Not to hijack a thread by why are attorneys used in North Jersey? Never really heard of anyone using them down here and I didn't use one for my house. Just curious?

because the one time I didn't clean my 22 after firing a couple hundred down range. Went back the next day to let a friend shoot it and started having problems. Took it apart and cleaned it and problems went away. Also some people I know had similar experiences with different guns and cleaning helped so I try keep my guns clean. Common courtesy would have been the tree company knocking on your door saying " we have to drop a tree from your neighbors property and it will probably wind up on your lawn. Is that okay?" Then they either drop the tree in your yard with your permission or accidently drop it in your yard and ask forgiveness. I would have been more inclined to say something to the neighbor and not the tree guy.

Field stripped and cleaned after every trip to the range and once in a while if it's been a while (a month or few weeks) I use the Rem Oil Wipes and just do a quick wipe down. I personally believe a dirty gun is gonna give you problems at the most inconvenient time.

I've seen some floating around on consignment at Bob's Little Sports Shop a few weeks back. If not just look on gunbroker.com or request a price from the vendors.

I believe you should have a sense of what you want but to say don't take forever.... that's a little unfair. I'm sure most work very hard for our money. To spend anywhere from $300 to a $1000 + I should be able to take the time, hold a few guns, ask a questions/opinions and not feel like i'm annoying the salesmen. I went there with a guy I work with who makes more then I do and one of the guys told him that "that gun is probably out of your price range". I don't know why but a few places in NJ feel like they can treat you like crap and you have to spend your money there if you want something. Well I'll continue to give my business to the vendors like Arms and Ammo, Bob's Little Sports Shop, and Ed's where you get treated with respect. I'm glad they treat you with respect but majority of us seem to have a different story. I'm not hating on you by any means so please don't take it that way.

it's amazing the things I hear about this store. Anyone in the gun community I talk to pretty much had the same experience I've had at the gun counter. The rest of the store isn't bad as far as selection but CMO's guns and ammo...... overpriced and extremely rude behind the counter whether they are directly dealing with you or indirectly by ignoring you.

I just cant believe they make you put it in a lock box for it to be carried to the register. The Deptford Dicks... They check your firearms ID card regardless but the guy at the counter is cool. You can take a basket like you would use at a grocery store and walk freely after you are logged. Stopped in there Friday to pick up 10 boxes of the Federal Truball 12 ga and literally was handed them and told to have a good day. Guess that's the difference between the North and South Jersey stores

It's funny that you say that. If any state tried to secede from the rest of the United States I'm sure the federal government would step in with the national guard and anyone else and call us home grown terrorist. If it's another country outside the USA doing it, it's civil unrest and the USA will step in and help them overthrow their government..... Weird how the same thing is completely different.

I'm looking forward to the day that my daughter (now almost 2) can shoot a gun with me after school and go tell all over her friends the next day at school how cool it was. And the second a teacher, principal or administrator says anything negative about it I'm going to raise hell.
