  6. hopefully you only voted for him the first term. By his second term he had shown his true colors. I think everyone here at one time or another regrets casting a ballot for the wrong guy. Happens to the best of us. I cant tell you how many times I wasted a vote on a Ross Perot or Ralph Nader multiple times. I learned my lesson. I really wish Ron Paul played ball with the Republican party then when he got elected he said "surprise I'm really a constitutionalist conservative" but i guess he instead tried something different and ran an honest campaign loosing the primary because of it. The Obamunist ran as the saviour of the free world and turned out to be a total socialist, hell bent on making the majority of the country dependant on the government instead of on themselves. So he lied to get elected, typical politician stuff. Sent using Tapatalk 2 NOW FREE!!!
  7. My house in Hopatcong I measured about 17" total for both of yesterday's snowfall. I'm at just about 1000 feet where I live, second highest point in town by about 9' less than the mountain on the other side of town. My 24" Craftsman blower powered through everything, took a little while to get the end by the road because I live on a bend and the plows just dump tons of snow when they are cleaning the street but I got it done, nothing new for me I guess. 8. Maybe true with todays wussy kids. I was way more aggressive as a teenager, than I observe kids acting now. Sent using Tapatalk 2 NOW FREE!!!
  9. While the fictional way of life is different. The teenage attitude is the same IMO... he acts like a jerk just like I used to, and I'm sure most of us did at that age. But that's the script. To me they nailed it, I totally believe a kid in the real world would act the same way. Sent using Tapatalk 2 NOW FREE!!!
  10. ^^^agreed. Their portrayal of a teenage boy is accurate in this episode. Sent using Tapatalk 2 NOW FREE!!!

  15. You should call in your deer from the feild immediately if you have service. That way you dont give the Neo Nazis, sorry I mean the "Conservation officers" any reason to bust your balls. Obviously if the guy was trying to fill out the tag in the feild he already got a harvest number to fill in. Ive found the best way to avoid dealing with these jerkoffs is stay off state land, & know the rules to the letter of the law. Also know how to talk to cops properly, (they are cops) if they are asking you questions its not to be friendly. Its to conduct an investigation and trick you into incriminating yourself. That is in their training, and most are good at it. If you have an encounter with these guys I keep the Conservation to a minimum, one word answers or answer back with another question. When these guys approach you in the feild they will act like their your best friends, trust me they are not. Dont willingly disclose any more information then necessary. I now know this after dealing with them enough times. I hand them my license and whenever they ask anything I say "everything you need to know about me is in your hand" "I dont answer questions" Sent using Tapatalk 2 NOW FREE!!!

  18. same thing happened to me. Had another pen in the truck so I drug the deer with me to go get it and fill out my tag. When I got to my pick up the CO was there checking other guys. I got written for improper tagging. $125 summons. You cannot touch or move the deer until the tag is filled out in ink completely & affixed to the animal, is the way the law read at that time. Two years later during a deer drive I unknowingly trespassed on private property while I was pushing deer to the shooters. Didn't even have a gun just walking, and veered off state land onto unposted property. The property owner saw me and began yelling. I just pretended I was deaf and picked up the pace back to state land. When we finished the drive the CO's were waiting for us at our trucks. I got a civil trespass ticket. And lost my hunting and fishing privileges for 2 years. That sucked. same CO both times. Worst part is my father in law (who works for fish and game for 20 years) was with me both times I got tickets he worked with and was friends with this CO for years, and he couldn't get me out of trouble. Those guys are dickheads! I wouldn't be suprised if they wrote their mother's tickets lol. The bright side was I didn't spend my usual $250 a year to the state for two seasons for any license, permits, or stamps. I just fished at night and stayed off state land to hunt without a license. I just made sure I wore my Adidas in the woods & a ghili suit no orange. At that time I was in my mid 20's and in great physical shape, no 45 year old fat donut eating CO was catching up with me if I had to bolt. Tell your buddy not to get another ticket within 5 years or he will be in that same boat. BTW the new indestructible paper the new licenses are printed on is almost impossible to write on with a ball point pen in the woods. Carry a fine point sharpie in your license holder. They make short ones like 3" long. I keep one in mine ever since I got busted 12 years ago. Sent using Tapatalk 2 NOW FREE!!!
  19. I saw one recently at a show for $150. Bought one a few years ago for $100 from a guy selling it for bail money, he owed child support and directed his brother to sell all his guns to get out of jail. Also got a Winchester 150 Ranger for $100 from the same guy and a Mossberg 500 for $125. All three were in beautiful shape. The deals are out there just a matter of being in the right place at the right time. Look and you will find them. All three of those guns just sit in my safe collecting dust, I always grab my Maxis over any of those pumps to hunt with. I'll probably give one to my nephew when he grows out of my first 20g. 20. Thats the reason the barrel wont fit the tactical receiver. Mag tube too long. I hunt duck with 3" also, goose I use 3-1/2" The 3-1/2's are just too much for duck IMO. Sent using Tapatalk 2 NOW FREE!!!
  21. I personally would just buy another 870 express. They can be had used for $100 if you look around. Probably less than a barrel would cost. Ive seen a lot lately for sale. Everyone that hunts is into the 3.5" shell receiver these days. Any shot gun I own stays in the safe these days and collects dust if it cant chamber a 3.5" shell. Except my over under, I still use that for birds and skeet. Turkey, goose, duck, deer are all being hunted more these days with 3-1/2's. Unless your and old man with a 50 year old JC Higgens or Ithica. I would just expect to not see a Baby Boomer with a modern shotgun. They fear change:lol: Not that there is anything wrong with those older guns they do kill, just not as well as the bigger rounds do. Sent using Tapatalk 2 NOW FREE!!!

  23. Cant go wrong IMO with a Glock 19 gen4. Wont break the bank. & If you dont like it after you own one, its an easy sell. Everyone should have at least one Glock in their collection. Go to a range that rents, try out a bunch of guns and decide. I think choosing a gun is a lot like choosing a woman, we all love women but have a thing for different features. Its just not something you can have someone choose for you. Sent using Tapatalk 2 NOW FREE!!!
