  1. I didn't offer to do it. The owner of the company asked me via email. I was looking for something to hang my hat on in terms of not doing this and more or less got that here. I preferred to say it is not legal than simply say "no". Anyway, I explained it is not allowed.
  2. I suggested that he contact RTSP or Gun for Hire to see if he can rent a locker.
  3. The CEO asked if I could store another employee's guns because a fire severely damaged his house. Our company is storing furniture in the warehouse but am I allowed to store his guns in my home? I don't know how many or if handguns or long guns. I have a firearms ID card and I amassuming his guns are NJ legal. I only met this guy once so I didn't reach out to him yet (different building then where I work). Thanks
  4. Shawn, what is that little bump on the bottom of the trigger guard (on the inside)? Probably a silly question but on a scale of 1 to 10 for gun knowledge I am a 3 on a good day.
  5. $50 gift card to RTSP from my step daughter.
  6. I went to Pat Goodale's Practical Firearms Training for Def. handgun I and II (two days, 1000 rounds) two years ago. They train law enforcement and military during week and civilians on weekends. It is in Alderson, WV...I stayed 12 miles away in Lewisburg, WV. The range is amazing (I was there in early Oct...smack in the middle of the W. Virginia mountains). The instructors are very watchful. I don't shoot very much so moving onto to rifle/shotgun is not in my future, I need big improvements in handgun. I was thinking of going back there...so I thought it was worth it. They have carbine and all the classes one would look for. The website is www.pgpft.com and I think that is their YouTube channel too...although the videos are old.
  7. Thanks guys. I hit him with the link from MidwestPX and that seemed to silence him.
  8. Lol. I just read a NY Times article where this Oregon assholes mother said he suffered from Aspergers...same thing Adam Lanz suffered from. I am sure it is more involved than Aspergers, but worth noting.
  9. Since I am not the sharpest tool in the shed, I would appreciate some suggestions in responding to someone who quoted Paul Waldman (?): "we should really ask every other country on earth how they all eliminated mental illness, since that is the source of all gun massacres." He is being sarcastic because I stated that mental illness is often the issue and I would appreciate the gov addressing that before they attack my Const. Rights. Thanks guys.
  10. Okay guys, thx. I last bought a handgun in '98 and the permit was ready on day 30 so I will be very happy if that is repeated. Just thought I would take advantage of being in VT if possible.
  11. I have a NJ FID card. I am renting a cabin in VT next Friday. If I go to Vermont and purchase a NJ legal handgun (Glock 26 with NJ legal mag capacity) and request them to send it to RTSP or another FFL, will I need to show RTSP a handgun permit to take possession of the gun? How would RTSP know that I did not have a home in VT and simply want to relocate the gun? I know I can't drive home from VT with it because I am going through NY. I plan on asking RTSP when I go shooting this upcoming week, but thought I would see what you all thought. I have no clue and automatically assume the worst in this state. Thanks folks.
  12. Just scored two of them at Ramsey Outdoors in Succasunna thanks to the info above. Ialways thought that was a hunting store...they have some good stuff there. I got to hold the Shield, XDS-9 and Nano. I like the first two, especially the XDS....didn't notice that grip safety at all. And the guy there was extremely nice and helpful, and he had others customers too. I will go back there in a few weeks to buy two more mags.
  13. I did not realize how hard it would be to find these in the PMAG 15/30 configuration. I have checked online quite a bit , but with no success. Plan on going to RTSP tonight to see what they have, if anything. Any suggestions of website I should visit to find these? thanks!

    Road Flares

Thanks, Auto Zone had plenty. I kept checking online (Amazon) and all I saw were battery operated ones. I guess I can take my backyard Tiki torches out my car now.

    Road Flares

Are road flares (actual flame) legal in NJ? I tried a quick Google seqrch but did not see anything conclusive. thanks.
  16. Good to see the old Mike back in form. This is good right up until the last second.
  17. For my situation it appears to be of no use. I can't carry in PA. I go to Vermont and NH almost every year, but I can't drive with handgun thru NY (even locked in trunk, unloaded, etc...). I don't forsee myself going below the Mason Dixon line so not useful for me there. However, I do have one. Got it prior to PA nixing NJ residents to carry there. PA was the only reason I got it since I am there almost once a month. Oh well. If I had to do it all over knowing PA would cut us off then I would pass and buy more ammo instead.
  18. I saw one at my parents in Montville...next to Parsippany. It was rather large. At first I thought it was a German Shepard. Love the story about 15 years ago. A woman lived and hiked in Colorado most of her life and never attacked. Moves to Boonton, NJ and gets attacked by a coyote getting the mail.
  19. Jim Miller from Sparta, NJ is fighting in the main event tonight on Fox Sports 1. Anyone watching?
  20. I have a Brewer's Best extract (robust porter) with about 2 more weeks to go in the bottle. My last winter homebrew.
  21. Riverhorse Oatmeal Milk Stout.
  22. I recommend getting one where the wheel is in the front. The ones that have the wheel in the back force you to slightly change your stance where your knees are kanted inwards (very slight, but given your knee problems it might me more meaningful for you). Good luck and stay active!
