  1. @Mrs. Peel John Petrolino is a CNJFO Life Member, Merchant Marine Officer, writer & author. He's been published in Ammoland before many times. He joined our Communications Committee a while ago, and reports to Theresa Inacker & I. Petrolino puts skin in the game too! Sick with a cold, he showed up anyway to Raritan Center Expo Hall in Edison (he lives near Bricktown) to help set-up CNJFO's booth at last month's Outdoor Show. I wish I had a hundred more just like him! Here's the Bio I wrote for his first article on CNJFO's Black Wire Blog: EDITOR's NOTE: John Petrolino is a US Merchant Marine Officer, writer, and NRA certified pistol, rifle and shotgun instructor living under and working to change New Jersey’s draconian and unconstitutional gun laws. Petrolino is a CNJFO member, has a following on other media outlets and has attended rallies & other 2A events. This piece is his first for Black Wire Media and we hereby welcome him to our freelance staff. We hope you find his writing entertaining, concise, thought-provoking and timely on all subjects firearms related. You can find him on twitter at @johnpetrolino HERE IS THE LINK TO HIS 12-07-19 ARTICLE THAT WAS FIRST PUBLISHED ON CNJFO'S FACEBOOK PAGE: https://www.cnjfo.com/news/8633605 NOTE: THE LINK ABOVE IS FOR THE CNJFO BLACK WIRE BLOG! Petrolino's volunteer work for us includes capturing our legacy articles & assigning each one its' own page on our CNJFO website at: https://www.cnjfo.com/News . So by clicking on the .com/News link in this paragraph you can read everything we post on Facebook WITHOUT HAVING TO OMFG EVER GO ONTO FACEBOOK! Enjoy! Rosey Got an itch & wanna write sumthin' YET?
  2. What should you do? You ordered it, you paid for it, now go pick it up! I'm not even gonna ASK WHY you started this fiasco in the first place if you still reside in both dwellings (as you mentioned in one of the thread posts above)... Blind people can own gun collections. Blind people aren't the victim of no-knock Police raids to seize firearms. A DL is NOT required to buy guns at a FFL. Any recognized government ID will do fine since no law exists that says only those that passed a driving test can own, transport, possess or use firearms (including hand guns btw). Technically an urbanite who doesn't own a vehicle (or hold a DL) could transport an UNLOADED hand gun in a securely tied packed of butcher's paper & bakery string on a city bus, in a cab or Uber, etc. to use it at a gun range. A Pennsy resident can move to Joisey with a 200 hand gun collection and as long as there aren't "Tech Nines", NFA's and anything else Jersey considers verboten, you're GTG. NO papers needed, no mandatory reporting. Since you didn't say you SURRENDERED YOUR YELLOW CARD when changing your address to South Bound Brook, I can therefore ASSUME you still have same with your Englishtown address, correct? So WHERE do you wanna VOTE? Englishtown (Marlboro/Manalapan) or South Bound Brook? Pick one & stick with it. In the meantime, get your permits & go shoppin' Take your Yellow Card you didn't surrender, along with your completed P2P's that you're going to pick up in the Po-Po records bureau for your Englishtown address, and go buy the hand guns you want. There is no limit to the number of residences you may own or live in, and there is no law (as far as NJ-2C Statutes for firearms) indicating the words or phrases, "permanent, voting, ownership, renting, leasing, etc., etc.", being required to call it a NJ residence as far as firearms are concerned. You could flop on @Mrs. Peel's couch! In fact, there's no law (as far as firearms is concerned) specifying how many months, weeks, days or minutes you must reside in a dwelling for it to be considered a residence. Only when it comes to voting & paying taxes does a time "suggestion" come into play. Millionaires have these "residence problems" all the time. Only they don't consider it a problem. They just figure out what district their vote means the most in and then change their VOTING address to THAT. There's a ton of hardware that gets schlepped down the Parkway every time a Bergen Co. "resident" drives to their shore house in Rumson or LBI. And they show-up with their hardware at gun ranges & clubs all over the map Hope I shed some light on this for ya! Thanks Peel for the tag! 3. Sooooooooo, a few things: IANAL RTSP is listed as your "Home Range". They rent hand guns. So stop-in after work to pew-pew on the same model gun & let them clean it. You'll still have the muscle memory from the SAME gun. Don't advertise your intentions on a gun forum. Do whatcha need to do & be comfortable in your own skin doing it. Take "growacet". Learn the difference between FOPA Rules for interstate transport and NJ rules for intra-state transportation. Never look at the actual NJ gun laws. They're deliberately written to confuse & use wood pulp. Read your exemptions & exceptions! Brush-up on your HS English prior to reading NJ's exceptions & exemptions. Punctuation changes meaning. Like having a "securely tied package" on your front seat for instance... All firearms in NJ start out being ILLEGAL and therefore only exist in the hands of us serfs thru the use of exceptions & exemptions. Do not look for permission to do something in NJ gun law. It's like asking permission to breathe air. Remember that NJF&W game laws also cover use, possession & transportation of firearms, and a $27.50 license buys you more rights! 4. It's an Op-Ed (OPINION EDITORIAL), so it doesn't need a bottom line. It also means I'm allowed to RANT. Keep in mind I write for a national & sometimes even an international audience that needs educated on how things are here... Oh, thanks for responding. Everyone else just lurks, lol! ~R
  5. It was raining & dark and I had to bring a LOT of stuff inside thru the double doors, so I didn't stop to check out vehicles in the parking lot. If I saw a classic muscle car, an ambulance or a Fleetwood Caddy WITH FINS (like the '63 my Dad had) I MIGHT have noticed it, otherwise I was more worried about gettin' my stuff wet...
  6. CNJFO's INACKER A HIT AT THE WELL ARMED WOMAN! NJ ALL-FEMALE SHOOTING GROUP ENJOYED 2A TALK! by Black Wire Media Friday Feb. 7, 2020 www.cnjfo.com/join-us The Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution came alive as CNJFO's Communications Director, Theresa Inacker, enthralled the crowd at last night's The Well Armed Woman Jersey Shore OC Chapter meeting held at the Garden State Shooting Center in Lakewood, NJ. Using her extensive notes, vast subject knowledge as a member of the U.S. Supreme Court Bar, and her own firearms knowledge as a victim of NJ's scheme of attempted back-door gun-grabs and unconstitutional gun law, Inacker's presentation covered a highlight summary of several former & pending 2nd Amendment cases going back to the famous Heller decision of 2008. TWAW chapter leader & CNJFO volunteer for our Youth Day at the Range, Heidi Bergmann-Schoch introduced Theresa to her members. Inacker's lecture was very well received as the enlightened audience enjoyed hearing about how her friend Dick Heller won his landmark case which set the stage for all future 2A Supreme Court cases. Keeping her highlights of the technical subject matter easy to grasp, Inacker then touched on several subsequent cases, including the Rogers carry case brought by the Association of New Jersey Rifle & Pistol Clubs and NY State Rifle & Pistol Association's transport case (which already saw oral argument at SCOTUS). Scanning the well-publicized 2nd Amendment Cheeseman case documents being passed through the room, gifted to the Coalition by SCOTUS Petitioner, 2A Heavy-Lifter & NJ resident Mark Cheeseman, TWAW members responded with multiple questions, and Inacker gave poignant answers. She also covered the Coalition's role in helping pay for the Cheeseman 2nd Amendment case through CNJFO's matching funds campaign which raised over $11,000 toward the filings. The Cheeseman case #19-27 is one of several "On-Hold" at the U.S. Supreme Court. Inacker's leadership roles as both CNJFO's Communications Director & The D.C. Project's NJ Ambassador were explored, and she also asked for female volunteers to assist her in developing a NJ-based D.C. Project group that will visit NJ legislators at our state capitol. Asking for volunteers to step-up and do committee work with the Coalition, Inacker chatted about CNJFO needing a picnic committee chair and other ways of helping including JOINING the organization. "Lots of ways to help us & have FUN doing it" Inacker said. Upon conclusion of the Q&A, CNJFO Vice President Dave "Rosey" Rosenthal then conducted a FREE door prize raffle using the Second Amendment Foundation's two new paperbacks gifted to the Coalition by CNJFO sponsor & SAF founder Alan Gottlieb, hats from platinum sponsors NRA and Henry Repeating Arms, a couple D-Lead Wipe towelette bottles and our popular "Charlie-the-Perp" shooting targets. Additional "Charlie" targets got pumped full of holes at the informal range session which followed the meeting, with several TWAW members joining Inacker and Rosenthal in Garden State Shooting Center's friendly range. Every Thursday is "Ladies Night" and features