  3. That's one thing I miss about my time n Alabama. i used to keep a M1 carbine with a 30 round mag of soft points in my trunk. I remember one time I pulled up in front of the mall and I open the trunk to pull out some bags that I needed to return a cop drove past me stopped and got out the car looked at my trunk that was open and asked "is that an original m1 carbine do you mind if I see it" there was no freaking out about me potentially being a mall shooter or anything like that because it was quite common for people to carry firearms. we ended up having about a 15 minute discussion on the penetration, velocity and general "damage" a 30 carbine round can do. I ended up having to sell that carbine to my friend when I moved back to New Jersey because its not Jersey legal by name. Tangent: the most depressing thing is that the m1 carbine in its original format is the definition of a New Jersey legal rifle because it had no pistol grip it had no flash hider it has a 15 round magazines standard and it originally only had a bayonet mount and many models did away with the band at Mount as well politicians in New Jersey probably would have been so happy knowing that it isn't as powerful as a high powered rifle cartridge such as for the .308 with .223. And it is still illegal by name. Depressing. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  4. You're using 2 3/4 in shotshells right? And it should be fine. I'd say run it through a course of high brass and low brass and see if it fails to feed Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  5. It's a decent gun. As stated earlier the change in manual of arms is a BIG deal especially if you intend this to be more than a fun range toy. Having had some trigger time on it I gotta say the stock Tavor trigger is poopoo. Super mushy no noticeable take up and non tactile reset. The Timney aftermarket trigger does wonders for it. 6. I've shot a couple. And as crazy as It sounds... I kinda like the S2K better.
  7. I honestly can't wait to find a decent priced S2K in 9mm. I used to own the .40 cal version. And out of a 16.1 in barrel those rounds were coming out screaming hot. I sold it and I instantly regretted it but a good friend and his wife were being threatened at by the girls ex boyfriend and she was looking for a cheap home defense weapon so I sold it to him at price I bought it at now I'm in the market to pick up a9 millimeter version for the sake of ammo commonality with the vast majority of my handguns. I'm glad that Kel Tec has upgraded the facilities and they're going to be making more of new gen Twos hopefully I can pick one of those up but if not I'm hoping that the gen 1 price will come down and I will be able to pick one up at a better deal Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  8. I've had Aimpoint M68s Irons and Acogs on my issued M4s. Granted that the M68 were already in use before I was issued my M4, but I've seen the emitter dying out with every shot (replaced battery) one had moisture in the "tube" and even with my glasses to fix my astigmatism the dot looked like a smeared ink dot. Then again the next aimpoint I had was a solid rock and worked reliably. definitely loved the ACOG more during my time in my time with HHC's Reconnaissance Platoon. Obviously they are two different optic platforms so this is very apples to oranges but from my experience most of my shooters prefer ACOG over the Aimpoint. Now a couple of my Ranger buddies did have Eotechs on their issued weapons, but they also have a much higher budget and get to buy all sorts of cool guy gear haha Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

To keep it at constant on all I need to do is depress the button in the back all the way down till it clicks. Half pressure turns it on until i release said pressure. After looking at my set i realized that the head of the flash light lays flush to the rail. So it's just as stable and supported either way. I chose to run it backwards....well Cus I have small hands.

Just added a surefire G2X tactical light on a HSP thorntail mount to round off this project. And yes I know the HSP mount is backwards. I prefer it that way. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

A couple times so far. The first two was to Do a battlesight zero on the Ironsights and the Eotech and the second time around was to test the drop in trigger against hard NATO Primers, which it dented with authority. I ran it relatively hard since then. Some shoot&move drills with a couple PA infantry guys I know.i think it totalled to ~550 down range so far. Not FTF or FTE Yet. I need to do a proper range report for yall but last I checked the groups were just about 1 Moa at 100m. I think I could have done better but I was just getting used to the new trigger Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

  24. +1000 to what vlad said. I run just enough rail on mine to keep my part on it and i just used sections of ladder rail on my 12 o'clock position rail to protect it from getting jacked up Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  25. You know... You could run a shortened bike chain through it. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
