I attended many years ago and I thought it was great, then again it was my first and only show. But I did buy ammo for my hand gun and shot gun at a great price.

Hi everyone, my name is Dino I am new to this board but I had the pleasure of meeting some of you at the OBRPC on MLK day this past Monday and it was an awesome experience. I started this posting to let you guys know that there will be a gun show this weekend in Allentown,Pa http://www.gunshows-usa.com/penn.htm I was going to head over from central NJ on Saturday morning at about 9:30 and I figure it will take about 90 min to get their. If anyone wants to meet up somewhere on 78 then let me know. The weather looks a little bleak but I hope the forecast gets better by Saturday.

I do not know. I myself have to do the same thing. I recently moved and I need to update my NJFPIC too. I am hoping its a painless procedure but I have to wait for my new drivers license stickers to come in the mail first so I will keep you posted.

If you go to a New Jersey Motor Vehicle center they will change you $10 (IIRC) at the counter, if you use the online link that someone posted previously then its free. You will receive a sticker that goes on the back of your existing drivers license. I do not mean to high jack this thread but I have been living in my home for about a year and I wanted to ask if I had to go to my new local police dept and transfer my handgun permit? I will assume that I do and that I have to obtain a new FPIC. Does anyone know what the change is for this transfer?

I have only fired this shotgun once and it was put away for about 15 years. The plastic at the end of the stock is cracked and the previous owner buggered one of the screws. If anyone from the Central NJ area is familiar with this type of "older" shotgun then let me know because I do not even know where to begin to break it down. I was going to attempt to clean as much as I can and bring it with me to the OBRPC meet this Monday.

Thanks hd2000fxdl, I see you are from Sayreville....I grew up their for a little while before I finished college and my parents still live in the same house. In my youth in I was in the US Navy (SeeBees) and it seemed we were shooting all the time, so much that I got sick of it (1911's, AR's/A203's that make really big booms and some 9mm. Can I get the address from the Old Bridge Rifle Club website? If you maybe wanted to meet at the McDonalds or the Bridgeway diner before then let me know.

As mentioned before I only have a hand gun...is 100 rounds enough? Perhaps I should buy another box?

Sorry if this is a noob question but what type of steel do you bring? Do you use it as a traget?

Hey NJ ZED, Can one buy ammo and targets at the range or should I bring own? I have never been their before. Is anyone going to stop for breakfast in the morning before the range. I am definitely up for the earlier the better. -Dino

Hey John, sounds like fun. I only own a few hand guns so I would only be interested in the pistol range.

6mm/25.4= 0.236, that would be closer to a 1/4" than 1/5"

Is this for skeet shooting? What size(s) is bird shot?

Hello fellow hoplolooligists! I am new the board and I have been a gun owner for a long time but like my guitars they have rarely seen the light of day. I was hoping to change that in 2012 and in the near future purchase a AR type rifle. Are there any group shooting events ever planned in the area? I was considering joining Range-14 since I hate anything indoors. I saw the posting for the social gathering at "The Rock", what is usually the turn out for that? -Dino
