Guest Posted January 6, 2013 Wondering if anyone knows if the DSA FAL are legal for NJ, I know the FN FAL are illegal. If they aren't! which ones are legal? Thanx and sorry if this is somewhere else new to the site -Payne-
halbautomatisch 60 Posted January 6, 2013 The DSA SA 58 is legal if you buy a NJ compliant model (no bayo lug, muzzle brake instead of a suppressor)
Turboprop21 12 Posted January 6, 2013 Or there's always the possibility of building your own. If your not crucial for having a DSA rifle by name, rather the FAL platform you can always get a parts kit from Sarco which is the unissued Argentinian FAL. From there you get a receiver which Coonan sells made directly for the Argy with all the required cuts done for you. Of course you'll need to comply with the 922r restriction of having I believe it's 7 American made parts. Seems like a lot, but companies sell these parts bundled already for you, nothing too complex. This is the route I'm going and if your anything like me you'll be satisfied knowing what was once a puzzle is now a rifle done by you. There's also a slight savings advantage behind this too. junkmanted 54 Posted January 6, 2013 DSA is sold out of receivers but sarco has the coonans. Not a simple build , just take your time and read up, falfiles.com may help .
