  1. I think I have to bow out. Haven't been able to scare up more than the one speedloader & only have 100 rounds of ammo that'll make power factor. That said, all of the above is ordered and on the way. So count on me being there next month.
  2. And indeed, Ruger has stopped making these indefinitely. http://rugerforum.ne...html#post735254 I really wish I had bought one when I could have...
  3. Sorry about all the ?s (this is my first competition shoot of any kind). Holsters: I would imagine the first one is OK. Second, no go?
  4. People say great things about the .327's ballistics. And there's nothing wrong with an SP, except I haven't seen one in that caliber online or irl in a looong time.
  5. Registered. What next? Do I join an open squad? How many speed loaders?
  6. Raises some interesting questions- Can anyone hire armed security? Does the business owner have to show some kind of justification (deals w/ lots of cash, has been threatened, etc)? What about individuals? Can I hire armed security, so long as I can afford it?
  7. Never shot one, but recently read this: http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2012/12/foghorn/gun-review-sig-sauer-1911-nitron/
  8. Went back on Thursday to put in for more P2Ps, this is how it went: -Was told the turn around is ‘about’ 4 months. For permits! -Was also handed that release form again and told that "Yes we contact your employer" and "Yes we tell them it's for a handgun permit." -I thanked the lady and walked out. I’m not going to just sign that form, but here’s what I’m looking at in terms of getting it changed: -Speak to the Captain in charge. Unfortunately for me, it’s not likely he’s going to be changing any policies on his own, given his work situation: http://www.nj.com/middlesex/index.ssf/2012/12/edison_police_captain_files_co.html -The Chief. http://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/2013/02/attorney_generals_office_steps.html http://www.nj.com/middlesex/index.ssf/2012/12/edison_police_officers_investi.html -The Town Council. http://em.gmnews.com/news/2013-01-03/Front_Page/Shootings_cause_Edison_council_to_rethink_gun_sale.html -The Mayor. http://www.nj.com/middlesex/index.ssf/2012/12/mayor_cites_connecticut_school.html#incart_river_middlesex http://www.nj.com/morris/index.ssf/2012/12/washington_twp_mayor_on_assaul.html -My State Senator. http://njgunforums.com/forum/index.php?/topic/44914-nj-sen-barbara-buono-focus-on-gun-control-issues/ -My Assemblymen: PJ Diegnan. http://www.politickernj.com/62819/cuomo-ny-legislature-deserve-credit-passing-firearms-law PJ Barnes. http://www.njleg.state.nj.us/2012/Bills/A4000/3659_I1.HTM -My Congressman. http://www.ontheissues.org/NJ/Frank_Pallone_Gun_Control.htm -And, of course, my effin Senators. http://www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm?State=NJ Looks like it might be a while before I get more handgun permission slips. AK 47s and AR-15s, here I come.
  9. On topic: In the clip below, what looks like mugging is actually staged for some tv show or something, but the dude in the stripes in thinks it's real and "helps"....... ooops
  10. Wow. I just came home to 7 boxes on my front porch, clearly labeled: Cartridges: Small Arms. I would be pisssssssed if some swiped them.
  11. How about $1.12 / round for reman 9mm (counting shipping): http://www.surplusammo.com/9mm-115-grain-fmj-surplus-ammo-arms-50-rounds-remanufactured-bulk/
  12. I just saw today that kittery trading co has some P345s in stock. A lot of people love those (Mas Ayoub, for instance) and they're discontinued, so might be your last shot at a new one. That said, there's nothing wrong with a .357 revolver. If I could only have one gun, it'd be my GP100.
  13. And they did contact my employer. I hadn't yet updated my address at work. About a week after applying I got an email from HR asking to update my info with them.
