  5. Lmao ...Philly wouldn't be so bad if the fans didn't behave like animals lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Thanks Chris ...I'm calling there Thursday. I called on Saturday and was told to call back then. Others have suggested it, too, so I might just do that. Thanks guys! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. It's so much fun watching the flyers fans get their hopes up ...and then watch them get dashed away. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. @DSD1026 I'm not far for Howell at all. I'll give them a call and see what they say. @Smoke Eater that sounds stressful to me (though to some guys that might be easy peasy lol) but if I don't get a gunsmith that has the tools to do it I'll give it a try. Thanks guys! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Thanks Sota ...I might make the hike (not sure where you are) if there's no gun smiths locally that can do this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Lmao @ Bhunted Dwamp I was thinking about it but I want to see what someone will charge first. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. So I bought Ameriglo sights for my M&P 9c. I thought I would try installing them myself but the packaging says DO NOT install them without the special tool that is used because it "pushes" the sights in nicely. If you "tap" the sights into place you could break the sealed tubes and the tritium will leak out and they won't "glow" in the dark any more. That being said I figured I'd call Andy from Shore Shot since he's got a pretty good reputation. The only problem is I called last Saturday and they said call on Friday - he only works Fridays. So I've waited all week to call there, I call and they say he's not in tonight - call next Friday. I explained that I waited all week to call him tonight and now he's not there and asked if there's any way to get him a message. I was told no. I just have to wait and call next Friday. Anybody have a better suggestion? Maybe one of you guys is friends with him? Or maybe someone knows another gunsmith in the area they would recommend? (Someone you personally have used) Thoughts? 12. Man you guys have me so stoked to do this!! LOL Thanks again so much for the wealth of info you guys have shared! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. BTW do any of you shoot at Old Bridge? I'm looking at their calendar and the May 2nd looks good to me. Maybe I can get there early and get acclimated ...I see helping set everything up is a good gesture for noobies too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Honestly club level (at this time anyway) is all I think I'll ever be into. I play ice hockey and over the years have settled on an "organized pickup" game that I've been playing with the same group of guys almost 15 years. I liked playing in the "men's leagues" but then it becomes about winning. I enjoy playing and with our standing pickup game it never matters which team wins (well maybe it matters right after the game but it's 0-0 at the beginning of the next lol) and it's just so much more enjoyable to me that way. Not really any fighting or anything. No "team" rivalries ...maybe a couple between players but some weeks you're on the same team as your rivalry so it never becomes too serious. So all that being said I think the "club level" will suit me just fine and I'm really looking forward to meeting some of you guys and having some fun shooting! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Guys thanks a lot for all this help! Dargz I will start paying close attention to my re-holstering. It is possible I am ...I've been focussing on the draw and keeping my finger off the trigger until my sights are on target. I haven't even been paying any attention to re-holstering. Though I like to believe I'm not sweeping myself ever. It's definitely something I'm going to focus on starting tomorrow and make sure I have no issues. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Thanks for trying to help me understand this. I'm looking at specs for my gun and I'm seeing different FPS. If I get there and they test my ammo and it's outside of "spec" then what happens? Do I just pack up and go home? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I drive an SUV. When I head to the range I put everything in the very back. I lockup my gun in its gun case and zip that up inside my range bag, but my ammo is in the cardboard box it comes in and zipped inside a separate compartment of the bag. Is this ok or the ammo needs to be "locked" too?? Sorry to keep this thread going but it gets confusing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I practiced like 5-10 minutes a night for a week or so and I'm used to the paddle release now. I'm just doing range plinking with it - it's not my HD gun either so I don't plan on needing to defend my life with it. I just wanted to try something different and based on all the video and text reviews I bought a new one sight unseen and have zero regrets. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Thanks for all the information to getting started! I'm just waiting for my belt from The Beltman and then I think I'll have everything I need to get started. I'm still a little confused about what ammo I can use. If I'm using 115gr 9mm from Freedom Munitions is that going to be ok? Also to start I'm not going to be concerned with "speed" and trying to win so much as I want to focus on safety and doing things correctly. If I have an Alien Gear IWB holster ...can I use this? I have been working on drawing and dry firing, but I'd really like to work on drawing and live firing and thought IDPA would be a good venue for this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  23. I put in my first order in January and they emailed me that policy. I called and spoke with someone and explained I MUST have my ammo shipped to my parents because I live in a townhouse and children get out of school before adults get out of work and there's no way I'm going to have UPS leave a box of live ammo on my doorstep. They said ok and allow me to have it shipped to my parents. I haven't had an issue since. Why don't you try calling them? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. My PPQ M1 is my current favorite. I mean everyone has a "button" style mag release so I say if you were only going to have one handgun go with a button style. But if you're going to have more than one, for some variety try the M1 so you have something a little bit different in your arsenal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
