Finnish M39 Mosins and Bulgarian Makarov Pistols in stock
Carcano replied to Carcano's topic in C&R Military Surplus
Usually calling Classic will result in exchanging the rifle, store credit or a refund. I know of people who purchased from Classic (think: surplus Beretta pistols they recently offered) and ended up with turds but after complaining Classic made it right. The Bulgarian Maks are a steal, local shops I've called are asking 350-380 for them. -

New import of Yugo SKS's $429 ea, $399 ea in crate of 10
Carcano replied to DirtyDigz's topic in C&R Military Surplus
I say you got yourself one hell of a deal, looks to be in excellent condition.. Very nice Yugo. Remember, SKS's are like Ak's and Mosins you can't stop with just one -
No amount of restrictions would have prevented this, people have walked into gun stores and brought a round with them, chambered it and pulled the trigger in front of everyone. Even if they had someone watching this guy he still could have killed himself. I have no kind words for the man, what he did could have easily traumatized bystanders. Want to kill yourself? go off into the woods and pull the trigger no need to traumatize innocent people!

Money heals all wounds. The naysayers haven't seen it first hand. Someone dies and the first thing family members do is open the yellow pages and start calling lawyers/retaining counsel anticipating a payout. Happens all the time.

I wouldn't volunteer any information. If the Nazi's want to know where I am going the answer will be "none of your business". Last time I checked movement hasn't been restricted (yet). -

No stickers on my truck, before heading to the range (and when leaving the range) I check to make sure running lights, break lights, turn signals, headlights are all working...keep it slightly under the speed limit and drive like your liberty depends on it. Make sure reg/insurance is good same with inspection, make sure plates are not obscured. No reason to pull me over. Wrap gun cases in blankets, tons of crap in the back (think: work truck). -
Will do, I'll check in the afternoon....

Not hearing you guys on HF when I last checked about 25 min. ago, I'll check 40/20/15/10 and see in a few minutes...

I wasn't able to load up the gear today as I was busy with some other things, how many stations did you guys get? From Dec 12 to 13 is the ARRL 10m contest, hope too work you on my favourite band

Thanks for the reminder! I always forget dates and enjoy working 2M SSB. Hopefully I'll get to work you on 2M SSB with the Yagi

hope she didn't flip out on you Cap Well, now you know it works. Use a channel with little/no activity between the mobile and base you shouldn't have to put up with too much of that. Most of the foul mouth talk seems to stay under channel 26-28 and most is on AM not SSB (LSB/USB). I'm glad you didn't leave channel 6 on in the shop!!! 19 can be bad but on 6 a sailor can't compete...

Oh, your mounting it on the car... In that case, a mag mount should work. I have an NMO mount on my truck, if you are not looking to drill into the cab roof the mag mount is a much better option. The J-pole really sin't car mountable...those are great for base/home use..

http://www.arrowantennas.com/osj/j-pole.html I have one I bought several years ago, it has withstood several storms and is still in good working order. These are machined elements and will last many years if installed correctly. The only issue is every 2-3 years I need to tighten the elements...I've often wondered how thread locker would work on these but haven't tried it.

Cap, I would just get the connector and use an Arrow Antenna J-Pole and put it on the roof...

For the PK machine guns most likely...

It should have a SO-239 connector on the back, Universal Radio lists it as "SO-239" connector... Check this page: http://www.universal-radio.com/catalog/parts/so2adapt.html That lists just about all (common) SO239/PL259 connectors and adapters

I grabbed a box of the Rem. Gold Bullets (525 rd box)...brought it down to a little over $30. Thanks!!1

I got the same story from RL freight. When the driver showed up I offered him a little money to help move it into my garage and did so, no issues. Same experience with Estes lines. UPS freight is a no-go...
