Anybody know of a gun shop that has an extensive amount of their 1911's on hand? I'd like to fondle a few different models before i get my heart set on another one.

If you just want to look and handle (not the best priced), the closest will be Sayreville Sportsman. They have a good collection of 1911's. The last time I was there, they have Kimbers, Colts, Sigs, SA, Taurus and RIA's.

 

Sportsman's Center in Bordentown is also another option. They have more used guns on display.

I was at sayreville sportsmen a few months ago.. i think they only had a GI model Springfield 1911... I'm looking to fondle the higher end models that they offer like the TRP

Shore Shot in Lakewood has a ton (i.e. about 25) of 1911's in 45ACP new and used. They usually have a variety of Colts, Springfields, etc. Give them a call.
