  1. I have a funny history, the day I sold my Kawasaki 400 I took the buyer to take the test to the Roosevelt Stadium in Jersey City, show my license to the officer, the guy takes the test, there were 4 more guys that wanted to take the test and did not have anybody to show the license, one guy ask and I accepted then the second by the third guy the officer told me to go home he already have my driver license number.
  2. Anybody can tell me what year Cabela opened in PA?

  4. That happened to me with a scope, when they had free shipping, they gave me credit, If I returned the scope I had to pay for sending it back and they had to send me another one and pay the shipping again. I believe they will match the price.
  5. Damn you guys... I love pizza, Florida pizza tastes like cardboard. I really missed the Jersey pizza. Today I had a whopper and fries to keep my level of cholesterol.
  6. That was my personal honest opinion. I not saying buy a super bike. I use to like to take long rides to the shore, that
  7. A few years ago I read an article that the association of pediatrics or something likes that was asking their patients if they were firearms in the home. The NRA have a list of association that are anti-gun, they are on the list.
  8. a ninja 250?!?! ninja 250s are great to learn on... then would move to a naked street bike... not really a cruiser, but not a crotch rocket. I personally think that you are going to hate yourself if you buy a 250s after a month of riding it (to small). My first bike was a Yamaha 400 after a week a traded for a 650 within a year a bought a Harley Sporter 900, price was $3.900
  9. I can't remember been ask for my employers info when I applied for my FID. Every time I asked for a pistol permit I wrote unemployed, they never question me.
  10. From an email I received today...whether it is true or not...does not matter the principle is sound. An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had once failed an entire class. That class had insisted that Obama's socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer. The professor then said, "OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama's plan". All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A. After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy. As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little. The second test average was a D! No one was happy. When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F. The scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else. All failed, to their great surprise, and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because, when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed. It could not be any simpler than that.
  11. I will buy an S&W 22a for the same money, nice plinking gun
  12. Well, i guess this is a sore topic.. but I would like to see if anyone can find a law (or even relevant case law) that is actually broken when this situation occurs. Let's get it straight, you can buy a black powder pistol or rifle, all legal, once you cross the state, the firearm is illegal why? You are a Jersey resident, if you can proof that the firearm was in your possession before you move into Jersey is all legal as with any other firearm that you may have. As a resident of Jersey you can't bring any pistols or revolvers into the state that you bought out of the state, long arms are legal. Since I moved to Florida I bought a G 22, if I move back to Jersey (no way) I don't need any permit for my G22.
  13. Can remember the year I think was 1991 to register your firearm. I took mine out of Jersey because I was afraid if I register they will come back later and take away, I kept the mag, I put a piece of wood to make them legal. I don
  14. How do you figure? The pistol purchase permit allows you to PURCHASE a pistol in NJ. It has nothing to do with possession of a pistol. If I was a PA resident, and bought the Blackpowder gun in PA, then decided to move to NJ, I would have to do nothing additionally. Blackpowder guns are not considered firearms by the ATF, and there are no interstate laws regarding FFL transfers on them. What I'm saying, If you are a long term Jersey resident, you NEED a permit. If you are an out of state resident moving to Jersey no need for permit.
  15. Once you cross the state line you have an ilegal gun.
  16. I think he was pulling your leg. Edgewater, there is no room for a shooting range.
  17. If you reload, you can beat the 444 marlin and have more varieties of bullets. There is nothing that a 45/70 can do like a 444.
  18. In the book more gun less crime, by John Lott, the statistics (approximately) are three million a year or one every thirteen seconds
  19. When I bought my Springfield M1A from Meltzer, it came with 3 mag of 20 round they had a piece of wood blocking to load 15 rounds, at the time it was legal. Now I don't have to worry
