  1. Thanks everyone, kind of what I figured. Doc and Pizza Bob, I'll just hope they don't come kick the doors in for even thinking about it. Thanks.
  2. Sorry to make another one of these threads... I know you can't give legal advice but looking for opinions on this situation. My friend in south Jersey is buying his first handgun this weekend and wants me to go with him to check it out and then do some target practice (purchased at the shooting range). I would be staying at his house overnight. If I transport my handgun according to the law may I bring it to his house, go to the range, then leave it at his house if we go out somewhere? Or is that an illegal transfer? I know not to make any "unnecessary" stops and I will be going to a range but I will also be stopping at his residence... Hope someone can help!
  3. I too have one and I love it (granted it is my first AR) but I didn't have any of the problems I read about (not cycling. 223, bolt not locking back on last shot). It is definitely heavy compared to other DI guns and the basic irons aren't great but for me the rifle runs great and shoots well. Trigger isn't too bad either and it really is practically clean even after a few hundred rounds.
  4. I was finally able to take it to the 100 yard range a few weekends ago and it ran well I just wasn't quite able to zero the irons well. But no failures of any kind except when I didn't seat the mag correctly. Love the optics on their shawn that's my next purchase.
  5. I have a Nexus 7 by Asus and love it. The newer version has a much better processor and is still very reasonable, especially compared to the iPad.
  6. I've shot 300rds of their reman 9mm without a hiccup through my G19 and my dad's 92 compact. A few eject backwards but I've never been hit by the brass before. Their 5.56 reman has run through my sig 516 without trouble as well. Just more ordered more 9mm
  7. Gotcha, and for the price you can't go wrong. Thanks for the info! Sent from my LG G2 using tapatalk
  8. Wow that's an awesome deal. Is the combo on their heavy? Since the rifle is pretty heavy imo, but it is more front heavy, might actually balance it a little. I usually go to RTSP. Sent from my LG G2 using tapatalk
  9. Rifle looks awesome supra! Glad you like it I finally shot mine the other day but didn't really take the time to zero the iron sights. Functioned flawlessly though. How much did the optic/magnifier run you? Sent from my LG G2 using tapatalk
  10. Thanks deer park! And thanks Griz, still haven't gotten to shoot it but I have heard that this will make shooting more comfortable for me and the people next to me. Actually like how it looks without a brake and doubt I'll have trouble with the recoil. Thanks for the helpful info! Sent from my LG G2 using tapatalk
  11. Thanks Rob! Not sure yet HK, once I get more proficient and start taking carbine classes where rapid follow up shots are required I'll probably have it done. But for just target practice I'll keep it the way it is. Sent from my LG G2 using tapatalk
  12. Thanks all, I'll post a review and some target pics once I get it to the range. Sent from my LG G2 using tapatalk
  13. Just got it today, Sig 516 Patrol Sent from my LG G2 using tapatalk
  14. Congrats guys, your range really is an awesome place. Well deserved. Sent from my LG G2 using tapatalk
  15. Sure, I'll shoot you a PM Sent from my LG G2 using tapatalk
  16. Just picked up my first AR today, been waiting 3 months for it to come in. It is a Sig Sauer 516 Patrol (NJ compliant version). It's a piston AR chambered in 5.56/.223, 16 inch barrel with a 1in7 twist and no brake at the moment. Magpul MOE pistol grip, ergo rail covers, ambi mag release and charging handle and stock flip up sights. Unfortunately only came with 1 metal 10rd mag so I plan to order some pinned 15rd magpul mags from the awesome NJGF vendors. Hopefully I can get out to the range tomorrow to shoot it! 17. Looks awesome, I like the noveske panels. Would they install on a quad rail? Sent from my LG G2 using tapatalk
  18. Thanks everyone I think that was more the issue, the possession not the transportation. Still not crystal as nothing here is but that definitely clears it up a bit Sent from my LG G2 using tapatalk
  19. So if he is not a new jersey resident he can't bring them? Sent from my LG G2 using tapatalk
  20. I was under the impression you only need an FPID (firearms PURCHASE identification) to buy a gun, not to have one. And it's only long guns no handguns so he shouldn't even need a proof of purchase. Again this is just all my thoughts so anyone who is certain please chime in. But then again... who could be certain in this state. Sent from my LG G2 using tapatalk
  21. I have a friend who is renting an apartment here in New Jersey and has been wanting to bring down his long guns from upstate New York. He is afraid it is illegal to store them there. It's my understanding that as long as there is not a "no firearms" clause in his lease agreement, it is his current residence and he should be fine. He is not looking to purchase a firearm or ammo so the FPID is irrelevant. Any opinions or troubles he should be aware of? Could his township have laws against storing firearms in a rented apartment? Thanks guys for any help you can offer. Sent from my LG G2 using tapatalk

  23. +1 for the Driscoll bridge. Also, if there are more than 2 wawa's in any direction within 10 minutes you're in SJ Sent from my LG G2 using tapatalk
  24. I've only owned firearms for less than a year but my first (and so far only) handgun was the G19, which is just the compact version of the G17. For me I got it because I have smaller hands and the grips were comfy enough, plus at the range its a little lighter and it always go bang no matter what I run through it. I've shot a few berettas and they're also great but for me it's a little heavier but the sights are certainly nicer. The lack of a safety doesn't bother me on the glocks, but if you feel that need you might want the 92. Just my. 02 from another pretty new gun owner. Sent from my LG G2 using tapatalk
