What raz-0 said. If budget is an issue and you are learning/practicing the fundamentals. In my case, back in 2006,I really wanted a 22lr and a 9mm, I only had the budget for 1 pistol so I picked a 9mm. I dry fired the heck out of it. practicing stance, grip, sight alignment and trigger squeeze. Borrowed books from the library to read on fundamentals and techniques. By the time I found time to get to the range (months after), I had a good grip on the fundamentals that I even surprised myself when I fired the pistol for the first time. I kept up with the dry fire, going to the range rarely, just to make sure the gun is functional. If you dry fire, with the same pistol, focusing on the fundamentals, you can get to a point when you can select a target across the room like the coffee pot, close your eyes, draw, aim and squeeze and open your eyes to find out that the pot would have been holed if the gun had a loaded magazine for real. Of course, practice common sense gun safety, make sure, very sure that the gun is unloaded. Now that I have the funds to buy the 22, I don't really have the urge since I can shoot my one and only pistol very well. I still do dry fire, everytime I open the safe. Again, practicing common sense gun safety at all times I have it on my possession.

Active Self Protection, I him find to be a very good teacher on why situational awareness is very important. A lot of his videos were situations in Brazil, but still very applicable. He gives skull numbing videos on the potential of dangerous people and situations that may arise as folks go about their daily routine. -

An hour apart is how I did it in Clinton WMA. They only have the class do the field test for shotgun , that also qualifies for the rifle permit. -

Everything is quiet now. Hopefully the whole thing is resolved with no injury to the good guys. -

I'd rather not. I imagine they have their hands full since I saw flashing lights heading in that direction earlier. -

More automatic fire. Sustained this time two bursts approx 15 shots each. -

I just heard more shots. Single this time about but continuous 4-5 shots at a time. About 20 shots so far. Sounds a little further or smaller caliber. -
Anybody heard automatic gunfire around 11:30 pm around Fords Corner/Raritan center? My wife and I were in bed when we heard it. About 30 - 40 rounds fired in total, only one firearm. Not like a back and forth type of shots, just one shooter.

This close... you just wring it's neck. Seriously, a 22 lr should work as long as you are patient enough to get them close to you for a head/neck shot. Used to shoot undomesticated chicken with .22 air rifle, iron sights. Wait till its really out in the open so you can see where it finally falls.

I guess I'll wait til they come to the piers. Thanks.
