have no idea what I know or don't know. All I can say is I have experience in lots of areas. Do you need to believe me? Perhaps not... But I don't know your background either. Rocking out a shotgun does not an expert make. So, like I pm'ed Ray.... Let's start over and try to be cordial to each other. I'm getting to old for this crap. I came here to relax and maybe learn. But it's my choice. As long as I'm not handing any false info, I'm good. Soooo... Hi vjf915 and ray, nice to meet you.... I hope. Sent from John's iPad 2 via Tapatalk HD
  6. Ooooook.... Wasn't referring to your pm.... Sent from John's iPad 2 via Tapatalk HD
  7. That won't be anytime soon I'm afraid. Its just one of those, just in case moments. She rather use a handgun... Appreciate the offer though... Next year I may re-up at Cherry Ridge... Money has been tight the last couple years and time as well. Next year, things will be much better... So we shall see. Sent from John's iPad 2 via Tapatalk HD

  9. Never said you didn't and so do I... But your opinions are just that. But it's the way you approach people about it. Sent from John's iPad 2 via Tapatalk HD
  10. No, just handguns... But she has problems with her wrists and hands. Sometimes bad carpel tunnel along with arthritis... So I try to always accommodate her any way I can, if I can... I don't see why the laser bothers anyone. The way it's set up, it's effortless and without sighting sown the barrel at little more than close range, she is good to go. In any event... Everyone has reasons of whys and why nots. I just don't think people should be beat up for things they are satisfied with. As you said, you're 4'11... So there are many shapes and sizes. Something that works for one, may not for another. I respect everyone's opinion here as long as it's within reason and within the law. Anything less than that is not worth it. Thanks irishpeteswife... I appreciate your approach to these responses. Sent from John's iPad 2 via Tapatalk HD
  11. Yea, did a double take on that one... Sent from John's iPad 2 via Tapatalk HD
  12. No doubt... mine too. I hate when it gets that warm. I want a pool for cooling, not a hot tub...
  13. You characters take some things too serious.... It doesn't matter.... They are all back in lockup. None of my rifles nor shotguns come out except for riots, the range, cleaning and modding. My handguns are readily available and will always be my first line of defense. For the life of me, you guys are way over opinionated on certain things.... just drop it already... God forbid things don't go your way in converations, you beat the hell out of people. Enuff said.
  14. I swear, I thought the one kid was going to look down the barrel to find out why the second round didn't fire. Yeesh...
  15. <shrug> I dunno... how about a loud speaker system. Something that screams or growls when you pull the trigger. Or an mp3 player that plays the Ride of the Valkeries soundtrack... LMAO.
  16. I'm sure they are a tad eccentric, but it's all about exposure and advertising. Can't take stuff like that seriously... It's just one of those, "don't try this at home" scenarios...
  17. I just think its amusing and funny as hell...
  18. Some of the extras I had laying around. So I gathered them all to see what could work. Had nothing else to use them on. The laser is no effort at all because all you need is to hold the verticle grip with a slightly little more pressure. Anyway, I didn't go out of my way to buy any of this except for the light and handguard. I had everything else just laying around from other projects that never became. As for the bean bags... I also had them laying around from years ago when we didn't want/need to kill someone... The overall weight has not changed much believe it or not. I didn't bother weighing the before and after deal. But I can't feel any difference in weight. A handgun IS my primary weapon even in home defense. Always will be. Then there is always the scare factor look and the racking of a round that hopefully will make the agressor think twice. If it needs to go that far. IMHO. I don't live in an area where we ever have to worry about home invasion... But it doesn't hurt to be prepared.
  19. 99.9 deg here... Nothing the a/c or a dip in the pool can't handle... Sent from John's iPad 2 via Tapatalk HD
  20. I agree... He wasn't a fan of separate gas blocks because he didn't like the possibility that any set screws could work their way loose. I haven't done any snooping to see if there are any that you can pin after market.... Only seen the set screw type. Also, some say not all flat top sights and scopes make it over the front sites... I'm sure there is always a remedy... Sent from John's iPad 2 via Tapatalk HD
  21. Hehe, at that degree, might as well go a few extra pounds and carry a mini gun Arnold style. Sent from John's iPad 2 via Tapatalk HD
  22. I'm not saying I'd do that, but did you watch the whole video...? You'd understand his reasoning. It's about 30 minutes but I was curious to watch it through. I cringed when watching it, but turned out well for what his intents where. Sent from John's iPad 2 via Tapatalk HD

  24. Found this video while surfing. Thought it could be interesting and a little enlightning. I said ouch, but watch it all the way through. Not bad, just scarey...
