Not that it helps much with your question, but I was down at my local PD today (politely inquiring about the status of a couple of pistol permits) and I asked about the new law. I was told they have not received anything from the state yet, so it will be business as usual until they do.

Well it is nice to know that I am not the only one with this problem. I am VERY right handed, left eye dominant. When I shot the CX, after I shot the ceiling of Shore Shot, I sighted in with my right eye and was able to get a decent group at 15 yards (but the target is not clear from 10 yards out with my right eye). As a very new shooter, I did not even consider trying to shoot lefty. I believe I will make an appointment with the eye doctor. It's funny how a new hobby will make you do something you should have done years ago. I did have a contact in my right eye some 20 years ago, but with my trade, contacts are not very wise. When shooting the pistol, I close my right eye, and I can see almost 20 yards (but not very clear). Thank you all very much

So, I was at the range last week and a kind fellow next to me let me try his CX-4 Storm. Fun to shoot, but I think I may have a problem. Question first: Can a right handed person sight in on a rifle with the left eye? I think I know the answer, and it might lead to Lasix, or maybe glasses. Unfortunately, I might have to postpone my AR build/purchase until I find an answer. EngineerJet's Stag was looking pretty good to me.

OK, after I blew my cash on a new Sig p226 SCT 40, I started looking at getting my first rifle. I am considering a Sig 556 or a Bushmaster AR-15 Any opinions one way or the other?? Also where in NJ can I shoot it?, How many of you guys go to Central J. in Jackson? Thanks

If you don't mind me asking, what happened with who over there? I'm thinking of shooting Friday, Will BA let me bring my own ammo and how much to shoot if I'm not a member?

I like the FNP-40, only problem is the loaded chamber indicator didn't work at all at first, seems to be loosening up and working better. About 600 rounds so far, no problems Born and raised in Red Bank, bought a house near Keyport in 2002

Wow, just found this forum late last night. Great I can get some info from fellow gun lovers here in NJ. A little background for you. I am a bit of a Noob. A few friends took me to Shore Shot in the beginning of October. Loved it, put in my applications the next week(only one pistol). Joined the NRA, Joined Shore Shot, have been scouring the internet for information about handguns, shooting etc. My permits came back 11/13. On 11/14 I picked up an FHN FNP-40. On 11/21 dropped off applications for 2 more handguns. Trying to decide on my first rifle or first shotgun. I'm glad I found you guys Didn't hear about the Brick Armory till last week, Any of you guys shoot at Shore Shot?
