  1. Thanks guys for the responses. I still home some researching to do, most of the build is on back order anyways.
  2. After recently finishing my M4 build I decided to pick up another lower and try a different style. I plan to use the Mega billet combo I have to build something along the lines of a precision rifle with a long barrel. Issue is I can't seem to find any reasonable priced .223 bull barrels, preferably in 24" Any suggestions? Thanks
  3. Thanks all for the advice thus far. As for the lawyer I can tell you from the banks I've contacted regarding mortgages and rates, majority of them require a lawyer before the application process even begins. Just their policy, unless you have the cash handy to buy the house outright it's just something we have to deal with.
  4. So our offer on a house was accepted and now comes the part to look for a home inspector. I've searched around and found a few licensed inspectors in the area with their general price. Does anybody know of or is a inspector in Central NJ? Specifically Woodbridge Township. Thanks
  5. Thanks for the heads up. I'm keeping my eye out for a 24 gun safe, have a feeling there's some good deals coming up soon.
  6. Simple and smooth transaction. Immediate payment, +1 all day. Thanks!
  7. We're all in it because we love what we do, techs atleast. It's a disease. No doubt you do your job and safely. I've been there at ballpark, C3, Amelia in the middle of the night dead of winter. No need to describe that to you. Of course there's mutual respect, I should've been a little more respectful and I apologize. Overall the company was and will never be the same, hence what made me leave. I have a few good friends still there and they have stories of the mess that's happening now of who's running what. As far as time restraints, we both know maintenance is the least remembered part of any airline and yet we make it happen everyday because again we love what we do. In time I'll be back in EWR & when I am dinner from the employee diner is on me for those remarks I made
  8. Fly jetBlue! Even as a employee their service still amazes me, plus free is always great I left Continental/United during the beginning signs of a merger and haven't looked back since. No regrets leaving my cushy Supervisor job to go back to being a tech. They have this piss poor attitude that trickles down through employees and reflects in their customer service. Don't know if it's the Union mentality or what but I've never come across such a vast group of bitter people. From gate agents to pilots to fellow technicians they all hate what they do but manage to do very little. Baffles me
  9. This is just my personal opinion but from owning both a eotech holo and now ACOG, hands down the ACOG wins. The eotech while it was sturdy, it solely served as close range usage for me. When I took it out to the range past 50 yds it was useless. I decided to sell it and use some additional money towards a Trijicon ACOG and it was worth every penny. It will take you sometime to understand the science behind both eyes open operation. Once you do though it will be natural as soon as you pick it up. For me it's got the close range factor, and also just as useful when taken outdoors to the range. I actually thought about selling it to help contribute to some wedding items, but when I picked it up after not using it for awhile I fell in love all over again.
  10. Picked this up for the wife a while back
  11. Deepest condolences to you and your family. May you find strength to get through these difficult times.
  12. I was also there today around 12. Great first visit. Much much better than another indoor range I frequently used up North. SS is extremely clean, calm environment. And the RO was unbelievably great. Kept coming up and talking to us. We brought our wives with us one who was a first time shooter. He madE sure she was comfortable throughout our stay, extremely enjoyable to see compared to other RO's we've encountered. Even met two elderly ladies next booth over that we offered our handguns to for trying out. Great to see such a diverse crowd. I'll be back next weekend for sure, and more after until I have the time to re-sign to another outdoor range.
  13. Finish is a flat black finish very similiar to the AR platform, technical term is parkerized. Couldn't be happier with the purchase, it was one of those I'm bored at work in the middle of the night find on gunbroker.
  14. Congrats man, now get ready for wedding planning. I'm going through places to have the wedding now, the depression from seeing the cost is setting in. It's making me contemplate selling some of the toys
  15. Had a few spare minutes today to snap some pics of it:
  16. A buddy mentioned this club to me. Anybody have info on it? Is it outdoors, size, membership criteria etc. From their website all I could really gather was its in South Amboy.
  17. I've personally had more luck with gunbroker. Especially with C&R type firearms. Think I've used 6 or so times with no flaws. I find it has more varieties and at a much better price.
  18. Of course it could always be better, but hang around here longer and you'll see it could be far worse. There's real horror stories of waiting 6 months to a year for the FID, now that's unacceptable. Not defending our PD by any means cause the law states the timeframe which is usually never met. However, they'll continue to use their "valid" reasons for delays knowing they have the upper hand.
  19. 6 weeks is usually the wait I've seen. Last set I received in Decemeber I waited 8 weeks. Mileage may vary. I can tell you Mary will do all in her power to help, so don't take it out on her.
  20. Came across this link of Booker blabbing away on another forum. Wonder how successful this will be. There's some I interesting comments on the YouTube page. Sorry if it's a repost http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pFG2H3TaK5s&feature=youtube_gdata_player
  21. The Gen4 is a upgrade in ergonomics, but it's still a Glock at the end of the day. I recently picked up a H&K P30, now that's a nice feeling gun. Plenty of different configurations to suite your needs and its in your price. Check out this review: http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2011/12/david-jensen/gun-review-hk-p30/ Let me know if your interested in shooting either.
  22. Creative to say the least. I made a little range in my garage a while back just for practice. Good luck picking up BB's for the next few years.
  23. Had the same question. I have a few friends I've met through work who live in NY (where I work.). While their out on the island, I'd still have to pass through one of the 5 boroughs to go meet with them. Which would make me a Plaxico on the spot.
