  2. PK was making a point as to how many people of his, purchased multiple firearms.
  3. Ken, read the text, I attached a link a page ago. The amended version exempts Dealers, Law Enforcement Agencies, and C&R holders.

  5. How many have bought more than 1 handgun in a month? I have. Alot of new shooters have. How about this... if you put more than one handgun on consignment, and then want it back.... guess what, you need a pistol permit for each. so if you put 2, or 3, or 4... it will take at least half a year to get them all back if you dont already have pistol permits. I agree, that most dont average one a month, but quite frequently, do I see someone buying more than one handgun at a time. But, that is not the point here, the point is, they are RESTRICTING OUR FREEDOMS in the same of possibly saving one life. they made an example that STATES HAVE THE RIGHTS TO RESTRICT THE CONSTITUTIONAL FREEDOMS AFFORDED TO US! Wake up people.
  6. right now more of a feelgood, but going forward, once the addresses are in, an easier way to contact them.... and hey, might aswell contact them all with a click of a button.
  7. Effingers, cheyenne, and sportsmans typically have 9mm for the 12 to 16 a box range. Dicks was around $15 for a box. Walmarts in Pa, if you want to make it out, $9 a box (but this one you really have to hunt)
  8. if someone can compile a list of emails for these legislators... i will put up a contact form for them..... so one click, goes to all of them.
  9. What about all the NRA Instructors? or those just getting started, you have a serious need of mroe than one a month. Oh well. We got 5 months.
  10. I doubt they have thought of that yet. It will be a impossible task to track unless before any permit is issued, someone hand searches the applicant's file to see how many have been purchased to date. It will just slow down a already bogged down system. Waits will increase, that's for sure. The bottom line is that the law will do little to nothing for crime. The vast majority of handgun purchases don't go over 12 a year. The intent was to stem straw purchases from buying vast numbers of handguns. Except that never was a problem in NJ in the first place. The law started with Healey in Jersey City. When he couldn't get it passed, he tried on the state level. It is crazy though, if it could not pass in Jersey city, yet passes on the state level.
  11. I doubt it. This only affects handguns. Rifles will still be there, but much like prohibition, knowing your rights are limited, I bet more people will make sure they get their legal 12 a year. I seriously wonder how they are going to enforce the 12 limit.... Are you still going to have to get a permit before you buy one? does it mean you are limited to 6 pistol permits? or will they issue them at a faster rate?
  12. keep reading... I just saw, they wrote it in, that a total a person can buy is 1.
  13. The one saving grace.... I am reading the details... C&R holders. (b) a collector of handguns as curios or relics as defined in Title 8 18, United States Code, section 921 (a) (13) who has in his 9 possession a valid Collector of Curios and Relics License issued by 10 the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; http://www.njleg.state.nj.us/2008/Bills ... 339_I1.PDF
  14. Just updated the blog. please pass it to all your friends and those you know. http://www.njgunforums.com
  15. What a ******* "Lets further make it difficult to get people to buy guns."
  16. wow. =P that is the quote of the day. I must say... the 75% of handguns I own, are second hand. Never and issue, and I honestly think it is good to give them a good home. Kind of like picking up a dog at the pound or shelter.
  17. daniel, you are THE sig guy. lol. not a sig guy.
