The are varied strengths of pepper spray. The active ingredient , capsaicin can be purchased with strengths of 2% to 10% capsaicin.

Having some pepper spray on hand wouldn't hurt. Dick's even sells it !

looks like I am leaning towards the M&P as well bbk. From what I have been reading, it looks like a great choice for an AR with the options that they include ! Anyone know what gun shop has a good selection of AR's that I can touch and feel ?

My goal is to either purchase a base ar-15 and customize or build one however I am not there yet. I need to start reading and become knowledgeable of the parts involved, manufacturers,etc.

What would a good base AR recommendation be and build from there when funds are available ? Am I OK to start out with a Bushmaster or Armalite ?

Can anyone point me to a good site/book to learn/evaluate military type rifles from AR,AK, HK,FN,etc and how to build one with the options and accessories ? I find these fascinating and want to start with my first one. Also, are any of the multitude of Gun Digest review magazines worthwhile ?

nope I've had most of my success with Bristol and Bethlehem - a bit more of a drive across 78 however last time I made the trip which was a month ago, they did not impose purchase limits.

Bristol,PA had a few Value Packs left in 9mm, no 40S&W, Bensalem, Fairless Hills were out in both.

Being originally from Toronto, there are some beautiful areas in northern Canada to consider if you're into fishing or hunting or just enjoy being outdoors. I'm not a hunter but have fished in some breath-taking areas in northern Ontario(province).

Just an FYI Decided to go for a drive today in PA for ammo and checked out Walmart in Willow Grove (276 and Route 1). They asked for my DL and since it was a NJ DL, he couldn't sell ammo to me. He said "we need to respect NJ Laws" I have had success in Bristol (today) with 9mm(Winchester Value Pack), as well as Bethehem stores without anyone asking for a DL.

Hi everyone, Finally decided to join this forum after reading and enjoying the various topics posted that range from NJ firearms Law, recommendations,etc. I just got back into the sport after being absent for a few years, still a newbie though and plan to take some of the courses listed by the vendors in this forum. Recently purchased a Glock 17 and Sig 226/.40 and enjoying it.
