Lets take a breather . If I was waiting for my first permit I would be excited and let down if I was not able to pick it up. On the other hand nj is screwed at this point. I would wait a week or so then goto the pd and ask for your permits

I would have politely siad " I got my own family to worry about" then I would recommend he conserves gas just like ur friend did. If he were a Long time friend I would invite him to stay with us

I just got off the phone with the national hurricane center in Florida.. there answer is when the eye of sandy hit the shore on NJ at 8pm it was not a hurricane it was a tropical cyclone, Before it hit land it was a full blown hurricane. His exactly words were we are not going to get in the middle of the insurance situation again... But he is sure Gov Christy will be fighting for NJ residents to classify it as a cyclone hence our insurance cannot rape us on the deductibles.

So no one seems to know how Sandy was classified.... Might be something not important to most but if you have any damage to your home it can mean the difference between a standard damage deductible or a Huge Hurricane Deductible.

That's just one more reason NJ should not control NICS. we should use the national system like most other states. Oh wait then NJ cant get their 15 bucks

Most people who think about Prepping only think of Food, water and defense.. 1 thing allot of us forget about is medical care. Without proper medical services anyone of us can die from a small cut that gets infected. Since hygiene would be an issue during a "SHTF" situation i would recommend getting a Home Cure book like the ones our parents had it would not be a bad idea to get herbal remedy books and lots of alcohol pads to clean any open cuts etc etc. This being said i have done nothing i mentioned above but if your preparing might as well do it right

I would take the kids and leave the wife home to protect the firearms.