specials on rentals & ammo too. The Coalition proudly tendered several new applications for membership last night (thanks to all), and reminds everyone that online registration is available 24 hours at: www.cnjfo.com/join-us. Our online store can be reached at: www.cnjfo.com/Store where you'll find hats, shirts, Charlie-the-Perp targets & MORE! Future plans are underway for Inacker to continue her tour of New Jersey spreading our 2nd Amendment message, so watch for news of an appearance near you. CNJFO wishes to thank everyone for attending last night's lecture, especially TWAW Chapter leader Heidi Bergmann-Schoch, and TWAW Range Officers & CNJFO members Pete Beringer and Grant Gallagher. For more info on TWAW Jersey Shore OC Chapter, go to: https://www.facebook.com/TWAWJerseyShoreOC/ or visit TWAW website at: https://twawshootingchapters.org/…/nj-gun-training-for-women We're taking this Road Show all over NJ. Will YOUR range host it? Stop lurkin' & start communicatin' cause I'm not gettin' any younger, lol! Rosey
  7. @Mrs. Peel Here's the original story, complete with bio for Inacker. If I could clone her & harness her brains & determination we'd already have carry & 30 round standard capacity mags back! You are So RIGHT Ann! I've been saying it for YEARS! WOMEN & KIDS WILL SAVE THE 2ND AMENDMENT! My job, as I see it, is to keep my head out of my ass, my ego under control, and get as many women & kids behind the trigger as possible! Here now the story that becomes the "caption" with a Facebook "share". ENJOY: INACKER TO SPEAK AT WOMEN's SHOOTING CLUB! WELL ARMED WOMAN CHAPTER SEEKS MEMBERS! by Black Wire Media Sunday Feb. 2, 2020 www.cnjfo.com/join-us Theresa Inacker, Communications Director here at the Coalition of New Jersey Firearm Owners and the NJ Ambassador of The DC Project, has been invited to speak at the Thursday February 6th meeting of The Well Armed Woman Jersey Shore OC Chapter, held at Garden State Shooting Center (the groups host range) in Lakewood, NJ. The 6:30pm meeting is OPEN TO ANY WOMAN wishing to attend, as this TWAW chapter (one of five in NJ), headed by Chapter Leaders & Heidi Bergmann-Schoch & Jill Dillner, is seeking to expand their membership. TWAW is the official Host for this dynamic, history-making presentation, as it's the first time TWAW has asked a CNJFO Executive Committee member to speak, and Inacker is thrilled to bring her 2A message to them. Registration for the meeting is FREE and is a MUST! It's limited to the first (13) WOMEN that REGISTER HERE: www.cnjfo.com/event-3721776 . As seating is capped due to prior registration of TWAW chapter members, we ask that only those that CAN attend reserve a seat! AFTER THE MEETING IS WHEN THE FUN STARTS! From Chapter co-Leader Heidi Bergmann-Schoch: "We will not have an organized shoot after the meeting that night HOWEVER we will have some gals on the range and it is usually a slow night. Thursday night is Ladies night, so anyone wishing to shoot can rent a lane inexpensively along with specials on ammo and gun rental." Heidi has also arranged for several certified Instructor-volunteers to be on-hand should someone new to firearms wish to experience a safe & friendly range session oozing with TWAW camaraderie! Please join our Theresa ON THE FIRING LINE to receive a CNJFO "Charlie-the-Perp" target as our gift to you for coming! BACKGROUND: Inacker is a 2nd Amendment force of nature, prolific writer on all issues 2A, and is just back from Richmond, Virginia, where she & approx. 50,000 2A Patriots stood-up to the grossly unconstitutional laws proposed by Virginia's Governor Ralph Northam. Her talk will cover a full range of 2A subjects with emphasis on the U.S. Constitution and SCOTUS in particular. She'll explain her volunteer position with CNJFO, and provide info on The DC Project as its' New Jersey Ambassador. The DC Project is a group of 50 women---one from each state---that marches on Washington every summer pounding on the doors of our elected Representatives & US Senators to inform them that women have the right of self defense and to choose the tools necessary to ensure it. Inacker is currently seeking volunteers to do DC Project style "visits" with NJ Legislators. Wearing many hats, Inacker is an attorney, Mom, AR-15 sporting rifle owner, target shooter, pheasant hunter, former Editor of the Seton Hall Constitutional Law Journal and has been admitted to the US Supreme Court Bar. As such she's represented us on broadcast TV, at rallies, and speaking engagements throughout NJ. We congratulate TWAW and Theresa for putting this dynamic program together!
