  1. I'll most likely bring my 18.5" 590A1 again and the 18.5" NEF Pardner. Not ideal, but they're what I have Don't think I'll bring out the AR this time, unless other people want to hit the rifle range after clays.
  2. Has anyone heard anything about the new Saiga 5.45x39's that are supposed to be coming out soon? http://www.centerfiresystems.com/sai-545.aspx I can't even find it on the RAAC website. Are any of the NJGF dealers planning on carrying these?
  3. Hey Paul - would you mind expanding on that a little? I'm a little confused on what you mean by "the stock"? Do you mean that a collapsible stock needs to be pinned at least 2.5" from the receiver? Or that you can literally have a stock that's 2.5" long??
  4. Oops, i can't follow instructions: ken(member) Sickrick(soon to be member) 67gotnut (soon to be member) Caine (soon to be member)
  5. As of right now, I'll be there the 13th. If all goes according to plan, I'll be at CR the previous Sunday (9/6) becoming a member, and then I'll be able to sign someone in on the 13th if needed.
  6. I'll be there with my HD shotties (unless I can distract the little lady long enough to sneak in a new shotty by then  )
  7. Wow - I had no idea about this. VERY excited to see how this turns out. I kinda got sidetracked with other things and only read up to issue 50 of the Walking Dead, but, it's an AWESOME comic. Thanks for the headsup bbk!
  8. thanks dad it was definitely a great time that really made me stop procrastinating
  9. Interesting - did not know that law even existed
  10. Got it - I'll drag her with me whether she wants to come or not Thanks guys
  11. Can't seem to find an answer to this on the website, so was hoping someone here might know: If you're signing up for a family membership, does the wife have to be there for the safety briefing and all that? Or would I just have to put her name down, and that's it? Does she get her own membership pass? Thanks ETA: Also, if we're both there on the same day, can we both sign a different guest in? Or is it only one guest per membership?
  12. I'm like 15 minutes away from BH, but what Ed said is why I dont go to BH more often and why I'm probably joining Cherry Ridge next month. For the most part, I only go during the early afternoon on weekdays if I happen to be off of work (which is rare). That said, you guys should come up to Cherry Ridge during the next clay shoot
  13. Was that an inside joke? Or do you really think only idiots rapid fire? *scratches head*
  14. Agreed - I'm still too new to shooting to even worry about speed right now. It's rare for me to do more than 1 shot per 2-3 seconds.. unless I'm goofing around with a .22 or something. I'm still trying to figure out how the guy in the lane next to me shoot out one of the florescent tubes last time I was at BH
  15. I can't remember if it's exactly A1 length, or just close to it.. but yeah.. it's an option I guess. The Sullys are pricey (and a bit heavy). I have yet to install the one I have cuz I'm waiting on a lower for it. Def let us know how you like the Cav.
  16. You can do double-taps. I run Zimbabwe drills all the time like it's my job. Two neat little holes in the chest, one in the forehead. I think you mean Mozambique Drill but either way - good to know. A co-worker of mine says he was yelled at for firing too fast and that they told him no more than 1 shot per second. Granted, he also apparently shot the target holder and broke it, so maybe they just don't like him
  17. I believe Sully sells a 1" buttpad that puts the total length of the stock right around A1 length.
  18. Most of the gun related laws in this state are moronic.. I personally think the whole threaded barrel thing is even stupider than that non-adjustable stock. But anyway As far as overall length, every time I try to look it up I come up with the 26" number, which I believe is stated in federal law. 16" barrel - 26" overall length. The only reason I say I'm not sure, is because, as we all know, NJ has a tendency to ignore federal law, and make up it's own rules. That said, I've never actually read anything stating that the overall length is any different here. Your best bet may be to PM someone like PK90.
  19. Hmmm, can't say I noticed that.. gonna have to look at my copy when I get home now lol
  20. Thanks Tb. Looked up Stoeger and the rest of their line up and they have some pretty impressive shotguns for what seem like reasonable prices given the features. I also like that some of them come as 12/20 combos! Must.. control.. urge.. to.. buy....
  21. I never really gave O/Us much thought, but have been toying with the idea of one as a clay gun. Prob need to get my hands a couple to feel 'em out and see if I like 'em
  22. I'm starting to get the impression that there is a bit of variation between O/U models
