  1. Unfotuneatly not me still have a crap load of yard stuff to do for BBQ in aug
  2. Why about a used high standard did they ever make a short barrel or browning buckmark they might have one. I don't know if either of these are what you are looking for but just throwing out some good 22's that haven't been mentioned
  3. Even though I should know better I looked at the prices in the flier and though this place was in jersey then looked at the website . Why can't we get prices like that so need to move out of this state
  4. At central jersey you are only allowed to do it in the pits and the gun has to ne cold until you get reeady to shoot it. No walking around the facility with a mag in the gun unless leo or concealed carry holder in nj
  5. I like your ideas they should start at the initial orientation cjrpc Has you shoot five shots at new member orientation even then I saw some peole that were a little shakeyayne instead of sitting there for an hour reading the rule book make people take safety briefing or shoot a fewest each under individual eye of a trainer
  6. I agree but i can see their point esp with the amount of new people coming into the club. They had to dq 3 people from static steel last weekend how the hell do you geta dq from static steeel for unsafe gun handeling. I dont think the rules have been updated for a few years so maybe its time
  7. Thanks guys as always appreciate the info
  8. Got the draw and fire badge tonight was told cannot be alone. Has to be someone with you or even on the next pit as long as there is someone close enough to respond in case you shoot yourself
  9. Pizza Bob anwsered the question best i was going to say the same thing
  10. Saw a used model 59 loooked gently used is 400 a fair price for this gun. It is the blued one not the stainless Mike Norris
  11. I agree with most of what you say the only thing I dont is the hammer fired sa. I think it is too hard in an emergency to try to cock the gun esp if the there is a bob tail on it. I would rather just go cond 1 and know all i have to do is throw the safty off and be ready for action. i actually feel if you are going to keeep the hammer down you are better to keep the chamber empty and rack the slide. its just my opinion but racking the slide is much easier then trying to cock a 1911 with a beavertail or duckbill which ever you waqnt to call it
  12. Springfield range officer loaded with the heavier of the the two critical defense .45 I think it's 185's
  13. Thanks for the help guys deffinitly gonna go try to find a 34 to shoot before I buy but with all your input it looks like that will be the gun I get
  14. Thanks if i cant find someone closer i will let you know and we can set something up.
  15. Thanks the use is right i could use it for .45 but you are too far north to make it worthwhile to burn the gas to get to you. Thanks anyway
  16. Any memebers of CJRPC have a 34/35 i could try out ill pay for ammo i could also guest you on if you live in the area.
  17. I have a .45 Springfield for single stack in uspsa it is just she a hungry monster and not cheap to feed. I am not going to stop shooting SS but would like to do other divisions. I also do t hand load do I am shooting 230 hardball which is slowing down my speed a little in steel I think the pf is at like 195
  18. I am thinking of getting a 9 or a 40 and I want to use it for uspsa steel and just general shooting. I want to know people's opinions of the glock and the xdm. I am leaning towards the nine and know either one I get will have to have the mags pinned. So here I my other question how much does it cost to get mags pinned and what dealers can do it. Also what might be a good price for the glock I know about how much I can get the xdm for. Thanks in advance Mikeythumbs
  19. Are you sure about the rule of havIng to have another person with you to draw and fire after you get your badge. I dont remeber reading that in the rules but could have missed it. Just wanted I know cause I am going to the bod meeting wenesday to get my badge
  20. What calibers are the red dot powder good for please Also where are you located
  21. I dont remeber where i read it but someone said "an unloaded gun might as well just be a club"
  22. I keep my 1911in cond 1in drawer next tO bed. As. Far as safety as soon as I'm done shooting a mag or evn just put gun down safety goes on just taught that way same if it's in the holster at matches at the line or not safety's on not that I use it as an excuse for bad handling just one more line of protection.