  8. Looking for permission to do something legally with a gun is like asking permission to breathe AIR. Laws are written to tell ya what NOT to do & how much time ya get if ya do it anyway, get caught & are found guilty. Laws aren't written to say it's OK. The law is NOT your Mommy! Lawyers will always be too careful, and err on the side of caution. Action Shooters on the other hand, after a match is over, get together & go out to Jersey Diners with their shit locked in the trunk Ask me no questions I tell you no lies
  9. Shorts will work fine, and so will CB caps, manually cycled of course. Where semi's tend to not chamber is using .22 Shot shell cartridges. They just don't like the nose on them things. Back in the day, Marlin, Remington & Winchester all made pump action .22's marked on the barrel, ".22 Shorts, Longs, or Long Rifle cartridges". They all fed interchangeably in gun that are now 100 years old!
  10. I've been doing it "MY way" for over 20 years of action shooting. So glad Brett Bloom was able to take our questions back from NJSAFECON and institute a formal update at NJSP Firearms Bureau to coincide with what those in-the-know have been doing for YEARS... ~R
  11. PUBLIC INVITED TO WELL ARMED WOMAN OPEN HOUSE 2-6-20! COME HEAR INACKER ON MAG BAN BRIEF & SHOOT WITH HER! by Black Wire Media Tues. Feb. 4, 2020 www.cnjfo.com/join-us Calling all WOMEN looking to learn more about firearms usage! CNJFO Communications Director & NJ's Ambassador to The DC Project, Theresa Inacker, will be giving a FREE talk at The Well Armed Woman Jersey Shore OC Chapter meeting being held this Thursday 2-6-20 at 6:30pm at Garden State Shooting Center in Lakewood, NJ. Inacker will cover the latest news on ANJRPC's mag ban case, her roles with the Coalition and The DC Project, and how NJ gun law is so UNCONSTITUTIONAL! This FREE lecture OPEN TO THE PUBLIC is for WOMEN ONLY and will be followed by a supervised shooting session WITH INACKER that's available at Ladies Night rates for a shooting lane & ammo! Inacker is bringing her Smith & Wesson M&P .22 to share with everyone, so bring your ear & eye protection (we'll have extras for NEW SHOOTERS)! NO shooting experience is necessary---NRA Instructors will be in the Range volunteering for TWAW to ensure a fun & SAFE range experience for first-timers & the experienced alike! CNJFO is supplying a "Charlie-the-Perp" target to each female shooter as our gift for attending. We're also giving away a FREE 1-Year membership! 12. 8:45 am SHARP on 2nd Sunday of every month is the "Sign-Up & Safety Check" held at the club's indoor range at 95 Maple Street in Old Bridge, NJ 08857. Bring a checkbook or $342 CASH (6 months dues & 1/2 of your $300 initiation fee), a pistol .45 ACP or smaller (NO magnum ammo---but .38's in a .357 frame are FINE), your NRA card, and a smile. The membership committee gives you a membership packet containing your Observation & Participation Form (for Probies), our bylaws, tells you what the rules are for both indoor & outdoor ranges, and teaches you how to throw switches to control HVAC & lights. Then you go inside the indoor range & prove competency (don't hit walls, floor or ceiling, lol), then out to the outdoor range for an intro into what you're expected to do there. It's fun & easy. They just want you to be SAFE! Rosey
