  1. Thats a tough price range even used. AR's have gone up a little bit. Even buying seperate lowers and uppers you could maybe do at 700ish?
  2. I have had 2 of these and sold one. I love them and have never let me down. I have had my current one for about 8 years. http://www.bushmaster.com/catalog_xm15_PCWA3X_14M4IZ.asp
  3. Take into account how many you may plan on building. If you are only building 1 and thats it you will probably get some of your money back if you sell the ar15 tool in the future. vlad is right. You wont need the vise and block unless you are mounting your own barrel. Me and him see eye to eye on most AR related topics we just get there in different ways. Good quality parts even if they cost more are always the best way to go.
  4. Taking into account a couple things...To build you need a couple tools not expensive ones but you need them. You need a sturdy bench vise and blocks to complete a build from scratch and an ar15 aromorers tool. Best bet is to get with anyone of the FFL's here using a price request and see what they are running. I know PK90 is a good one. Here are some websites: www.palmettostatearmory.com www.del-ton.com www.bushmaster.com/index.asp just to name a few. Hope this helps.
  5. Just wondering why NJGF is your favorite or most visited gun forum on the internet. I enjoy it because for the most part we are all in the same boat living in NJ. From the short time I have been a member and the limited number of topics or posts I have written 99% of the time people are respectful of others opinions. For the most part there are no forum ganstas, that will talk alot of trash. I like that. Some other boards that I have been a member for for almost 10 years, thats all there is and I couldnt take it anymore so I did a google search of NJ gun forums and this popped up. Although I havent used it yet or have become a premier member(planning to soon) I like how the marketplace is run and for the most part things sell rather quickly and are reasonably priced. The other added bonus we all live in the state and can meet and inspect as opposed to looking at pictures and hoping that what we spent our money on is actually what we are getting. Lastly I think for the most part the Vendors and FFL's do a great job at trying to satisfy our gun needs with reasonable prices and get back in a timley manner on all requests. I say most part because of the one vendor who keeps telling me that the Kel-Tec Sub2000K is illegal in NJ. Ohh well, shame on them. All in all great job to everyone involved and keep up the good work. Respectfully Submitted, Rick

    Handgun help

Ruger MKIII IMO is the way to go.
  7. Taken from a website "Canned food has a shelf life of at least two years from the date of processing. Canned food retains its safety and nutritional value well beyond two years, but it may have some variation in quality, such as a change of color and texture. Canning is a high-heat process that renders the food commercially sterile. Food safety is not an issue in products kept on the shelf or in the pantry for long periods of time. In fact, canned food has an almost indefinite shelf life at moderate temperatures (75° F and below). Canned food as old as 100 years has been found in sunken ships and it is still microbiologically safe! We don't recommend keeping canned food for 100 years, but if the can is intact, not dented or bulging, it is edible." However I do rotate stock.
  8. I have used the herters .223 and 7.62x39 and .308 come to think of it. It all runs just fine.
  9. I think anyone who is venturing just needs to go out and shoot a crap load of guns and see which one works best for them. I'm pretty much stuck with HK USP for a while until my dept changes(dont see happening). I like the HK platform and shoot it well enought to qualify as an instructor at least 3 times a year. But as an off duty I have tried the HK compact(which I really liked) but I bought a tan frame back in the day and didnt like it very much---now I am kicking my self, and the Sig 229r DAK. For some reason my love affair with the G19 always sucked me back in.
  10. They just had a can can sale at ShopRite!!! I killed it. Like mags you can never have enough ammo or canned goods.
  11. It looks good. I like SA XD so much that my wife has one for the house. She shoots it well and is comfortable with it. She didnt like the Glock. It all comes down to what you shoot the best and are comfortable with. She was with that.
  12. Just checked the specs...its about the same size of the G36 however the 36 is lighter. I dont think that the SA XDs weighing more is a huge factor. Maybe a little more weight is a good thing.
  13. Interesting little gun they have there. I like it.
  14. What options would you suggest. I think that if they came out with a Slimline 9 or 40 it would destroy the market. I dont think we will ever see a carbine, but I may be wrong about that.
  15. Well put also...But I have issue with your outdated comment. I dont think the design is outdated, I think the design was so innovative, it does not and did not need to be changed. A company that almost put smith out of business with law enforcement, and springfield armory had to adopt a croation design to stay afloat. Beretta is only holding on because of the militarys backwards thinking. Now with that being said I like the XD series, so much that I own one and I own a 92FS. I am not soo much a fan of the M&P, and I carry HK on-duty, which is a great gun, but carrying, using, shooting all of these guns in qualification and scenario shooting I choose Glock.
  16. Glock 19---Best Combat Handgun Ever!!! 1911 Platform I have a Kimber...But Colt or S/A should be OK also Ruger MKIII---Just to have
  17. Congrats that is my next purchase this year a Gen3 23...Happy shootin

    Kel-Tec KSG

Has anyone picked one up? Thinking of selling my Saiga 12 to aquire one....
  19. I try and stick to like minded things. I have my 19 and 26 because the 26 with take the 17 and 19 mags, so its like having more. When I pick up the 23 I feel like I already have 15, 15 round mags for it. I try and keep it simple. When I had my SUB2000 I had it take the G17 mags and at that time I had a bunch, same when I had my Beretta Storm CX4 it took my 92FS mags. Some great warrior said, always think tactically.
  20. I have 3 15 round AnA 15 round specials that run flawlessly and 1 bushy 10 rounder for the AR's
  21. Nah, I pick up a few here and there when they are on sale. CDNNinvestments is always good and cheaperthandirt. I also have bought alot from 44mag.com. A few here and there has turned into alot over the years.
