If your more up north peaquest has a lot of slammers up there.
  21. I've been bow hunting a long time and the one piece of advice I can give is enjoy the hunt more then the harvest ,if not you will lose interest real fast ( I DID ) when I first started out . much like yourself I had to learn on my own since no family member hunted, The wind is you friend and worst enemy , always try to set your stand so your scent don't blow across the trail were you think deer will come from , although the usually come from a way you would least expect , don't dress at home hop in the truck get gas all that scent you take in the woods SCENT IS YOUR WORST OF ALL ENEMY. Dress at your truck put on the least amount of cloths walk to you stand finish dressing . you'll sweat less . Trail cams help knowing what deer are in your area , don't overlook small pieces of woods everyone else overlooks a lot of times good deer will be in there , use other hunters to your advantage if you hunt public land more often the not most guys only want to walk so far to there stand . you get in early and go farther they will bump the deer to you. . Sitting all day by yourself is tough but your chances go up ten fold . John
  22. Hey All. So this past weekend I went to do a little rifle shooting at CJRPC and seen they had the steel matches going on so I decided to watch for a bit and seem like a lot of fun so right now I own a m&p shield in 9mm and a Springfield operator in 45 so my question is . is the 45 to much and the compact to small . or does it really not matter. John
  23. Same thing happened to me BS restraining order and was dismissed , But I have my FID prior and when I apply for permits the TRO does come up and when the officer runs a check he sees it was dismissed and grants my permits I don't know how it works with applying for a FID but I would think it would be the same.
  24. Good luck , I just joined last month , money well spent . John
