I'd love to show up to the range with this

Recommended Posts

I'm pretty sure it's OK. Even if it is applicable to the "evil features" list(which I don't think it is), it would one only have the flash supressor/muzzle break thing on the end of the barrel, and even then.. its good to go because it's only 1 feature..

I think to be extra sure, you would have to limit your links to 15 rounds each.. but that is one of those "never proven" things.. afaik..

There was a guy who had a semi-auto M1919 at the last black rifle shoot at Old Bridge, and he let me shoot a few rounds.. man.. that was sweet...

where do I get the ammo on the links?

the links count as a mag I assume

This was never proven...

Generally, a magazine is spring loaded, but who knows in NJ..

Ive spoken to a few different cops and other belt-fed owners and the general consensus is that as long as you have no more than 15 rounds linked, its NJ legal. Also the Goryunov is 100% NJ legal...Its not on the list and doesnt have enough evil features.....As for the links, they are non disintergrating belts , so you have to cut them into 15 round lengths. They are the same belts that you can use with the Maxim and the PKM (I think). They shoot 7.62x54R caliber ammo, which is still available and relatively inexpensive. Im still glad I stocked up when the stuff was incredibly cheap. Its good to see that other belt fed weapons are finally making their way to the market, even if they do cost an arm and a leg.

P.S....The guy at the Old Bridge shoot with the 1919 may have been me.....There were a few of us there...
