  2. No problem jerk..lol. I hear ya going to do that once the card comes in.. money restricts the need for extra permits but I assume ill be getting another within the year. Thanks Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk
  3. Target practice... lol no realty target practice. I've shot a few l, colt combat commander 45. A glock 45 not sure what model, 38 defender, few 22s, 44 blackhawk. 357 mag. Honestly I enjoyed shooting the glock I'm just not a fan but guess I could be. Kick on the gun didn't bother me I'm 260 and lift a bit here and there lol. Just want opinions, 90 percent of what I've been suggested has been 1911.
  4. Thanks for some advice.. O live in north Jersey first place that comes to mind with large selection in NJ is Rays down south a bit.. can anyone recommended a place with a good selection, not even sure Rays is still open ill have to call first.
  5. So I've finally gotten around to putting in for a pistol permit. My toy money is limited so I need to stay reasonable. I hate extra saftey features and I'm back and forth between 45 and 9 since a 9 is cheaper to shoot but I want a 45. Suggestions... go!
  6. How bout a ban on exploiting traumatized children on national television. As for the ban if someone is suffering from mental illness do you really think a lack of firearms will stop them from doing harm. A Google search shows how to make the B word, a big old car in a busy street, or some old fashion gasoline can have the same devastating effects. As far as criminal violence as opposed to crazy person violence goes there going to get there hands on whatever items they want and not be concerned with a band because there CRIMINALS. You think a drug ban stopped drugs or prohibition stopped alcohol. I know I'm speaking to a group that understands this and I'm beating a dead horse I just can't see why people do not understand this. As far as the statement I heard yesterday "were the only country with this kind of violence" are you serious??
  7. Put an axe blade in the rear bottom stock.. or a set of eagle claw throwing knives embedded tightly into the butt with cord to remove.. or both.. have fun with it. Mind controlling parasites may one day take over man and it could come in handy
  8. My new favorite video. My now second is the exploding muzzle loader that was blamed on a faulty gun. My opinion he just added some if this and that and 300 gr later boom. Good post guess it wouldn't be so bad to have to produce a hunter saftey card to shoot somewhere. Lucky it wasn't worse. Also thumbs up to them blaming it on the sport not the derpaderp shooting it.
  9. Yes if the barrel is interchangeable its not considered a muzzle loader. If your going to P.A. cabelas gander ect.. its simple behind the counter is paperwork on the shelf it's considered a pipe or a pack of gum. Buy all of them if you like no issues. Not sure about N.Y.with muzzl loaders maybe someone can clarify that for me.. but I know pellet guns are the same way in NY. Its like a pack of smokes. Good luck tell us what you decide on.
  10. One of the most accurate guns I've shot in that price range is the TC black diamond. You can get a starter pack for 150 with cleaning supply ect. Stainless black composite stock. Its not a break and its a pain to clean but for a first gun its very accurate. I love mine but have moved on ill never sell it though. Too many deer on that gun.
  11. One ..who brought this to their attention. Police wouldn't scan endlessly on twitter accounts looking for potential criminals someone brought this to their attention I'm sure. Two I'm sure they did some homework first detectives do not enjoy looking stupid when a warrant turns up nothing. Last a good day at the range or excitement of a new gift to our selves as opposed to posing with a sawed off is a little different . I like to think that with most law enforcement I've encountered with my fire arms had a decent understanding of my intentions. Only once have I had a scenario that was borderline harassment and it was a dispute about whether or not my father's muzzle loader was loaded. After 15 minutes of radio contact and head shaking did he accept that with no primer it was unloaded. I understand the need to challenge the law when it closes in on our rights but I am always happy when a bad guy gets caught. Remember it might be one of us that gets caught in the crossfire and since were not in Texas our only option is to lay down and wait for police to save us or the medical examiner to scrape us up. Less criminals lead to better gun laws for responsible people. Please don't hate me I'm new :/
  12. Wow Oldschool that's about 15 minutes from me i've never heard of them. Now I'm excited to take a look at what they have. I'll probably stop by Wed since I'll be in the woods tomorrow. I saw that there was some tc bellm kit you could order but i don't trust myself working on my guns when it comes to repairs. Thanks for the advice Ill tell him you sent me.
  13. Hey everyone new here first post. Great website!! just wondering if anyone knows a good Gun Smith in North New Jersey that would be capable of doing a trigger job on a Pro Hunter FX muzzle loader? I live near Ringwood and would prefer to drop it off rather ship it, I don't really trust blind walk ins. I would love some feed back... Thanks in advance!!
