Question: Borrowing Guns

Can New Jersey residents borrow guns from a friend while in PA if they stay in PA to test them out at the range?

 

And are there differences between borrowing handguns and long guns?

New Jersey laws have nothing to do with your question. Check PA and Fed laws, but I see no problem.

Ok, I was mainly focusing on borrowing a handguns, since it seems being NJ residents we are bound by NJ laws wherever we go I wasn't sure if there was any law in NJ that specifically prohibits borrowing handguns.

You can't be bound by NJ law once you leave? Only Federal and PA law govern your situation.

Once you leave the state, no you aren't bound. With few exceptions (some motor vehicle) you are bound by the laws of the state you are in at the time.