  13. Hey Bud, I think I can help! If you can be satisfied just shooting pistol, rifle & scattergun leagues, for just $20 per "ride" (per league visit) you can shoot at Old Bridge w/o paying ANY dues & be under ZERO obligation for work hours...I'm a discipline chair (ride operator, lol). If you want to come & go as you please on your own schedule, including at ZERO DARK THIRTY for indoor hand gun calibers, then joining a private club (Old Bridge or Central Jersey) is whatcha wanna do. CJ has a $600 initiation fee and Old Bridge is just half that ($300). Commercial ranges at Lakewood (Garden State Shooting Center) & Brick (Sure Shot) allow walk-ins, but then you may need someone to buddy with you (since you're male) depending on range rules since suicides have happened at commercial ranges. So check policies PRIOR to just showing-up without a NJFPID card! I'm at your service, so if you wanna chat to bounce questions & ideas off me, just shoot me a PM so we can exchange phone numbers. Rosey
  14. @Zeke Well some say plants have feelin's so I eat both to piss off everybody! Tell ya what...if you can't shoot your hog, I'll "murder" it for ya; all you gots ta do is PAY for the hog, butcherin' & some raffle tixx. Last Sunday I raffled-off a certificate for an AR lower worth $120! You want IN? Or maybe a friend of yours? Cause @Ray Ray ain't sharin'
  15. https://www.cnjfo.com/news/8705230?fbclid=IwAR2NKWSEcKEAXQqGnjWG6-fYHYBv0ligqze-uqYn5ClFxh3yyB6JZnPXAc8 My latest Black Wire Media article on Justifiable Need published just today! And the https://www.cnjfo.com/news link to my Black Wire Blog. A treasure trove of everything you've been missing! Enjoy! Rosey
  16. @Ray Ray Here's a pic I just found from the Hunt (it's not in my story). Armen with his Henry .44 Mag lever & his harvest. One & DONE right between the eyes! That lever is a real "brush-buster" too!
  17. Where? Why right back to the sales personnel that treated them RIGHT the first time! Sales is all about building relationships. Your example above is excellent in that regard and further proves my points. I've actually had customers come to me that were recommended by FOLKS THAT DIDN'T HIRE ME because I was just outside their price range. These same prospects kept telling their friends "Horror Stories" of piss-poor customer service they received from the "cheaper guy" and were WARNING THEIR FRIENDS NOT TO CHEAP-OUT LIKE THEY DID! You simply can't buy that type of word-of-mouth advertising. These "non-clients" got a Christmas Card from me every year, and when another family member needed photography for a popular October Saturday, I got a credit card deposit OVER THE PHONE when they scheduled their appointment to pick out which package they wanted to buy. The DECISION of WHERE TO BUY was already made.... Relationships. A slice of pizza, a bottle of water on a hot day, a nice hot chocolate on a cold winter day. A firm handshake & look them in the eyes. Or in the case of a FFL, remembering YOU are looking for something hard-to-find, and when it comes in from an estate sale next week, next month or next year, the FFL you have a great RELATIONSHIP with calls you on the phone PRIOR to putting the item on display! Sales is RELATIONSHIPS!
  18. You & I seem to never quite hit it off. Perhaps I'm too ????? for you? Whatever. Your ignorance & arrogance shine through LOUD & CLEAR, as they have always... The subject is customer service. If almost every FFL pays around the same Net-Net for a pistola, what makes the buying experience worth a return trip? CUSTOMER SERVICE! What I did worked great, and the ladies LOVED IT! Don't look now but WOMEN are the fastest growing segment in the gun buying public. Being nice to them & providing them drinks & snacks along with a clean restroom makes credit card machines SING! "My time is so valuable I have plenty of it to piss people off & make myself look like a putz"-----xXxplosive
