  1. So I see next weekend is the Oaks Extravaganza show with 2000 tables. Is this show that much better than a regular Oaks show or is it just a fancy name for the same old same old? Been to the regular show, was never really impressed, want to see if this is worth the drive (live in Moorestown area). TIA.
  2. I got my CZ's at Cheyenne's on rt 130 in bordentown. Not the best prices but they always had them in stock.
  3. I worded it wrong.....I know it can be pinned but I meant id rather try to buy one that's already NJ compliant IF they even make one. If id have to use my FFL and gunsmith then so be it. Just easier to me to buy it already in compliance. Just my opinion....I'm lazy about it!
  4. Gen 1....40 cal, glock magazines. Was hoping for a Gen 2 because I heard about the different stock positions, but dont I have to find one in NJ compliant?
  5. I do have S&W magazines if I went the Kel Tec route
  6. All great ideas guys. Shot my brothers Kel Tec sub 2000 today but it almost seemed a little "short". Felt like I couldnt get my eye lined up with the sights in a comfortable position....almost need a few more inches for comfort. I follow Tanners on FB and saw that Ruger1022, along with them also having Ruger 5.56 on sale for $499 too....of course, because I just sold my 5.56 because there's nowhere near me where I can really shoot it...and now I want the Ruger. I'm sick. Guy at work has a SW 15-22 and gonna shoot with him this weekend. I'm definitely gonna look at all the suggestions here- some great ideas.
  7. But I can stretch the budget for something that I will fall in love with.
  8. Purpose would be just fun....going to the range and just having fun. Budget id like to stay $500 or under because its just going to be a "fun" gun. When I get another AR15 ill probably build it and budget won't matter. Last time my brother and I went shooting the guy next to is let us try his Kel Tec sub 2000 and my brother loved it so much he went right to the counter and bought one.....thats kind of what I want.
  9. Lol. I know I know. I prefer indoor ranges and none of them near me allow a 5.56...... I could do Ft Dix but just never got around to it. And they're cheap enough and plenty enough around that I can get another one whenever. Weak answer but its the best I got!
  10. Hey all, looking for opinions. Just sold my S&W M&P sport 2 AR mostly because I bought it before the election just to have it, but never even shot it. So I'm looking to replace it with something that I can actually take to the range and shoot and have fun with. What comes to mind first are the M&P 15-22 and the Kel Tec sub 2000. Can shoot them in an indoor range and they look fun. Am I missing anything? Thoughts? I like the price range of them too....don't want to go the route of a CZ scorpion. Thanks.
  11. I have the 75 SP-01 in the safety model amd the 75 compact in decocker model. Love both guns but the SP-01 is my favorite gun that I own. Something about the steel instead of plastic like other guns, rock solid and makes me a better shooter than I really am. Whatever you choose you cant go wrong.
  12. This. I'm totally with you on this. I prefer indoor ranges and living in Delran I find myself heading to Ready Aim Fire in Bristol PA. $185 a year for a membership, no charge for a lane when I go shoot....that's what I'm hoping for with Legacy. I was only at Gun for Hire once and yes it is an awesome place so if Legacy comes even close to that then I'll be very happy, even if it means not buying a membership and just paying as I go when I want to shoot.
  13. I have a 686 with 6" barrel that i bought used from Rob0115 (great guy) on this forum....unbelievable gun, I love everything about it, especially when shooting .357 rounds out of it and everyone else at the range stops shooting to come down and see what the hell I'm shooting. My brother took burst pics of me firing and i have an awesome pic of the fire shooting out the sides of the cylinder....if i can figure out how to upload it here thrn i will.
  14. If im reading it right, it looks like even with a membership you still have to pay a "discounted rate" each time you go to shoot. No real point in a membership then unless you pay for nothing else. Anyone else read it that way?
  15. For my south jersey folks....saw on facebook that a new indoor range will be opening spring of 2017 behind the Walmart on rt 130. I cant really find details though...they have a website but no details about opening. Will be nice to have an indoor range close to home!
  16. SGAMMO gets most of my business. As others have said, no need to upload DL or FID, and fast shipping. My only beef with them is that they're out of stock a lot of the ammo I use so when they get it back in stock, I stock up. And they'll notify you if you want for what you want when it's back in stock. Also I tried defender outdoors and was really happy too with price and speed of shipping. Had to upload both DL and FID though. Bulkammo.com - way more pricey than SGammo.but always seems to have everything in stock.
  17. It's funny because I was kicking around the thought of selling my NJ compliant S&W m&p sport 2....I bought it about 6 weeks ago and it's been in the closet since then, never fired yet. Took it out of the box to look at it in my bedroom and then into the closet it went. Bought an extra magazine, about 250 rounds and a case, but haven't touched it since the day I bought it. So I thought maybe I'd just sell it......then tons of people on here told me hang on to it because of what may or may not happen so it seems like most people have that mindset to not sell anything now because of November.
  18. I might beat you there....the wife is going on a road trip this weekend to check out Apex, Cary, etc. Step 1 in the get out of NJ process begins!!
  19. That's why I bought it in the 1st place...fear of not being able to buy one after she's sworn in
