  1. Lol well they love my house! Thankfully you said no harmful to humans because I tend to just pick them up and move them to my woods. I own a ball python so when I see these little guys I wasn't nervous.
  2. Any input? Looks a good size in this pic but it is actually small and baby.
  3. https://i.imgur.com/97hRLM7.jpg There's pic looking under step aiming up. That board you see on the cinderblocks, water was coming under that, down the wall.
  4. I'll get the interior pic tomorrow with better light, just the flash on my phone sucks. Those leaves have blown over from the acre of woods behind me that I own. Old owners would just blow all the leaves there, I have mountains of leaves I need to get rid of while I keep cutting trees down.
  5. Hard to get clear pic from understairs on the inside so I'll have to get that tomorrow. But here is a pic of the poor grade outside by bilco doors. https://i.imgur.com/uJOwZ3N.jpg let me know if that works. Never used imgur so not sure if I'm doing it right. I have a sumo pump on opposite side, and is actually not bad.
  6. Pic of inside or outside, or hell both?
  7. Lol yea fixed gutter drains, forgot about posting that. Now that I think of it, I believe that thread referred to the leak, crap my memory lately.. The doors do have a slight leak around where it meets the concrete, I temporary have a tarp hanging over doors to prevent that. I will need to seal it though, any good sealant to use for that? I believe it's seeping through the cinder block wall under where doors are. Now exactly where I don't know, could be under dirt.
  8. So I have a leak that is coming from under my steps leaving out my basement to my back yard via bilco doors. I figured it was because of the really bad grade level outfront of it (slopes towards concrete the doors sit on). To confirm I yanked up a step board and I can see the water coming down from the all the way up top, I saw only to where the wood is mounting to it, so could be under that. I was going get dirt, as well as river rock (what is around the rest of backyard against house) and fill it infront of the concrete and have it slope away. But I then thought if getting concrete pour and have it slope away would be better? I wouldn't do a big pad infront of it, maybe 2-3 feet? What are your guys thoughts?
  9. Weber vote, I'm going be getting a charcoal Weber real soon, then in future I'll get a natural gas one as well so I have 2 :).
  10. Sorry for your loss, always hard. That first picture of Chessie in the water is great.
  11. Thanks guys! mikeyjones: will spray damage clothes? Honestly don't care cause I can make a "outdoor clean up woods" outfit if it does, just curious.
  12. Since I have a acre of woods and been slowly clearing some of it, this gets me nervous. What's a good spray I should use to make these suckers stay away from me?
  13. Malice4you- didn't think about that. I own a dewalt drill so I'll check out there unit as well while I'm out.
  14. I was just checking out online the expand it line and look interested in that, shall be stopping by tomorrow to get a feel for it and see if it walks out the door with me.
  15. I own a acre of land but that is mostly woods. Even when I decide to chop down some trees to have more flat land it won't be the whole acre I'll be doing. I would say a hour charge time would probably be perfectly fine for what I need. I've used my dads gas before and my moms plug in electric and didn't mind either, that's why I'm lost on what to get. I do like the 0 maintenance aspect of electric, but also power output of gas. But as long as the electric can do a good edge and weedwack I'm fine! I'll check out the Ryobi tomorrow!
  16. So what do you use or prefer? In market for one and not sure which route to go. Will most likely buy at either HD or Lowes.
  17. I don't have a garden yet till I cut trees down but I have some pepper plants and tomateo plants in pots to grow. All look great right now minus my one tomateo plant which the leafs are starting to curl and some getting yellow at bottom. No clue what is up with that. I believe I used a miracle grow for vegetables specifically for pot planting (jokes aside lol)

One more question. By my billocal doors, since water was being drain right there it has made it a low spot I want to grade it back up to go away from that. I have river rock surrounding it currently. I was suggested by someone to remove river rock, and get pea gravel and fill the area, then put the river rock back on. Guys agree with this?

Heaviest thing that will be on top of it would be me and a lawn mower. No cars or anything will go there. Now to find the sewer grade pipe cause that Home Depot only had sewer grade fittings.

    Drainage

I'll be honest I haven't yet, got busy with work and then freezer just died on us. Question, went to homedepot to price everything out. They had PVC: 4"x10' pvc40-dwv-pe for $24.28. Is this the kind I want to use? Because when looking at T connections and everything they had the kind as in that pipe, then they had the sewer grade which was thinner and cheaper in cost. The sewer grade connections were D3034 PVC.

    Drainage

I think I'll go with 3" pipe to be the safest. Going have to figure where my septic lines goes because it is diagonal where I will have to run a line, will that be a issue if I have a pipe under another? Plan is: do width of my shed and about 5-6' out full of rock. How deep do you think I should go of rock? I will obviously put landscape fabric down first then fill with rock. Hoping to have enough rock to have that drain area be dry after water is dumped.

    Drainage

Ok I will skip the dry well idea because I do have clay. Trying to debate how far I want to run the pipe, I was thinking about just going 15-20' from house maybe and dumping it behind my shed. I'll dig a lot of the dirt out behind shed and fill a good area with rocks and have it drain onto that. Does that sound smart/good? Also dumb question, when you say you want output to see light I am assuming you mean the pipe output should be out from under ground at the drain spot? I'm drawing a brain fart but will check when I get home but for some reason I feel the output wouldn't be out unless I dig a good size hole behind shed, BUT I could be wrong on that thought. I'll clarify when I get home today.

What are your guys thoughts on having the pipe drain into one of those water leaching tub in the ground? I've been going back and forth on that, or just dumping it out in my woods.

    Drainage

Tried snaking the drain, got same results as the hose, does 4' then dead stop. Which makes me think either collapsed pipe or the landscapers just had to pipe go out to the grass and then capped it. Looks like I will be having a fun filled event of digging a new trench and laying proper pipe (jokes aside lol) down. How deep should the pipe be in ground?

Think I determined that pipe, it's the pvc going to septic lol
