The angles cut on the break match the lines on the x95.
-
Pic's to follow... FYI - the trigger pack is for sale unfired for $150.

This is the Break I used for those interested. Got it off EBay for $69. MECHFORCE ENFORCER MUZZLE BRAKE COMPENSATOR 1/2-28 TPI 5.56 / .223 W/ 4 VARIABLE TIMING CRUSH WASHERS https://www.mechforce-usa.com/collections/muzzle-brakes/products/mechforce-enforcer-muzzle-brake-compensator-1-2-28-tpi-5-56-223-w-free-crush-washer

I'm undecided still about the trigger... The stock trigger feels decent on the X95. Better then a stock AR mil spec trigger...With the original SAR 21 Tavors an aftermarket trigger was required... Timney make a drop in trigger... It is about $100 cheaper the the Tav-D or Geisley... May have to look into that.Model: Tim-680

They charged $260 to cut barrel and pin break and install lefty bolt/charging handle.... Expensive....yes!! He said the whole gun had to come apart to remove barrel...
-
It is finally done.. Picking the X95 up now.. Waiting for NICS to come back.. I Love the way the Break looks... I had the barrel cut down so it is 16.25" ... Their is no barrel even showing... I hope to get to the range this weekend... If i do i post a range report after... Very excited!!!!

I think the fact that you have the option to flip safety before release and cancel the second shot makes a difference in it not being a MG.
-
Not for sale... Long term storage for now... Maybe a couple of quick low budget builds... I've been looking at $199 complete uppers from 22modsforall.com...
-
Last night I picked up my 10 pack of Anderson $39 stripped lowers... The NICS / FFL Transfer fee averaged $16... So I was FFL to my Safe for $55 each... Franks Tackle and Field in Wanaque did the FFL Transfer.. $44 For the first Gun, $22 for the second and $11 each additional. Not a bad deal.... It did take us almost an hour to complete all the paper work....

That is what I got as well.. I hope to be able to use the tip to get a little more accuracy at distance... I picked up a cheap 3x magnifier.... If it works out I may get the Mepro m6 magnifier but it cost as much as the sight.... Going to have to really want it first. I hope to get it to the range next weekend.

I have done it 7-8 times since my original post in 2012.. Never an issue... Biggest concern is that the port authority police get called every time to take a look... Honestly I don't give it a second thought anymore. I'm a Florida resident now... I show my Florida concealed carry and Florida divers license and proof of my NJ address... I tell them I am traveling between residence... The process varies slightly each time but basically the same as I originally described...

So I call up the owner of 22modsforall.com. Home of the $199 upper. Apparently they use Anderson upper receivers and Bearcreek barrels. I am familiar with Anderson but not so much with Bearcreek.... The Bearcreek website sell 16" barrels for $79 so I gather then are and economy value brand...
-
I just picked up a Mepro M21...

Does anyone sell NJ compliant uppers for under $300? That may be cheaper in the long run?
-
This site 22mods4all.com offers 1/7, 1/8 and 1/9 barreled uppers for $199. I'll likely go with a 1/8. I just can't find any information on them. For that price I'm just looking for an everyday plinker....
-
Thanks for the info... Any thoughts on this $199 Upper... I'd be trading the front sight post for a generic keymod rail.
-
The Anderson upper is $258 The PSA is $209 Should I place any weight on pairing an Anderson Lower with an Anderson Upper as more of a premium build over over pairing Anderson and PSA as a mixed build... Especially for resale?
-
Any thoughts on the better value? I plan to pair it with and Anderson Lower.
-
I paid $1586 thru Copper Custom with First Responder discount.

My X95 is waiting for pickup at G&S Hunters... I ask for the barrel to be cut back when the break is pinned... I ordered a VG6 Epsilion break but the packaging references flash suppression and the three prong tip was too risky... I then was ordering a phase 5 tactical Fatman but that looks to big in the overall diameter so I did not pull the trigger... Any suggestions for a cool looking break....

FYI - my local PD issue my pistol permits and I show them My Florida drivers Lic along with my NJ boat Lic as a dual resident..

I was in the same situation as you... I am Primary residence in Florida.... I had to turn in my NJ lic when I got my Florida Lic... I have a hard time finding FFL will to sell me a Pistol in NJ with a Florida DL and a tax bill showing my NJ residence... Long story short I get a NJ boat Lic from DMV.. It will have your old NJ drivers Lic number on it so it will process thru the NJ NIC's system without an issue. When I purchase a pistol/rifle in NJ I do not even mention I have a Florida drivers Lic... The boat Lic looks just like a drivers Lic... I even accidentally rented a car at Enterprise with it..

Why only a Nagant revolver??? Its unique action move the cylinder forward to eliminate the forcing cone gap when firing and then back to rotate.
