Most likely your firearms are covered up to either 1500 or 2500...look into it. Never just assume with insurance. The underwriter just has to point out that you dont have that coverage in a claim situation.

all I know is I love to hunt and track animals, lay in wait in full camo just blending in, setting traps and seeing what 'sticks', so I dont think the skill set would be hard to translate. There is a skill in all of this. Many hunters already posess these tactical skills. In some ways, animals are alot smarter than humans in getting away from us because they know the land, can see us, smell us, etc before we can get close in most cases. So if you introduce a foreign army to our land that we know, surely they will be defeated as loosely defined tactical 'Americans' could beat any army. If we can bag 15 geese, 2 bears, 8 deer, countless birds, coyotes, foxes, on their own turf, then surely we could bag us a few thousand assholes on our turf. Imagine a foreign troop movement up rt 80, until garret mntn, then all hell breaks loose, or people hiding in the marshes along the raritan to stop a troop landing...etc...these are highly unlikley scenarios, but if it did happen, many people would just jump right in and stop an invasion, then many more would join in...this is what makes a free nation. the right to defend, the right to hunt.

Thank you Gunnyr, I appreciate the feedback. I think about it as something I can give back. I have alot of freedoms here, and would like to get involved with something bigger. I run a business, and life has been good.

so far I am having a great life. I am 32. Can I join the National Guard? I am a light smoker, maybe 5 cigs a day, I work out so I am in shape. I also have a full time job in marketing, so would I be able to do this and not miss work? Can you guys give me a clue if this is even possible? I am sure there has to be a vet or 2 on here.
