  1. no specific reason, I had a long action With a magnum bolt face to use. Plus 140 grain bergers at over 3200 fps ain't bad! Lol
  2. Yea I'm not lugging it around. I've got my 243 for that lol. This is a range toy and maybe some prone or bench macthes. The 243 is for those 3 day haul all your kit matches lol.
  3. I would vote for a molle chest rig, so you can customize where you want the pouches. Some of the rigs that have pouches already sewn onto them don't work for some people. The molle just gives you the versatility to put your pouches anywhere. I had a haley d3 that i sold. Id go for an SOE rig.
  4. I have used the following with all good results TAG SOE CRYE Fast Mag SOTECH EAGLE Tactical Tailor Currently for my duty rig, I use a Crye JPC with SOE mag pouches. My belt is a tactical tailor belt with fast mag pistol pouches and SOE AR pouches.
  5. are you using a belt or chest rig/plate carrier setup?
  6. Thanks, it was great working with you. When you're ready for a new stock and bedding let us know!
  7. Chris, 26 nosler, 26 inch, surefire brake. Truing is making sure that the face of the action is square to threads inside the reciever and making sure the lugs have full contact on the receiver abutments. This could mean cutting new receiver threads and/or cutting the face square to the threads, cutting and lapping the bolt lugs and abutments.
  8. Got the action trued and the barrel spun up. Took the chassis a part and gave it a little od green cerakote. The barreled action along with the rails will be painted as well. I haven't decided on a color yet. Here it is with all the parts mocked up. Hopefully I'll get to finish it within the next week or two.
  9. Finally got around to building another bolt gun for myself. Starting it off with a APO saber chassis. The factory hand guard was a little plain, so we milled out a few slots in it.

Straight behind the rifle, load bipod, check dope and parallax, get your rear bag set, align reticle, breath in, exhale, pull trigger, follow through. Do all that and you should be good to go. Don't forget your wind call as well.

  14. So I got most of it done. I just have to install the rear sight and it should be good to go. We cerakoted it in sniper gray and black. The bolt was sprayed in a silver gold mix.
  15. Svt3183, not just yet. We're exploring the idea to add ak services to our work line, but we're still debating on it.
  16. Just a nice little run and gun toy.
  17. drilled out that hideous clunky scope mount. We tigged all the rivets holes shut and grinded them flat. Now to wait for the big brown truck.....
