I called today and confirmed the RIFLE SIDE is open.. (I know I am late back in the conversation).. Busy having this built in TX last week (and half ago) on my 11 Acres.. and shooting in my PIT..

Going to be homestead.. getting retail spot in Van Horn when I go for the FFL. (about 15 miles up the highway).. Can't wait to get more $$ so the next trip can maybe be permanent.. Thats a power line.. only cell is via Sat phone.. which is $18/month with 300 minutes.. Cells only work near the highway.. 4 miles up from cabin..

@ Tony... Day 1 was find markers on the property as the survey guy couldn't make it out.. billy-goat climing needed for the high-side on my ridge line.. I re-marked and taped with purple NO HUNTING/TRESPASS streamers.. I marked the driveway and building spot after finding a level spot.. Day 2 was show the construction crew to the site.. and hangout till they were done.. I did the pics and video that day.. I also met a local rancher with 4000+ acres whom I exchanged phone numbers with.. Day 3.. was just paint exterior and put up the 50' of fence.. (the ground is hard with rocks).. adjusted shims on the front door.. I met a local guy from ELP that I met on another forum.. (gave him hunting rights in exchange for keeping an eye on it).. Day 4.. was trip to Carlsbad Caverns up in NM.. Day 5.. was Friday.. just a veg day.. Day 6.. Saturday.. fly home.. EVERONE was nice.. no rush.. just nice people..

Just got back tonight from TX.. Heres the final 12x24 cabin pic on the 11 acres.. its sooooo nice and fresh out there.. Distance shot from FAR end of my property line.. and the building close up.. I had time to run a 50' fence along one side of the drivway as well..

Heres mine with Aervoe Spray Paint (little tougher than Krylon). In Desert Colors.. Stick on a 1x3 post in the yard.. mask things off you don't want painted or remove them. Pop it on the post in the mag well.. Don't mind the flamingo.. LOL

I heard there installing CAMERAS to point to the new tables.. this will allow them to see your chamber status without hiking down..

Sample pics of some 12 x 20 and 12 x 24 buildings from local shop up here in the NJ area.. this one had a 3' loft @ center with a 10' center peak.. mine will be 13' center peak and 5'6" loft on center (with 2x6 and Z-brackets, and not 2x4's).... My coil-packs in ALL my 4.9L Ford CVPI's (92,96,00) all had coil-pack woes.. I did them 1 at a time (as they went) as the $400 or so for all 8 would be $$. I would notice a rough idle and listen for other noises.. (sounds like BAD GAS running.. fwiw).. sounds like you got it fixed.. never had a replacement one go.. but for the cheapy $50 'copies' you never know..

I just called today.. they now have 7 lanes open on the rifle side.. now I wish I had gone today.

Basic parts for me to do my upper builds being hard to source is making my vacation for 3 weeks seem like a good evaluation time.. Just found out Visa will be adding a $2+ (at least) surcharge per month to my vendor account.. (pending on volume) Then the PCI compliance fee to be done by 4/29 (again for the merchant account).. or another $20 per month.. Between ammo and parts.. you should have already ordered most basic replacment/wear items.. and AMMO.. as the summer will be dry... especially for the AMMO..

I was going to rant.. but not worth the finger pain I'd end up with.. Imagine if he had AP ammo in the trunk...

Paying the contractor tommorrow via debit.. $5590.. Then next is the plane tickets and hotel reservations..

I own the 11 acres outright.. and taxes are $35/year right now.. If I go with solar power, my only expense would be food, water, & cell service..

I've got a ULINE and SETON book here.. hmm.. and an open account.. I'm going basic No Trespassing in english/spanish to just to be legit if something were to go south while I'm there.. Either shipping or taking my little AR with me with the camo paint job also.. and 200 rounds of ammo..

I might get a few of them ^ ^ ^ Thinking razor wire in shallow ditches personally.. with those 12ga blank trip wires..

For those that don't know I am trying to relocate to TX by the end of the year.. I have 11 acres.. this is about 1/2 of it.. its 535' wide x 905' long total.. The low side where the truck is at in Pic #1.. Looking NORTH from that same corner.. by the road looking TO the ridge line in Pic #1.. I have just got my quote on my 12 x 24 cabin shell.. and delivery is set for April 17 or 18th. I'm going with a gambrel roof so I can have a 5' loft up top.. its going to be 2"x4" on 16" centers.. No worries, what I am ordering has a double TOP cap.. and will have 2x6 or 2x8 rafters.. Anyway, I thought I'd share.. Super stoked.. now off to get airline and SUV rental pricing..

Some BCM barrels that supposed to be 14.5" may/are actually the 14.7" flavor.. Paul from BCM finally replied back today (on another forum) with an answer and said hes working to get 14.6" as his companies NORM form his supplier.. he's had issues with end-users using brake/FH with no crush washers and just peel washers, or no washers and has heard many a story.. and thinks 14.6" would help alleviate this issue.. My BCM 14.5" BFH Middy I got last September I think is 14.7" because with the YHM Comp/Brake I have pin/welded it comes to 16 3/8"... again this is hit/miss type stuff and won't truly affect most of us in NJ unless you got an SBR or your just iffy about 0.2". Note the bags the barrels come in are usually marked 14.5" and in-fact are.. I've had some PSA barrels in the same 'yellow' bag that say 14.7 on them.. which gives some possible further validation that FN supplies both.. (though this is speculation by me)..

Parts are also getting to be a PITA too.. no parts = no uppers which = I had a conversation today wiith another dealer and agree the MFG's are backed up.. Getting quotes of 5 weeks (for LMT BCG's) to 4 months (for LARS stuffs).. Spikes is still not showing much of anything on there site available.. which is killing AIM and others that normally would stock them.

UPDATE.. More range time today.. 120 rounds of Wolf WPA 55gr HP. then 10 rounds of PMC Bronze 55gr.. 50 yards with the MBUS.. the higher ones are before adjustment down.. as you can see.. Heres 100 yards with the MBUS set.. still 1 1/2" to the left and about 1 1/2" high after adjustment.. but MOD..
