  1. I have battleship plates on my truck so I don't care about that, but I sure as hell am never going to drill holes in my 02 SS Camaro. I zip tied the plate on my billet grille after 10 tickets. Once I become an LEO, the plate is coming right off.
  2. I don't like that HK used a proprietary rail on that gun. If it's a compact 40, you can do a .357 sig conversion though which is nice.
  3. I only have one pistol permit left and the det. at the Newark PD said he didn't wanna see me again this year, but I might use my permit on a OD Glock 21 instead of a P220
  4. Regarding your Arisaka Type 99. I've sent a few!
  5. Browning HP near my bed Glock loaded in the safe
  6. The Sig is still the frontrunner here. Going to see if I can check out an FNX-45 again and the HK45 too. I've been on armslist in my limited free time and despite it being a 1911 style gun, I like the Para P14-45.
  7. Some range results. Brought 2 boxes Dreadful Tula steel cased (this gun does not like it!) Speer Lawman (nice groupings!) Both at 7 yards.
  8. 357 Taurus! or a CZ-75/Witness and eventually a .22 conversion kit. You could also get a used Hi-Power for around $400 on gunbroker. They're built to last, but might not look pretty. Does that really matter anyway?
  9. Sorry for the double post, how about the Taurus 24/7 OSS. Looks AMAZING. I'm not looking for people to bag on Taurus here, I'm asking for experience with the firearm!
  10. Is Paterson Gunsmithing G&S Hunters? I can't find information on the net. If it is G&S Hunters, they do modifications on rifles to make them NJ legal. I can get a cool AK variant and have them modify it for a reasonable price.
  11. As I stated earlier, I prefer to buy used because it's typically cheaper. I'm sure I can find a P220 West German make on Armslist for around $500-600 and as most of you have mentioned these are stronger. I'm not the type of person that cares where things are made, as long as they function correctly I don't even care how they look. Finishes can be reapplied and most parts replaced. I've yet to hold the HK45, but it certainly looks like a fine weapon. I like the spiderman/venom type webbing on the grip. I have a GLOCK 30 already that's the only reason I'm not considering an OD green GLOCK 21. The FNX is a nice weapon as well. I had an opportunity to handle the FNX 40 and it felt great. I felt the 45 and the only thing I didn't like were the magazine baseplates. I don't like how they're a round egg like shape. I'd assume these can be replaced though. I'd like to avoid this becoming a comparison/bashing thread. Obscurity is something I value and if you know of an odd decent quality .45 gun, please suggest it. I always like the look people give me when they see my CZ and don't know what the hell it is. When I bought my Hi-Power, people at the gunshop didn't know what it was! It's a good feeling to me.
  12. I'm looking at a mid range AR and these two are available at the right price locally. Would be used by both right and left handed shooters. Which is the better buy in their respective price range? I believe the Colt can handle 5.56 but it says .223 on the rifle.
  13. I went to some stores today and handled a few. I'm favoring the P220. It's all metal, but it feel soooo LIGHT. Unbelievably light!
  14. * Guild Wars 2 * Anime * Sapporo Beer * Fitness/weight training * Model ships * Gundams I'm pretty talented when it comes to building models. Here's a few shots of stuff I'm working on This model is only 9" long!
  15. I heard HiPoints really aren't all that bad, they just look like Star Wars guns.
  16. It wouldn't be a new gun, I only really buy used. If anything a West German Sig.
  17. I have one permit left now and I plan on adding another .45 to the collection. I'm open to any suggestions but I'm leaning towards one of these three: Witness Elite Match .45, P220, Jericho 941 45 I'd like to avoid another striker fire, but the M&P is a possibility. FNX? Sig/Mauser M2? What else should I consider? I like weird European guns.

    CZ75 SS

gnarly. Great OOB and even better with wrap around grips!
  19. I want something cheap and close. I just care about function, not form.
  20. I have plenty of tools, but I do not have the dexterity or patience to do this myself. i'm looking at buying a Bulgarian plum parts kit, and a US barrel & receiver. Can anybody suggest where I can have the work done? Is there anything else I would need to buy?
  21. Some Hi-Powers, some 1911 models, Sig p210's. Walther P88.
  22. as promised. Serial indicates 54-57. Barrel looks BRAND NEW. Which it might be, but there's this little fish looking thing stamped in under the Cal. 9mm so I don't know. For $425 it might be a junk or a rare find, I don't know. Edit: I'm no camera wiz, forgot to add these photographs
  23. Got it locally for under $500. From the serial number it's built from 54-57. Other than one small scratch/blemish, it looks mint. Barrel is in amazing shape. I believe during this time period they still had an internal extractor.
  24. I'm still having the time of my life deciding. Went scouring on Sunday, I'm shaking things up a bit. I'm now considering 92fs Italy Hi Power P229R (CDNN) Found a very nice hi-power at a great price and looks like it might be the way I go until I get a response on my Gun Price Request
  25. I have 2 permits that I'm going to use, the problem is I'm choosing between three guns. Jericho 941 (black or chrome) 92FS Inox Browning/FN/FEG Hi Power I already have a CZ-75 and I know the Jericho is basically the same, but aesthetically the Jericho is far more pleasing so don't rule it out on similarities. I'm going to get all of them eventually, but who knows when I'll be able to get more permits. This is basically a "what to get first" thread.
