Hello all. Finally got my ass in gear and joined Easton fish and game....joined up at Sarcos crusade the isles really quick grabbed a couple of things and to the range we went..... me and the wife got there around 2 and meet up with Earl who was the range master for the day. We pulled up and as we were unloading the gear be shouts that the range was closed to new shooters......I was like WTF......as I walked up him and a younger cat were laughing. I was like are you kidding we just joined!!!! Welcome he said and shook our hands really cool cat. Went over the range rules and we chatted for a while really nice guy. We set up shop and I got the wife comfy with the 20' Bushy she had never handled an ar before so she was excited and a little scared. I ran a couple of mags through her (the rifle not the wife....lol) and cut her loose. Man did she do awesome I got a bad ass Annie Oakley on my hands.....I was shaking.g down my new build and she ran awesome......had a couple feeding issues but it was due to the two crappy pro mags....all my Pmags ran without a hitch......anyhow we shot up about 1500 rounds. Between the two of us......the dynacomp got so freaking hot that the rails were melting the carpet on the bench.......the sun started going down and we were out of ammo so we packed up the gear and headed out.....I was grinning like the cat that ate the mouse but not as big of a grin as my wife had on her face...she wants to go back tomorrow and now wants her own ar.....yeehaa I can start that noveski lower I wanted ....oops I mean the one she wants lol....anyway for the price it can't be beat nice clean and it was nice to meet others that enjoy the sport.....just figured I'd drop a quick review of the place what a great day at the range.....now were home and Iam the wife clean the rifles...lol

I know its a little late but I pinned my STR right under the rubber plug. Doesn't distract from the looks you don't destroy the stock and if you ever need to move it you could just drill the pin out move repin ....

Hey all hope e Argonauts is well just heard some interesting news today I heard that they are going to be building a firearms range in Branchburg. The person I was talking too is very reliable. I told home that the heritage guild just opened their outdoor archery range but he told me that wasn't it and it wasn't associated with the HG.....anyone get a wiff of this? If I hear more I will post.....

I have heard that HK offers a water modification that is not available on the civilian version. And that is not available on the colt m4.

Don't camp in NJ anymore. Used to but we got a corso and NJ allow dogs in there state parks and Iam not into the family camp sites (club house,arcade,basketball court ect ect) PA is nice and they allow dogs at most of there state sites . But we go up to Vermont at least 4 times a year if not more. Once you camp their nothing else come close.....

Let me tell you a little stories. I have spent my entire career with a spotless record. 15 years with no write ups. Yes I am no stranger to IA investigations have had a few throughout the years. I am known as a firm but fair officer. I don't play friends with animals like some others do but I treat them as they would treat me. If you treat me with respect (as a human not a cop) Than I will treat you the same. About 2 1/2 years ago I was involved in a situation involving an inmate. This inmate wasn't pleased with me so he made some colorful remarks that could have landed him in segregation for a few days not to mention getting booted out of the kitchen and getting time off his sentence for work credits and good behavior...ah yeah welcome to my world.... anyway I had this inmate report to my control area to speak to him this area was populated with other officers and civilian workers. Not to mention cameras all over the place. I sat down with the inmate and gave him a verbal repremand no physical contact what so ever. Needless to say the inmate was upset and was returned to the kitchen area where he was heckled by the other inmates. Let me also add that I am 5,11 280 lbs this inmate was 5'7 150 lbs. Anyhow to speed things up a little I spent 15 month's on suspension without pay because this inmate filed a complaint that I beat the crap out of him.. punching him in the face with a closed fist 7 or 8 times....really the photos that IA took the following day showed no such injury but the grand jury didn't have a problem true billing me......even after I volunteered to waive my rights and testify at the grand jury they refused me. Oh and buy the way if you didn't know if your Leo and are charged with a second degree crime your going to prison for 5 years no parole no probation no PTI that's only for you doctors and bartenders... turns out between the video and photographs oh and the many phone calls to his girlfriend explaining to her how they were going to "JAMB ME UP REALLY GOOD" not to mention the passing polygraph I volunteered for the case was dismissed and I am back to work......but to all that think a cops job is simple or we freaking make too much reread this storie and tell me how you would feel That all you have worked for could be swept away by the words of some scumbag. Oh but he was doing time for possession and assault on an Leo.... oh that's right they dropped the assault on a Leo for a guilty plea for the possession charge .... oh and while were at it how was Christmas with the family

Because it seems like even a simple explanation will not suffice...if you want the truth than man up and do what we Leos do....that's the only was you will really know what we are up against.... thanks

Hello all just came across this thread and Iam a bit bothered. It seems like some dont truly understand what's going g on here. The fact is that most of the people that have a disliking for Leo are ones that have done wrong. Iam a corrections officer in a county jail and I have seen alot of messed up stuff.there are so called humans that would not think twice about putting me in the ground if they had the opportunity to do so. These are the same so called humans that would have no problem raping your wife or daughter while they made you watch. Or maybe the gang bangers that to make rank need to kill a cop any cop.....today's Leo face a much broader advisary smarter,more informed and out gunned in most cases....not to mention Joe public snapping away with there cell phones getting only half the story and the media running with it. As Leo there are many guidelines and SOP that need to be followed and many are political bullcrap so Iam sorry if so many feel like the police have too much power or arnt too friendly I disagree. We are not superheros although some days I wish I was...I got into law enforcement to help people without thinking of myself first. My first priority is to protect the public as best I can but the public needs to trust us also.its a two way street. Yes I wear BDUs to work I carry a sidearm I belong to a tactical team and we do have big guns. Its all in the name of keeping the public safe..so please cut us a break...please remember were here to protect you.... thank you.

Hey bro that's looking to be a really nice build. I just finished up my first from scratch build. I was looking to save some money but it really didn't turn out that way. On the other hand you can build a rifle that is build to your specs. You can't beat a Spikes lower that's what I started with and I love it fit and finish is very good. I was looking for a Noveski but even the chainsaws were hard to come by. At least until I bought my Spikes lol.....as far as the uppers go if you assembled the lower you can do an upper. If your close to Branchburg I have the tools which makes the job go alot better. I have been using Armslist and I've had some good luck finding parts. I went with a Spikes 14.5 enhanced barrel brand new....the dude sold it because he didn't know how to weld the brake. I also found a Vltar MUR for a good price also brand new. Hope this helps the guys here are awesome and they know there shit...well most of them anyway. Haha...

Hello all. Hope everyone had a great holiday. My question is Iam coming into the home stretch of my ar build just waiting for a few barrel part's from the fedex man. The last part I need is a brake. Iam running a 14.5 barrel so it needs to be 1 1/2 inches long to meet the 16 inch minimum. I've been looking at the Battlecomp 1.5 which get awesome reviews but a little pricey. Spikes dynacomp which they say is just as good as the BC. But a bit cheaper. Than there's the BCM Mod1. Dont know too much about that one except that BCM uses it on their uppers. Oh and there's the old stand by the YHM phantom.....oh boy so you see my point.... I don't want to start to get cheap on this build so its not about the cash. But I do want to get the best for my money....thanks all
