  1. I got an 02 silverado z71 ex cab with 300k on the odometer right now. It was a couple years old with 68k on it when I got it. All the drive tran is original, only things I've replaced was 2 fuel pumps, one at 120k and the next at 250k Alternator at 200k Water pump at 150k Radiator at 280k Cats and o2 sensors at 200k A couple of coils a little over 200 My interior is emaculant, it still runs and drives amazing but there is some rust on the cab corners and rockers. From what I understand now you can prevent the rust with annual maintenance but I was lazy and didn't know any better. After my experience with this truck will I ever buy any other brand, fuck no, I'm saving up for another one right now (l like to pay cash for everything). Side note, 2 guys I know we're die hard ford fans both went through 2 trucks each over the years I've had this truck. They both drive silverados now and have indirectly thanked me (because I talked alot of shit every time their fords were in the shop or when i was fixing them and finally when the engine blew in one). Toyotas, meh, I was a mechanic at the dealer for 2 years when the tundras first came out. After seeing all the weird problems with them I would never buy one. That was many many years ago though so I really don't know anything about the newer ones. I know they are supposedly more made in America than the silverado but I'm way to American to support the japs. (Even though the only thing in this room made in America is the plastic bottle I'm using to feed the baby).
  2. I'm sure it's not hard at all, did you check YouTube? I've done plenty of farm equipment and tractor trailers, just crack the lines lose and it will leak out.
  3. The scoring is very easy, it's time plus penalties. Which means you're your raw, time say you ran a stage in 60 seconds and had one failure to engage paper which is + 25 seconds so your total time would be 85 seconds. Congrats on the new shotgun. Now you just need a decent belt, some shotgun shell caddies and you're all set.
  4. If I don't write "off hand" in the stage description then yes but I usually do. The definition of offhand is standing unsupported. Also I almost always make the start position port arms so you would probably waste alot of time going from port arms to slung up if I forgot to write offhand. It's really an easy shot, it's less than 100 yards and the targets are huge. I think they are 10 or 12 inch. It's all in your head man.
  5. I'm so glad youze guys came down, it's been a while since I got to break Fil's balls. Hope all of you can make it again next month. Also hope I can get some sleep next time so Fil and I can go head to head. Yesterday was the worst I ever shot in a long time, felt like a drunk zombie out there lol. If you come down again let me know ahead of time so we can squad together, Fil has my number feel free to get it from him.
  6. If you need any gear like she'll caddies just ask. Most guys have extra, I always Hava a couple extra in my bag.
  7. Work is no excuse for missing 3 gun now drop and give me 20!
  8. Are you going to be using this gun for competition?
  9. If you get a range officer I think all you need is something like this https://ads.midwayusa.com/product/596673/egw-vortex-razor-red-dot-mount-matte?cm_mmc=pf_ci_google-_-Optics - Scope Rings%2C Bases%2C Mounting %26 Accessories-_-EGW-_-596673&gclid=CjwKCAjwjJjOBRBVEiwAfvnvBEwUCC6gK6HLaLHJIbN3I-bylKAd4E82abqXFnnhblCwuZYQZWz9ARoCNrgQAvD_BwE The range officer has an LPA rear sight cut. I don't know about any of the other guns sight cuts you asked about but Google is your friend.
  10. John do you have amazon prime? This is a great deal on a good belt https://www.amazon.com/USPSA-Competition-Shooting-Black-Suggested/dp/B009TRB5HC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1505838937&sr=8-1&keywords=Black+scorpion+belt Here's a video on how to size your belt You definitely need a way to carry at least 8 shells on your belt, if you try to load from your pocket or a clay pouch you will time out every stage. Something on this page will work https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=Shell+caddy
  11. It can be a better gun but that will bump you to open. Not a big deal but yes it has to be approved by the match director. You asked earlier about the magnifier on your red dot, did you read and understand the rule on that? Basically if you want to use that set up in Tac Ops (tactical scope) you can as long as the magnifier stays on the rifle for the whole match, yes you can swing it to the side and as long as the magnifier has no aiming reticle in it. If you take it completely off and put it on later or vice versa that is a bump to open. Option 2 is leave the magnifier completly off and shoot in the limited division.
  12. Match director. Also you can upgrade but that just bumps you to open division. If there is ever any question on any rule either see myself or jeff. I head last match that someone (yes I know who) got a reshoot due to a squib that was not stopped by the RO. There is no rule set anywhere that allows that.
  13. Extra guns is up to you, depends on how dependable your guns are. I never brought extras even to big matches. Like Tat said if you need anything someone will loan you one, really good crowd at all 3 gun matches. Now to really answer that question... you have to read the rules http://www.lchico5u.com/FNH3G/Rules.pdf I'll give you extra credit if you can tell me the rule on switching firearms
  14. Pretty good video here just ignore the old school SG shell holders everyone quad loads now
  15. Slings? Not sure. You don't need anything special, just something that can carry your rifle for 30 second or so.
  16. What kind of shells do you need John I have 2 cases of these left I'll try to find some decent videos in the next couple of days, I'll post them here.
  17. Zeke, what are doing liking posts in this thread you gonna come out and play??? Come to the dark side, we have cookies.
  18. 1 have you shot any competitions? Idpa, uspsa, anything like that? Or watched a bunch of youtube videos? 2 there's a few different divisions, you need to read the rules on the website. I'm not tactical enough to know what an eotec is lol, so I'm guessing it's a red dot, as long as it's not magnified that would put you in limited. The furthest shot is less than 100 yards at huge targets. 3 Rifle sling is all you need for this match on only 1 stage. Very few people have SG slings yet so I'm probably going to wait till next year for that. Ask all the questions you have that's what the thread is for. Not to mention this whole forum, last time I looked at the top it said njgunforum.com not guess what kind of pipe this is forum, so please ask all the shooting guns questions you have. No matter what you can definitely come out and try. Worst case scenario is you just use it to learn what you need for the next one.
  19. Come on now I don't think I've been hard on youze guys at all (so far)
  20. You could shoot in either division, heavy hasn't been to popular we've only had one guy in one match so far. You might be better off with your 223 and 9. There are 3 slugs this match. Rifled slugs are what you need. Any questions feel free to call me. Just bring her to the match with you, tell her it's a good time loading your mags and carrying all your stuff lol.

    New Toy

Nice gun. What type of grip is that on the front strap and main spring housing? Also thank you for posting a thread about guns on NJGF, this place is so far off topic anymore.
  22. I have 5 brand new stages this time around and a new twist for range #4. Better bring your A game or just look forward to a really good time.
