  1. Ive added a Spyderco resiliance and Dendra Deer Hunter to my already huge pile of edc knives. The Dendra is made by lion steel and is a beast, reminds me of a jacked up version of the ZT 0200. It has D2 steel and its alittle heavy, but worth its weight in gold. It seems indestructable.
  2. Simple, cheap, and it'll work. It is an addiction, be careful. I started with one and now have a pile.
  3. I've carried a Sogzilla for awhile now and I love it. It's cheap and stays very sharp for awhile. There is a large and smaller version. It's unassisted but is a quick knife and has a very nice deep carry pocket clip like many other Sog knives. It's one of those knives you can clip to your pocket and almost forget its there. If it gets lost your only out 30 bucks or so.
  4. Just wondering what you guys are seeing as far as the rut kicking in. Ive seen some chasing last week and then it seemed to die down. Really hit or miss this it seems. I think these warmer temp are really doing a number on the activity. Perhaps later this week itll blow up? What do you guys think. And is it just me or is this years rut really late?
  5. Not sure if this is the right place for this post. My father and I have been looking around for another hunting property for awhile now with no luck. We are strictly bowhunters and are willing to offer up to $2000 cash per season for the right property. If you have some land willing to lease please shoot me a PM. We have been hunting many years and are very responsible and respectful of the land we hunt. We are also willing to help out around the property if needed. Looking for 5-100 acres. Big or small it doesn't matter, as long as its large enough to be legal to hunt on. Somerset, hunterdon or Central Jersey.
  6. +1 for Heritage Guild in Branchburg. Shawn is the head bowtech and is awesome. I would never take my bow anywhere else.
  7. D Damn dude you smacked that thing. Never seen one run up a tree like that and die. Sweet sweet video
  8. Just wondering if anyone else films their hunts here on njgunforums. I've been filming my hunts for about there years. Currently I'm using a Sony HDR-FX7 and a Sony SLT-a57. If your filming lets see em. Check me out on YouTube just type WhitetailMathewsZ7 in the search bar. I've had some great hunts filming my girlfriend over the past couple years. I was able to film her first doe and first buck with her bow. Yes female + bow = badass chick.....lol. I've been crazy about hunting ever since I started 5 years ago. Once I added a camera it's been addicting. I won't step in the woods without it. Capturing those memorys has been such a journey. Many ups and downs but when it all comes together the rewards are so worth it. With a new season right around the corner I'm getting pumped!
  9. Glad I went. The film was great. A must see for sure. Not only for gun owner but for everyone else. It would be very eye opening for everyone else.
  10. Just saw it......awesome film. Highly recommend it!
  11. I got my two tickets.......I will be there. Looks very interesting
  12. Glad to hear. They give up so much for our freedom. God bless your brother John and all our troops. My brother missed the birth of his first child while being over there. Our military is made up of the strongest in the world. Semper Fi!!
  13. Has anyone had any LEO trouble carrying in nj. Would it be better to carry concelled completely to avoid trouble or are they ok with seeing clips. I haven't had any issues and have carried a mid to large folder for a while now.
  14. Just seeing what people are edcing here in nj. My go to is my Spyderco Endura. But I alternate between the endura, tenacious, rat 1, cara cara ii, and the sogzilla. The spydercos are awesome and damn sexy. The rat 1 is a tank and it gets a lot of use at work. I love how low the carry is on the sogzilla. And the cara cara is a good worker also. Every knife has its purpose and I never leave home without at least one! What are your favorites and why?
  15. We looked into the manbug, she decided on the mini grip because she liked how it locked, perfect size, and with the pink one your helping breast cancer. She has EDCed it everyday since and loves it.
  16. It's the 154cm with a thumb hole. Although it is pink ....its a really solid knife. I might be looking into a full size griptillian soon! I've always been a spyderco fan but I like it.
  17. So we went shopping today and after we went back and forth with a couple she decided on the benchmade mini griptillian......in pink. As long as she likes it and has it with her AT ALL TIMES I'm cool with pink. It's crazy sharp and seems to be put together very well. I also picked up an Endura 4 with the spyder edge. Both are really Sweet knives!
  18. Id say get rid of the rust thats already there with a soft brush and oil that baby! It could also be where you are storing the gun. Hot to cold and humidity can do it. Store in a cool, DRY place and keep it oiled.
  19. So we have been looking around for a nice EDC knife for my Girlfriend and have been coming up alittle short. We are looking for a folder thats light and strong. Something she can carry while running and in her purse, just to have. For the everyday uses and whatever she might come across. We have looked at the Spyderco Delica and decided thats in the running but it seems to be alittle large. The Tenacious is better but to heavy. We looked at the Kershaw Leek, Chive and Scallion but they are not to grippy and she feels itll slip off her waistband. Im personally not the biggest fan of benchmade but they are a posibility. Any suggestions? Something between 2-4 oz. Grippy handel, good steel, and right in the 6-61/2 open length. Open for suggestions up to around 200 bucks but would rather spend under 100. Thanks.
  20. Glock 19 all the way. Simplicity is a wonderful thing. It just works everytime. So easy to break down and clean.
