Hoarding of shotgun shells???

Cabela's sent me an email today, suggesting that I prepare for trap season. This seemed like a logical thing to do so i proceeded to the Cabela's web site. To my suprise all target loads are backorderable?? What is going on? Are people really hoarding bird shot and target loads?

I purchased a lot of target loads in the fall and early winter when they were on sale. They're now averaging ten to twelve dollars more per case, so i'm glad I did.
